Nice hotel, overall. Carpet in room needs thorough vacuuming. Bar and grill onsite is convenient. Breakfast options decent. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Parking is free which is always appreciated. Biggest negative is the very loud train that runs through town. Windows need to be insulated.

I'm forced to type something in this box to say that the property is good, as expected. It's a well managed and maintained hotel.

Loved this place! The restaurant/bar was on the river and was a very pleasant bonus. Our room was on the “city view” side, which means busy street and railroad. The window had a really pretty shade that looked like a tree, but it wasn’t sound-proof.

Parking lot was very small. Beds were not as nice as I expected for a Marriott which sucks. Also the toilet paper holder was very annoying. Other than that really clean place and friendly staff.

The hotel is beautiful, inside and out. The staff is courteous and the restaurant has delicious food and drinks. The outdoor patio makes meals on site even more enjoyable. It’s located on the river, and close to the downtown, so getting around on foot or car is easy.

As expected. It was very good, clean, comfortable and staff were nice. Just not luxurious. Had great Mexican food from Coco’s nearby. Would stay again. Recommend.

The hotel was clean and very spacious. The parking garage with direct access to the hotel by elevator was terrific. The pool is small. Our air conditioner made an annoying chirping noise.

The river was pretty. I liked the bar and that there was food available. The room was very nice and it was clean. The hotel was super quiet as well. I liked the covered parking. The only ding I would say was the smell the parking area had because of the all rain we’ve had I’m sure.

Spent five nights at this property for my 50th college reunion. Love the convenience and roominess of the walk-in shower. Enjoyed sleeping in a very comfortable bed with great pillows. The pool was very nice place to relax and unwind. The variety of breakfast items was appreciated for a multi-day stay. Front desk staff could be more personable. The property is located in a great town with two liberal arts colleges.

We had to wait to check as no one was at the front desk. We rang the bell twice. The individual smelled heavily of cigarette of smoke when he finally arrived at the desk to check us in.

Very clean, loved the the underground parking. Only problem I had was the tv would not turn off, it would only go to a gray screen and that was annoying. Also it would not switch to the HDMI it as like the remote to the tv only half of the function worked.

We enjoyed our stay from the room to the restaurant (including beautiful deck overlooking river) and indoor pool. All had pleasant decor and was clean. (Except for in shower needed some bleach on some black mold on edges/caulk—but not bad). The beds have comfortable white bedding.
The front desk gentleman who checked us in was very kind and helpful with a professional manner.

Perfect place to stay with access to Carleton College and Northfield. Comfortable beds, great location in the Cannon River. Hope to use the hot tub next time!

With Archer House gone, the Fairfield is probably the best bet in Northfield. Front desk staff is lovely and helpful, but our sheets had a big stain on it... that's a little off purring.
