We had a wonderful stay! Clare and Craig are super sweet and knowledgeable; they gave us many great local recommendations and even maps. The breakfast was fantastic, and the room was lovely and roomy. We only stayed two nights, and we would have loved to stay longer. We definitely hope to come back and stay again.

Great stay, great location, great hosts, will definitely stay again

Lovely place to stay. Wish we'd had the en suite with shower as the bath with hand held shower was tricky for us. Bed was a little furm but comfy. Food was fabulous and Craig and Claire were lovely friendly hosts. All in all a good place to stay.

Amazing place to stay! Kind and caring owners. We got a flat tyre on our way and was running late and they were so helpful and accommodating! Even offered to come out and help us! The place is beautiful and perfect! Couldn’t recommend more :-) definitely book here!! It’s so close to everything in the area and so much better than going to a hotel!

Clair and Craig are superb hosts - from their warm welcome to their indepth local knowledge and friendly atmosphere, as well as being able to check in with them as added precaution when out walking the fells, they were absolutely superb. My room was small, but it was the single room and I knew this on booking, so not an issue as only using the room as a base to walk from! There is a big lounge area (with licenced bar in evening) that I could use if I wanted more space when staying there. I would highly recommend Dalegarth House and look forward to future visits!

Craig and Clair are super nice people and perfect hosts. The house is almost squeaky clean and the breakfasts superb. My only issue was the lack of a proper shower but that’s probably my fault for not reading the room description properly.

The house itself was lovely as was the food and cleanliness!! However, I did not get to choose the room I wanted on booking and also found the car parking to be inadequate for the number of people staying. Poor layout meaning people had to keep moving cars. Even when asked to move my car (and doing so obligingly) I was then asked if I could move up about a couple of inches, move back slightly (was rediculous). I was messed about so much that my car ended up rolling due to a slight dip and smashed into the wall. Needless to say it turned out to be an incredibly stressful and expensive two days away, now with the inconvenience of having to get my car fixed and pay out on insurance!!!! Deserve a free weekend in my opinion!!!

This s one of the nicest places we have stayed . Claire and Craig Dalton are doing an excellent job of running this hotel and many establishments could learn from them . Everything was perfect and i can only recommend this place .

Really enjoyed our stay at Dalegarth House, we stayed two nights, room was spacious and clean, breakfast was amazing both days! Owners very friendly, could ask them anything. Would highly recommend staying here

Highly recommend this place, amazing location with fantastic views of the mountains and easy to get anywhere in Keswick by walking. The place was very clean, room was large and very comfortable, breakfast was beautiful (very good poached eggs). The hosts were very pleasant and extremely helpful with activity planning, lots of personal touches such as umbrellas in the hall and walking sticks along with a drying room for your clothes and boots. Looking forward to our next visit.

Stayed a couple of nights for anniversary. An excellent location for a break. Great views of the lake. Wonderful hosts that made you feel very welcome and very helpful in planning your itinerary. Would highly recommend.
