My boyfriend and I were staying here when there was an earthquake in Northern California and a tsunami warning issued for the coast. The area was evacuated. Which is inconvenient on a vacation but I can’t imagine how stressful that must be to someone who live there, to imagine their home possibly being swept away. My boyfriend and I weren’t in the hotel when the evacuation order came through, we were driving around, and we decided to go up the nearest mountain as far as we could go until we got an all clear. While we were waiting, someone from the hotel called us to let us know about the evacuation and that our room would be refunded if the worst happened. Who are these amazing staff people who are making individual calls to their customers during a natural disaster? Incredible, thoughtful, really awesome people work there, to reach out at a time like that. Thanks yall we had a really nice time.

Changing plans required last minute online search, found Gold Beach Inn had vacancy, perfect room for our party of 3 adults, and SURPRISE include a pretty good hot breakfast included in the price.

It was very clean and nicley remodeled however there were still a few small things in need if repair that may have been over looked, curtins and window were in need or repiar. Value was amazing for the price much more than i expected, i felt safe and secure parking. Rich off the beach however i was not in a room with a view.

Gold Beach Inn had the basic amenitites you're looking for. It's an older property but they have renovated the rooms and I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay and overlook the coast. Plus the outdoor hot tubs were amazing to be in and watch sunset.

The property was very pet friendly, my dogs loved staying here! Loved the location!! Very short walk to the beach was easy and enjoyable. Very clean and comfortable room. I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay again.

The ocean facing rooms are great. Make sure that is what you are booked into as our first night we were overlooking the parking lot.

As a solo traveler it was absolutely terrifying. Very dark and old lodge cabins off the highway. Slept with light on and chair in front of my door.

The beach access was nice. The exterior needed paint and carpet. You could hear outside noise. A piece was broken off the frame of the sliding window.

The property itself needs some attention. They have a good structure and are located on the beachfront. You can see that the rooms have been renovated. The bed is very small, but good. I was really bothered by the fact that they didn't have air conditioning in the room. There was only a control on the wall, and there were no fans. We were there in the summer. When I went to the reception to ask, the lady told me that they didn't have any and that the manager always puts this information on the booking sites (I honestly looked for some notice like this here and couldn't find anything). I could sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was very simple. There was some fruit, bread and coffee. Not a hotel I would recommend.

The pictures on this site are completely misleading. The pitchers do not show the “cabin” option which is COMPLETELY different than the “upgraded” rooms. Our bedding had stains, the room was so dark. We could barely see anything, the bathroom was the size of a small closet and was disgustingly dirty, There were stains all over the room and one of the drawers had mold in it. There were literally bugs crawling on me and the windows were all broken. The cabin was so dark and dingy. I felt like I was in a horror movie. I think it should be illegal to advertise with the pictures that they have and then get stuck in the room they put us in. This place is awful. Stay anywhere but here. Also, the bed was terrible aside from the stains.

We loved the outdoor hot tub and awesome access to the beach. The room was clean. The bed was very hard and bedding was scratchy which would have been doable to still get a decent night's sleep. The issue was there was a homeless (I'm guessing) man digging through the hotel trash for over an hour around 3am right outside our window. He pulled out recycling, so lots of loud noise from cans being thrown on the ground. I never fell back to sleep.

Room was not secure, broken double lock on main door . No security bar on french door . It was difficult to latch. Lower walls, door in bathroom dirty from dogs. Path to ocean good. Breakfast bar was bare minimal. Id stay elesehere for $75 more

Everything was amazing except it could’ve been a lot cleaner. The floors were dirty. They need to mop every time a customer moves out sweep and mop, and there was no mop or broom in the house.

I had very poor customer service. The TV didn’t work in my room nor did the internet. I asked for someone to come look at it, and no one ever came to try and solve the problem. Several hours went by and I let the front desk know for the second time. The young man at the desk, just shrugged his shoulders. I asked for another room and they couldn’t do that either. I left early because I needed the internet for work.

I liked that we could walk to the beach. The room was not as advertised. Our view was the roof of another building and the parking lot. The room also had no heat or a/c. Just some super dusty/dirty fans. The carpeting outside of the room was also filthy

Great location and good value. Cute old cabin, bathroom has been updated. Some cleaning issues, but guessing they are understaffed like so many places these days. Friendly helpful young gal at front desk. I would give them another chance.

The location is great, nice beach access, with hot tub and visiting area near the beach as well. We booked a ocean view room well in advance and didn't get that. The description with your listing of the ocean view room and economy is miss leading. I recommend you clarify that better to avoid disappointed guest like myself.

Cute spot to stay on our road trip. We were in a cabin since we had our pup with us. Comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. Noticed a few cobwebs to take care of in the overhead light while laying in bed. Only reason for the 4 stars.

The cottage was lovely. Our only complaint t was the rustic nature of the electrical outlets. It was difficult to use some of the outlets because whatever you plugged in fell out.
