Excellent on all Levels, Great and Beautiful place. Excellent food as well, ama,ing chef and very quiet location. My one and only complain which is very minor is that i was charged $3.00 (us) for a very, very, very small cup of coffee and it was even half full!!! I thought it was absurd. But over all experience was Excellent. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Good: The premises were very nice and clean and the staff very friendly. Not good: The breakfast was not very comprehensive and the air con in one of our two rooms did not work properly. We asked for an appropriate refund but only got 10 $ off the bill, which is a joke for two out of three nights with no decent air conditioning. Also, the water in the mini bar is far too expensive! Last not leat we were not happy with the transfer. As we had booked one of the two rooms for a whole week, we were told, there would be a pick-up from the airport included. Well, we got a lift but we had to pay 35 $ for it and were then told by the hotel that a free pick-up does not apply when the booking is via Expedia and not directly!

We stayed for 7 days. It was fantastic. Everybody was friendly, helpful and at any time strives to support you in every situation and make your stay a pleasant one. I highly recommend!

This hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff are so lovely and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay in a special place with genuine staff. We stayed here with a toddler and it was great could he could play in the courtyard as we were on the ground floor suite. We were even able to rent a stroller which meant one less thing to travel with. The food was also really good. We loved our stay here and would go back again!

Absolutely loved this privately owned hotel! The staff was super friendly and recommended places to eat and stuff to do. It was the main reason why I booked this spot. They were easy to get ahold of, made sure we had a ride to and from the airport and anything we did! Definitely would stay here again.

My partner and I traveled together to Cuba for three clear days. The experience was truly amazing! The staff at El Candid is so efficient and helpful! Their suggestions for the best vacation experience were excellent from the restaurants to the tours. All our needs were met and exceeded all our expectations! The staff planned a classic car tour for us for my birthday! We had such a thoughtful and knowledgeable driver who ensured that we had a good time. They also surprised me on the morning and evening of my birthday ☺️☺️. Thanks guys! The rooms and surrounding areas are clean, the staff (every single person) very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was consistent each morning, the taxi drivers were friendly and on time. We’d recommend this hotel to everyone!

The staff at the reception, especially Janetxy and Rosabel go out of their way to make you comfortable and provide any help they can. They helped me quite a lot with restaurant suggestions, taxis, guides etc. and thus my stay at Havana was most pleasurable. I would recommend El Candil quite highly to anyone visiting Havana.

We stayed here on our trip to Havana and the staff literally planned everything for us. They ensured every cultural outing and event was the best and that we were immersed in the local culture. They gave the best recommendations and secured all of our transportation. Put all our worries to ease. I have never found better concierges anywhere ever!

We had a great time at El Candil! It's in the nice residential area of Vedado so it was quiet at night and in the mornings when we wanted to sleep in. Our room was super clean each day, but I'd say that the best part was our concierges. Yanetxy, Guimar and Rosabel arranged for us to go to the best shows and restaurants and made sure that we had taxis to everywhere we wanted to go. They scheduled us for for in room massages and anything on the menu we wanted to could be delivered to our room, not to mention the vintage car tour and the day trip to Varadero. It was personalized service at its best! Hands down, we'll be here the next time we're in Havana! We have friends for life now!

We stayed here right after we visited the valley and this was a great place to relax before we headed back to the airport. We were able to have an amazing dinner and enjoy a nice cocktail on the roof. The room was very comfortable with an amazing bed. We even had a masseuse come to our room and give us massages.

Best customers service ever.

El Candil was an amazing hotel (casa particulates). The concierges were incredible and made excellent recommendations to find us everything we wanted. Rosabel even helped us find a local charity to connect with and translated for us. So kind. Out of all the hotels we saw in Cuba, this was the best and we would always stay here when returning.

OMG! I would say this hotel is a 20/10! Yanetxy, Yamar and the entire staff were so kind, sweet, and patient. They literally sat me down and help me organize everything for my trip no matter what time of the day or night they were there. The food and everything was great and they put up decorations for my birthday! I’ve been all over the world and I have never had hospitality like this! The rooms and the hotel was so clean and beautiful. When I come back, I will stay here everytime! Thank you all so much for everything and making my birthday so memorable! Besos!

My partner and I had an amazing time! The staff was friendly, accommodating, helpful and supportive. They helped me plan & set up a private surprise bday dinner for my partner, as well as provided amazing food recommendations, made reservations, coordinated excursions, set up transportation etc. The hotel also has an outstanding security team. With the hotel having about 6 rooms, it has a very familial type of feel. The hotel is clean, beautiful and the roof top is fantastic. Staff are able to converse in English and Spanish (possibly more languages). This will be my go-to hotel when I return to Cuba.
