This is a beautiful traditional Mexican property. Our room was large, super clean and very comfortable! There was a fridge and microwave in the room but the owner, Virgilio, allowed us to use the very large and fully equipped central kitchen and the outdoor bbq. The pool and garden area were lovely with comfortable chaise lounges. I can’t comment on the surrounding area because we hardly left during out 2 day stay. A highlight was the amazing breakfast served by Virgilio’s very friendly staff. I highly recommend this B&B.

We had a lovely stay in Casa Virgilios. The room was clean and comfortable. It was in a quiet location and relatively near restaurants and shops- if you are okay to walk. Though i think there may be busses. We enjoyed the swimmng pool and hot tub.A complementary hot breakfast is served. Unfortunately, we thought we were getting a full kitchen in our room. That was not the case. There is a microwave and fridge with very few plates or utensils. No coffee maker, toaster, or hotplate. No shampoo or conditioner given. I reread the ad and it was clearly my mistake as these werent offered. There is a central kitchen that we could use but we prefer having a working kitchen in our unit. Otherwise, the place is lovely .

Not what I was expecting, it feels more like a cheap hostal than a hotel. The kitchen was just outside of my room and there was a lot of noise all morning. I stayed there to rests after a long trip, you can't really sleep in with all the noise. During the night was okay. It was nice that the tv had several streaming services already setup, but the internet connection keep failing so trying to enjoy a movie at night can be challenging. If you are looking for a more personalised treatment and meeting other guests this might be good for you, if you just want to rest and keep to yourself this might be a little uncomfortable, special since we had to walk though the kitchen to get to our room.

It feels like a little oasis, and the architecture and decor is lovely. Comfortable beds, and REALLY good complete breakfast. Virgilio's sister Zoe was visiting and she'd make Cuban coffee. The hot tub and pool are lovely, and the beach is walking distance (though not as beautiful as the one in Vallarta proper). The nearby restaurants are great too — try La Dolce Vita (which is also a landmark to name if your taxi gets lost) and the seafood place right on the beach. I came for a solitary, quiet, chill moment so it was perfect — for the set who want the action, this is a bit further from the downtown area where you would want — the cab is about $30~ USD / $500 MXN one way.

We enjoyed our stay and had a comfortable room and gardens and pool were very nice. Great breakfast!

This quaint little B&B is decorated beautifully in authentic Mexican decor. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was scrambled eggs, beans, salsa, papaya and cantaloupe, coffee, milk, and toast. The pool was ver refreshing after a very hot day. The host is very accommodating and easy to visit with but not hovering. It was a nice, peaceful place to stay one night after a week at a busy nearby resort.

Our stay was perfect! It was so nice and cozy. I loved the pool and the A/C in the room worked really well.

We had such an amazing stay! The property was beautiful beyond believe. It was quiet and comfortable. Everywhere you looked there was something to mesmerize over. The room had AC and a small kitchen with a fridge which was very convenient. The service was nice and the daily breakfast was something we looked forward every morning. Honestly if you are looking for something comfortable, quiet and traditional then this is where you should stay! Any time I go back to Vallarta this will be the place ill be going.

What an unbelievable place! I hope this review does not get 'edited' or removed... because I am going to give you a spoiler. First, this was a fantastic stay, albeit entirely too short. Three nights and we could have stayed a week, or a month! In fact the place is currently for sale by owner, Mr. Virgilio himself, and I wish he came with the property. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the service from staff are all without equal. The artwork on the walls, hand painted murals & Mexican tilework in the bathrooms in common areas are exquisite. I think my favorite part was, without a doubt, the local wildlife we encountered. THIS little spot, is a jungle in suburbia. Iguanas regularly in the yard and trees, exotic birds, and turtles in the pond (who actually had a clutch of eggs hatch while we were there!), red sally-lightfoot crabs feeding on the shoreline algae, and in the channels are adult crocodiles, swimming & sunning themselves on the shore and on the boat docks! Magnificent wonders! It is a nature lover's paradise. If I had to make mention of an area needing improvement, it would be the grounds-keeping. There is SO much growth (and death) of plants and trees it gets out of control fast. Overall, however, the place exceeded my expectations and deserves the rating they have clearly worked diligently to secure. I highly recommend this place either for a single night, or a short stay. We absolutely loved our time there; you will not be disappointed. 😊

Our week-long stay at Casa Virgilio's was delightful. The room was clean, cozy, and bright with gorgeous Mexican decor. The grounds were lovely and well maintained as were the pool and hot tub. Not having access to a car was no problem as a beautiful beach was a 10" walk away. I cannot wait to return to Casa Virgilio's in the near future and would highly recommend it to anyone considering spending time in this area of PV.
