The location is amazing! Just in the middle of Pest and close to almost all landmarks. If you don’t want to walk it is also 1 min away from transportation options such as subway and bus includes airport bus. The staff was very friendly and was helpful to meet our needs. It was very nice to see smiling faces when coming in or going out in the lobby. In the hostel they have a kitchen with all suppliers if you want to cook and a separated room what has two coffee machines, two microwaves and few chairs with a table to have your food there. They also provide the coffee, sugar etc. If I visit Budapest in the future again, I will not search any other place to stay Absolut’ly ❤️ Thank you Absolut City for making our trip unforgettable.

I personally struggled to get into the building but there’s usually people going in and out so I didn’t wait for too long. The accommodation was in a perfect location! Very close to the shuttle bus stop and is a great place to start wondering around! Inside the hostel was very nice! They can provide you with a lock and key and towels if you require all free of charge! My bed was super comfortable however there was a slight stain on the bedding ( either pen or blood but I’m pretty sure the bedding was washed and it was just a stain so it didn’t bother me at all!) super friendly staff and lovely people looking to have fun! Would definitely come back! The receptionist helped me locate the bus stop and a few other bits, so friendly!

Very nice bed and room. Love the curtains that you can pull in front of your bed. It provided sought after privacy in a hostel. Only negative was the constant noise from outside, such as traffic and sirens going off all the time. As well as the room being very hot. Also my linen had spots of blood that they clearly hadn’t been able to remove in washing.

Probably stupid to stay in a shared dorm during the pandemic and one of my unmasked roommates in the 6 bed dorm was coughing up a storm all night. It doesn’t help that management doesn’t enforce mask mandates. But the location is prime, the rate is low, and it is kept clean. Receptionists here have the usual tendency to disappear so bring your own towel. But the place is clean, centrally located, and well priced.

In overall it was good, But a little bit noisy..our room was at a noisy side of the pub under our building..so at night there were noises from there and hardly to sleep..especially that we stayed there on weekends nights..the room was also pretty dirty..

The reception is constantly empty, and signs are confusing, very hard to find and enter the hostel.

Pros: Clean room w/ private bath. Great location, easy 15 min walk to the Danube. Airport Bus 100E and Deàk Ferenc metro station is less than 1 block away. Cons: Room is right above a busy street with heavy foot traffic. Very loud when windows are open. Much better with windows closed and AC on. STAFF: the 2 guys that work in the morning are quite friendly and helpful. The lady that works the late afternoon shift until close (9pm) was quite rude to me and 3 of my roommates; she does not smile or greet when you arrive/come up to the front desk to ask a question. I asked her to to turn on the AC in our room and she looked at me and didn't say a word or acknowledge me. I walked away to fill my water bottle in the kitchen (directly I'm front of the front desk) and went back to my room. She then comes into our room with a rude tone of voice asking why didn't I get the remote at the front desk (as if it had been too much trouble for her to come to our room). I said, I didn't even know there would be a remote, I thought it was a switch you had to turn on at the front desk. So I told her in front of my roommates "you know, you are being rude, you never greet any of us, you never smile, and your tone of voice is always angry" she said "you can file a complaint or write a bad review, I don't care!" She also told my roommate "this is not a 5 star hotel!". People like her need to find a job outside of the hospitality business, very sad! Because of this, I would not return.

Great location right outside is Deák Ferenc Tér Fashion St, Budapest Eye and a couple of Xmas markets. 10 Minutes and you are on the riverfront, 2 minutes from the Grand Synagogue, and about 15 minutes walking to Parliament. Simon was great with communication as I thought I was going to be late on check in, but we kept in touch and I ended up making it on time, so there was no problems. They gladly recommended places to eat and see. From the hostel, I walked the entire time, but there is great public transportation locations nearby. My furthest walk was to the City Park and thermal baths there which took about 40 minutes. My only 2 complaints was the mattress was dirty, it is Ikea and could easily be unzipped and washed, if they know there is a couple of unused beds they could wash a couple a day and then have a much cleaner mattress. There was also no hand soap in any of the sinks which not a hue deal but after using the toilet you would like to wash hands properly. I just bought baby wipes and solved the problem myself. Wifi was also a little spotty. Overall, I would stay here again due to the location and very inexpensive price, especially since the Ritz Carlton is right across the street.

I've stayed one night only while changing flights - the location was perfect for me as it's located at Deak Ferenc Ter station where both metro and buses from the airport stop; everything was pretty much as expected - the only thing that bothered a bit was a heavy traffic and noise

The highlight of the hostel is its location & availability of a direct bus 100E to the airport for a mere 3 Euros. Also the shopping district is at 5 mins walking distance from the hostel. The accommodation is basic & needless to say, ideal for backpackers. However, the twin-bed room is not very comfortable - bunk beds with no place to sit in the room. Moreover due to non provision of an air conditioner in the room, the windows have to be left open for fresh air. As there are several bars on the street, decibel levels are very high until 2-3 am. Sleeping is difficult.
