We’ve stayed in Bundanoon many times and this is still the best accommodation option. Has a great restaurant and cosy cocktail bar, easy safe parking and a comfortable (albeit old) property. We were given one of the larger rooms (and we always book a room that contains our own bathroom) and were quite comfortable. Not the cleanest place in the world and the extra quilt in the wardrobe needed a wash and there was quite a lot of shower residue - but we’ve both got good immune systems and a forgiving attitude. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Overall an above average choice that ticks all our boxes and we’ll certainly continue to stay at the old Bundanoon Hotel.

This is a typical old country pub, albeit updated in some areas such as a few ensuite rooms (such as we had). The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The room and ensuite were comfortable but not what you could call spacious - queen size bed with a 2 door built in wardrobe, a desk (or perhaps small dressing table - I forget which) and a couple of chairs. The downside? The room was at the front of the hotel and only about 15 or 20 metres from the main, and busy, Sydney to Melbourne rail line - ideal for train-spotters but not for sleeping. The bistro food was pretty good, popular and noisy with people enjoying themselves. Prices were reasonable although the glass of wine was expensive for what it was. While only giving it an overall Average Rating, I would happily stay here again........ if there was a similar room available at the back of the hotel, away from the railway line.

Room too small. Would like at least one chair in the room. Bathroom door does not close. No hangers in the room. Overpriced. Apart from superb staff, everything else not to expectation

Very noisy, but that's not unexpected.

Lady at reception demanded credit card and took it out of sight to do whatever with. Don't think she skimmed it but who knows. Put us in possibly the worst room - at the start of the corridor with literally everyone walking past. Door was a glass windowed door that had white paint over it that allowed in light. Very gauzy curtains. Crash and bash of glass bottles into the recycling bin happened till at least 1130pm. People walking back to their rooms were trying to be quiet but still woke us up. Not recommended unless you ask for a room at the back of the corridor, (say room 57). We were in room 45. No fan and very simple but relatively clean otherwise.

There was long black hair over the bathroom floor. I have short white hair. There were cobwebs and a large black spider around the window. No teaspoons to stir sugar in tea or coffee

Bathroom not in good condition. Plumbing issues caused bad smell in bathroom and bedroom. Bedroom was clean and beds comfortable. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Management moved us to the cottage as the room given to us was not as booked or described. The cottage was great in all respects.

Nice quiet location very friendly staff will definitely be back

A marvellous hotel that feels like a little piece of England. The restaurant needs to get a special mention. The steaks were excellent, and the waiting staff while young, all had an excellent attitude and worked hard.

This is an old hotel but the rooms are lovely. The location and setting are beautiful, with only a short stroll to the town. We booked a shared bathroom so were well aware that it was away from our room, but a little too far for us. The bathrooms although newly renovated, were not super clean. As we were travelling with cold food items we were able to use the communal kitchen, which was handy. Overall, we chose this hotel for its historic charm and we did enjoy.

A great stay in a great village, tennis, pool, bushwalks, good food.

I was really surprised at how nice this hotel is. For a hotel that is so old and priced so cheap everything is in really good condition and very clean. The rooms are decent sized, the beer garden and pool are a vibe and there are modern conveniences like QR code ordering to tables and rooms. The only thing I’d recommend is a firmer mattress next time they’re replaced. I wish we had more time there and hope we have another reason to visit.

Excellent property…my room No3 the vanity had a water teak and as you ran the vanity tap I found water at my feet and it was not from my overfilling or splashing. Also a TV would be great.

We love a stop over where we don’t have to leave for a meal. Restaurant was great. Service was excellent. Comfortable bed. Clean facilities inside and around the grounds. Thank you.

The age and history of the hotel as well as the lovely village of Bundanoon itself, are well worth visiting.

We booked this lovely hotel and it met all of our needs. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Only downside is the train station across the road, the trains could keep some people awake.

Great value for money for a stop along the highway.

The room is quite big but almost empty except 1 queen bed, 2 bedsides, 2 table lamps, 1 electric kettle and 1 mirror. I stayed 3 nights to work on my laptop all the time and felt a sore back because there is just no a table or a desk in the room at all, even though there is plenty space for a small table or a desk.
