It is a great place for birding in addition to the beach

We enjoyed our stay! The staff was pleasant and the entire hotel and grounds were spotless. The on-site restaurant and bar was very good as well. The only negatives I would have is that the sheets pillows and towels could use an upgrade.

The property is beautiful & well kept. We arrived at around 2pm & our room was not ready so we were asked to wait in one of the beachside bungalows. The room was spacious & the beds & pillows were comfortable. A light scent of natural gas lingered in the air after taking a hot shower. Though the garden was lush and groomed, we were mortified at the fact that the garden sprinklers were on from 7am to 7pm, non-stop. What felt like lack of water conservation practices left us with a poor impression of the hotel’s respect for this precious resource. Our experience with the restaurant & kitchen staff was not positive: each time we dined we had to repeatedly ask for water to be brought to our table. From behind the bar the staff gestured the international "what can I do for you" head shuffle, without approaching our table. They behaved with greater interest in maintaining their ongoing conversations than in the business of serving us. Our food was served either too hot or very cold. For our first dinner, we didn’t realize that we clashed with the staff break time until we noticed our server dining on the table next to ours, having a loud phone conversation about her issues dealing with her pigs & farm animals. We're sad to say that the staff was not warm to us. They seemed to be gossiping & mocking us, & that was disheartening. We are happy go lucky seasoned travelers, a mother & a mother and daughter team & this is not a place where we would return to. We considered leaving...

The staff is very, very friendly. They appreciate the client and go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant and warm. The room was clean and a nice size. Overall an excellent place to relax and get some sunshine.

Five lovely days here. What a beach, you can’t find a more beautiful one - so long and with so few people. Spacious room, good food, friendly staff. Only one thing was not satisfying, the weak internet.

The location and scenery are stunning. Not a bad drive to get there. The staff go above and beyond and the food was fantastic.

Gorgeous property - right on the beach, so constant views of the ocean and sound of the surf. Staff was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to go back!

This is a small, modest but comfortable full-service hotel in a spectacularly beautiful location. The restaurant serves very good and varied food, the pool is nice, the rooms are a bit dingy but good enough, and the beach is world class. The staff speaks English and is very friendly and attentive. Book it if you love the Pacific. A very good value.

Rain caused room flood possibly (in bathroom) but overall comfortable necessities, plenty of warm showers, biggest storm I’ve ever experienced, with lightning & thunder. Large comfortable beds too. Kind of off the beaten path. Not crowded-beautiful beach front & grass area. Would recommend 👌

My wife and I enjoy sitting under a palapa with a drink in hand,watching and hearing the surf.

Like a super 8 near the beach. Bland room and restaurant area. The surrounding area was run down. Close to the Pan American highway though

The resort is really a small, somewhat remote and basic hotel with a very serviceable restaurant, an adjacent pool, and cheerful staff. Behind the hotel, it’s lawn leads to the loveliest beach and a perfect sunset. This won’t appeal to the luxury crowd, but for most Las Lajas is sure to spawn warm and vivid memories. Enjoy!
