I like that it was a different experience being on a house boat. There was an unpleasant smell outside. I liked the location. I didn't like that you could only use their soap, shampoo, conditioner and dish soap and they gave you enough of these for 1 day. I understand the use of these soaps but it should have been mentioned in the literature. Also getting into bed was tough as their was about a foot of space. Next time I'd rent one of their cottages. Overall I did have a very good time and experience.

So,keep in mind that we were just stopping over for the night and thought it be fun to stay the night on a houseboat with the kids on our way to the next part of our trip. We did not realize that this was a fishing area and found it very smelly! Now, if you are an avid fisherman or fisherwoman, then you probably wouldn’t have a problem with it. The place was fine, I would say it’s more like camping in an RV. We enjoy seeing the key deer and iguana…it was the highlight of our stay.

Family trip. We loved this hidden gem in Big Pine Key. The cabins on land are beautiful, spacious and confortable. The pictures don’t make them justice. New and well equipped. You’ll be surrounded by nature with frequent encounters with Key Deer. They add uniqueness to the quiet ambience. Key West is about 40 min away. I highly recommend Old Wooden Bridge!

Amazing stay in a boat!

Loved the view. House was ok. But the soap!!! Ugh. Understand that it is necessary for water boats but just never felt clean. Personal thing. Won't stop us from coming back tho :-)

The cottage was in great condition and had everything for a great stay! Had fun connecting with Tiffany and exploring Marathon, FL!

It’s an old cabin with a noisy AC unit. We struggled to lock the door. Cooking was very tough with that noisy AC unit right across and Zero rating for bathroom. It’s a total disappointment as I booked this resort after looking at some nice pictures.

We were looking for an affordable, clean stay within an hour of Key West. We found it here. Loved the very low *key* nature of this place with views of the bridge and water. Enjoyed the new build and the pool was very nice.

Nice stop over while visiting in the Keys

The stay was nice. The a and b units are older and need some work but the owners were accomodating. There was an oversight with bedding but we improvised and it was corrected the next day. I did like how it was off the beaten path and quiet.

Could be ideal for a small group interested in fishing, but as an overnight stop for a tourist, it was overpriced.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Location is perfect as a base for visting attractions in the Keys.

Hidden gem! We stayed here for two nights and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. From our arrival and meeting the wonderful office staff to departure, our visit was fantastic. Their location overlooks the water and the area made for great sunrise walks over the bridge. Looking forward to future visits!

Staying in a houseboat was unique but the one we were in leaned so we walked and slept at a slant. The area around it was dirty and under construction and there was not a view of any significant water from the houseboat. Only of other houseboats in a very small inlet. Also when we woke up in the morning the whole boat smelled strongly of sewer gas. No compensation was given for the sewer smell, only that it would be checked on.

Great and cool place to stay! everything was clean, and the check-in/out was so easy. Parking was available right in front of our unit, which was very convenient. The staff was lovely. Great location in Big Pine to explore the Keys. We loved the peaceful balcony. Highly recommended!

Onsite kayak rental at a good price, close to bridge for fishing, and they sell bait onsite. The bed was significantly too soft for my husband and I. The kitchen was well equipped.

A bit dated but so quiet and relaxing, would definitely do it again!

We loved our stay! Cute, quiet and homey, right on the water. Keep in mind that it’s basically like staying in an RV on the water, but it’s unique and peaceful.

Met our needs. Shower was tiny. Could use some updates. we would stay again.
