From the outside, it looks dated and run down. The rooms were clean, overall it’s an old decor but the beds were comfortable.

Nice clean room, great for families as it has the extra bedroom. Friendly staff. Pool was nice but temperature was cool.

Good location, older property, but fair price, great service. If you need something, they will come right away! No elevator, problem if mobility issues.

Check in was quick and pleasant. The rooms are older, the hotel needs updating but it’s very nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was very clean but water a bit cold.

Expedias rate was $40 more than everywhere else, even though it didn’t look that way online. But even if I only paid the $100 that the motel was charging it would’ve been too much still. Barely slept, incredibly uncomfortable bed, didn’t leave AC on because it looked shoddy and there was no fire alarm. Not very clean and incredibly old, not Renovated well, water damage… there was a decayed, dead moth on the counter. Check in people/ management were nice. But don’t waste your money on the worst sleep of your life there are plenty of other places to stay in Hope.

This place is a little older and run down , but had super friendly staff and an epic pool.

Good for our planning, very reasonable rates

Though the rooms were cleaned to the best of staff ability they have not maintained the property. There is an incredible need for capital to invest in maintenance and reno's.

We were just away for one night with our 11 month old and the owners made sure we had a great experience. They had a baby crib we could use for our little man and were available whenever we needed them. The pool was refreshing and room was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The front desk clerk/manager was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and helpful and the other gentleman was also lovely with a great big smile every time we saw him. They were always available right away for everything we needed help with.

Older property, however comfortable stay with our family of 6. Pool was good according to our children very convenient close to all amenities walking distance also the great Rollys restaurant across the st. If you don’t mind older motels them this is your places.

Not a great property. Two stars is being kind

I wasn't sure what to expect of this motel after reading the mixed reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Sure, the room was dated and the furniture was mismatched but it was perfectly clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. The AC, TV, and mini fridge worked as they should. Lots of counter space available to place belongings. One bedside lamp did not work but it was not a big deal at all. Not sure if the pool was open or not as I did not try to go. The staff at reception were friendly and also accommodated a check-in time for one hour early on request. Bonus points for being pet-friendly as well!

The room was very old and the pool closes at 7pm, so did not have time after we arrived to go for a swim

Great quiet motel in the mountains. An older place, but it adds to the charm and character. Reminds me of places I stayed as a child.

The room was clean but very worn out. The bathroom was not pleasant at all, the toilet and shower head were way too low The water was running continuously much more than just a drip, I can only imagine what that must cost them! it was the hot water tooI ended up paying much more than I was actually quoted and on Expedia but that was probably because I had an extra bedroom that I did not request, I only requested 2 double or queen beds.

Under beds dirty. Room not ready with lamp. Door was very hard to close and lock. Not the room that was expected for the money.

The staff were friendly and helpful. However the place is in bad repair. Not dirty, but peeling paint, torn linoleum etc.

The owner of this property is a wonderful gardener and handy man. He with the help of his daughter, has transformed a run down motel into an oasis for the travellers. The building and facilities are old but very clean. The front of the rooms and parking area has been transformed from a bare-lot to a veritable garden. Sitting there during the day was like feeding the soul. We will seek opportunities to spend more time in Slumber Lodge, Hope, BC

Good place and friendly staff

Was adequate. Definitely dated but bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We were there one night, basically just to sleep so it was fine. Had 3 queen beds which was awesome for us and our 3 kids.

This property is in a sorry state. The receptionist was soooo nice but the room and area were not good at all. It was sad really because it just needs a major facelift and it would be an excellent hotel. I was genuinely nervous sleeping there and having my car parked there. Twice in the middle of the night someone jiggled my door handle. The room was dingy, broken plugs, broken lamps, it was just rough. We stayed up as late as possible for safety reasons and slept for about 4.5 hours and left by 730. It was really scary night.

We did not stay. Rundown, filthy and in disrepair. Pool, like others have said, was not available because broken heater but we would have gone in the cold water but didn’t trust that we wouldn’t catch something. New Canadians didn't speak much English. Refunded to Expedia only what Expedia paid them but will have to wait to see if we get reimbursed. Expedia charged us 30% more.

We stayed at the Slumber lodge Motel for two nights. During the day while we were out, we had multiple items go missing from our room including toiletries and several items of kids clothing. My son had been given 70$ as a gift during the trip that was in his shorts pocket in a small pile of dirty laundry but the shorts were among the items that went missing. When we asked the front desk, they were able to "find" the toiletries and some of the clothing (my 9 year old's sandals and t-shirt) but of course the shorts never turned up. We definitely would never book here again or recommend it. If you do stay here, make sure EVERYTHING is out of your room during the day. Besides the cash, the items that went missing weren't things we would have thought we needed to lock up or take with us.

Property is a bit run down and needs a face lift. But it was clean and functional. Everything I saw looked like it could be fixed, but the neglect was apparent. It appears the property has recently changed hands and the new management is working on improvements. It was still good value. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was old, paint peeling. No hot water, leaking sink.

Very clean rooms and property; very friendly and welcoming staff; its just an older and run down building with some things that clearly need updating/fixing. But overall good experience for price and need.
