A basic hotel

The property was fine nothing special, few mins drive from the Main Street and Grand Bend beach. We got good deal for the room. The property can be benefited with some dusting, the vent is full of dust. Also the light fixtures in the reception has spider webs dust on it. Tiles in the shower room are peeling, paint on the ceiling above the shower room is also peeling.

A convenient location a short drive or walk from Main Street in Grand Bend. The hotel meets basic needs and the staff were friendly.

It started off alright, not much to look at when driving up, but clean when entered lobby. Check in was uncomfortable, and no empathy when explained parking situation, it was more of a command and direction as to where car had to be moved to instead of an explanation and request to accommodate other building tenants. After explaining a concern of the comfort of the bed the 1st night I was told that I was the only guest to ever complain and nothing could be done. Entering and leaving the premises wasn't friendly, and even being told the house rules was very demanding instead of explanatory. I believe if someone doesn't want to repeat the same thing to each guest checking in they should find other carriers instead of making a guest feel like they have been told something multiple times the 1st time. Price wasn't that great or much cheaper than other hotels with better location and facilities. Before booking here I would recommend looking at other locations in the area and weighing your budget against your weekend expectations and value for your hard earned money.

Very clean, lovely rooms. Nowhere to walk except on busy street.

The room was dirty. The shower had mold, the pillowcases were stained. The room was set to 27 degrees celsius when we arrived.

Room was very clean and pleasant upon arrival. Good value for the money. Just one negative - it was disappointing to find the fitted sheet had a discolored fair size yellow stain right near top between pillows. It was quite the turn off!! We placed a towel over it. Not sure how the maid couldn’t notice it or why would anyone even use that sheet! It should been thrown in garbage!

Overall it was ok. However, to pay a high dollar we expect better place to stay.

Our stay at Amber hotel was really good. Check-in was very easy. The staff at the hotel, husband and wife, we’re very nice and accommodating. They were very helpful. The room was clean and well air conditioned. When we ran out of supplies, the staff was eager to help. All in all, a good stay!

The showers were disgusting, found a bug in my bed and my card was already charged for both rooms before I even checked in! I DID NOT want the other room charged on my card! Two different rooms should be able to use their own cards! Plus they only clean your room after you check out! I would not go back!

Room was filthy, shower floor covered in black mold, looks like it was never cleaned or disinfected. Check out was to be 11am, after checking in and paying we were told we’d need to check out by 10am as they had a large group coming in. Hotel has a strong unpleasant smell. Room looked out to a Forrest but garbage and materials everywhere. Only small couch like pillows provided on the beds. Dirty walls (blood or chocolate) 😬

Well, if customer service starts with a warm welcome and a smiling face, I haven't seen any of that in the man at the reception. Same when we left, "guardian" type:). Property is ok.

No where to sit outside!!! Bathroom tiles where dirty coffee machine didn’t work Towels felt like sand paper View from the window was back building garbage lot. Windows where so dirty you couldn’t see out of them

Staff was very friendly. No outdoor balcony, rooms need touch up as in paint spills. The a/c units dripped and leaked all night long. Management had me fix it, under his supervision, which was not a permanent fix and it leaked again throughout the next day and night. Clearly this was an issue before, as the floor was damaged in that area.

Good proximity to the downtown strip; quiet with easy parking.

Very crowded and loud. The doors lack any deadbolt or safety. The front desk is NOT 24/7 and it feels unsafe after 10pm knowing there is no attendant or security. Pillows on the bed were square decor pillows not proper sleeping pillows. The location is convenient.

The clerk at the front desk was rude through the entire check in process and argued with me over our reservation and requirements even though I had it in my hand, and made me sign the check in policy without actually letting me read it. The room was small, cramped and dusty. It didn't look like the pictures at all. They also only gave us enough linens and pillows for one person even though the reservation was for two people, and they even had stipulations about how and when we were allowed to use the linens. Seemed like this place was a lot more about finding loopholes and hidden fees to charge the guest than it was about actual guest service. Wouldn't recommend.

Amber hotel had a “10pm-8am” quiet time rule and both nights during my stay was woken up multiple times by running yelling screaming guests in the hallway. Rooms were very small for rate, washroom and shower was very tiny. Shower tiles could use some work

Second time at this hotel and i am happy i found the same good condition.
