Tinahely is off the beaten path for tourists unless you plan to do some hiking while in Ireland. Many and varied trails are close by. I wanted a comfortable place to do some writing for my last to days in-country, and Murphy's was perfect. The local people were friendly and helpful everywhere I went. Highly recommended if you want a place to unwind.

I booked myself and the wife into Murphy’s hotel for a night to get a break away from the grind of family life. It looked nice in pictures but I was not sure about it tbh. But when we got there I was so happy with the experience. The staff were very friendly the hotel is so clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, really enjoyed ourselves. Excellent service, we are going to go back and stay again for longer next time.

Nice cosy place to sleep and eat after 5 days walking the Wicklow Way from Dublin. Direct return to Dublin Airport by Express bus from Arklow the next day .

Nice place. Fantastic breakfast and dining options. Lovely atmosphere. Fantastic staff! Young ladies worked like Trojans but always managed to keep on smiling.
This is really a 4.5 experience rather than just 4. Only let down was the small bed (double) with most accommodation offering at least Queen size. We found it difficult for a good night's sleep as a result. This may not bother some, however. Despite this would definitely recommend.
Tip: If you eat the full Irish you won't need to make arrangements for lunch 😊

For a triple room it was small.. The heat in the room and lack of ventilation meant none of us got any sleep at all. The breakfast service could be improved . The menu picture verses the real deal was different. Overall it was ok.They really need air conditioning in a room of that size.

Stayed at this hotel whilst enjoying my daughters wedding reception at Ballybeg house . The service was very friendly and the food was excellent. Situated in a small village with 3 to 4 pubs a couple of restaurants and takeaway.There a hairdressers, pharmacy and convenience store.

Stayed here 2 nights to attend a wedding held locally. Checked in at around 9.00pm, drive from Dublin airport was around an hour and a half but be aware that the latter part of the journey is through dark country roads, which may be a problem for some if journeying at night time. Smoothe check in and out, breakfast is cooked to order and we found it delicious. A very warm, friendly and personable service from the staff there made our stay all the more pleasurable.
