Large room. Large bathroom. Noisy pub and road but quietened down eventually. Cleaning substandard. Parking on side street.

Great for thebprize with everything you need, including microwave and dining table.

You get what you pay for. The apartment itself, while small, is great for the price. It was clean and appeared to be somewhat newly renovated. Parking is fairly easy to access and is free. It is unusual (at least for me) to have to check in and out at a pub, but everyone was friendly. Major drawback is that you can hear noise and feel vibrations from the pub (directly beneath you), particularly music, until it closes (which was about midnight the weekend night we were there). The area is nothing to be excited about--some dining options, but nothing great--though it is right by a train station that can get you into downtown Glasgow in about a half hour.

The staff was wonderful and welcoming! They were so kind and welcoming, and made our trip feel special. They gave us recommendations of things to do and see, and gave us directions on how to get there. Absolutely wonderful, and I would love to stay there again.

Location above a bit of a rough looking pub but room was clean, great shower and excellent value for money. Also only 5 minutes walk to train station to get into Glasgow.

Price was reasonable, landlady was pleasant and helpful but would not recommend for friends or family. This is mainly because of the location. We didn’t feel safe to go out and explore. We are a well traveled couple, so take from this what you wish.

Located above pub entry door smashing shut until late at night. Clean and simple. Edge of wooden floor dangerous above carpet. Bleeding cut in foot. Credit card terminal out of order had to pay cash, never received receipt. Walk to station not very convenient. Would not book again

This is a great place! They were having a celebration for the Coronation when we arrived and it looked like a lot of fun. We were too tired to come down, but we would have otherwise! The room was clean and everything we needed for our last night in Scotland. The pizza shop and Stacks across the street have really good food, and the Asda is a short walk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff in the pub downstairs were so friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere in the pub. The room was clean and warm and had everything we needed. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely comfortable room, huge tv and really comfy bed, very clean and in a great location near lots of shops, bars and takeaways, staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic little hotel, it is situated a 2 minute walk from Asda and a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. Rooms are above a pub but we heard no noise from there. The lady who welcomed us was lovely and told us about all the places to eat around the hotel. Parking behind the hotel is limited but we just parked on the street which was no bother. The stairs up to the rooms are quite steep and outside so you don’t have to trail through the pub to get to them. Room had everything that you needed, including a microwave which was a lovely surprise. Only a couple of little things that weren’t ideal. The blind on our room didn’t work very well and it sounded like the window was still open even when closed, which didn’t bother us too much but if you are a light sleeper it might. The road does get quieter at night but the traffic lights do start early in the morning. All in all a fantastic stay and we have both agreed we willing be staying again if we are near Glasgow.

Door did not lock, bed was terrible, no sign of any 'tavern', dangerous 'fire-escape' style entrance. They charged three nights in advance; I left after one.

The room was clean with a nice en suite with a variety of towels. The shower was easy to use. There were adjustable radiators in both bedroom and en suite and the window over the main road could be opened if desired. The blackout blind over the window was helpful too. Lots of conveniently placed plug sockets. Checking in and out was done at the bar downstairs. There was no disturbance from the bar or from the main road when the window was closed. No WiFi, but there were a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable and it was a convenient location for an excellent price.

Great place for an overnight stay on our way up North. Very friendly helpful people and the room had everything you needed, and was clean and fresh. The bar downstairs is a great place and the locals very welcoming.
