Room was cleaner than rooms I’ve stayed in at places that are much more expensive. Yes, it is an older property with carpet stains and few amenities. But it was quiet and clean, near the uptown area, and management is pleasant and always helpful. I would stay here again.

Affordable Suites is a great choice for a long-term stay. The manager takes care of guests. Quiet, safe, close to grocery and some restaurants. Uptown Shelby is close by.

Outstanding little place to stay!! Ms. Denise is an incredibly warm and friendly manager!! Very sweet lady!! No dishes or cookware, which was my only disappointment. You download an app to pay for laundry. (Currently $3) Still, it was better equipped than most m/hotels I've stayed in. I appreciated the full size stove, full size fridge/freezer, the central air and the furniture. And, oooooooh THE WATER PRESSURE!! Shower is a bit cramped, but that water felt SOOOOOO good!! There's a spacious closet in the bedroom, 2 TVs, and a back door in the bedroom that you can leave open for fresh air!! Shelby is a sweet little town and an absolute pleasure!! 40 minutes to CLT. 12 miles to the SC border!! The Suite is available for long term stays. It is a unique and valuable upgrade from traditional m/hotels!! I would absolutely stay here again!! There's demonstrated integrity in their quality and their name.

This is not a 5 star property so don’t expect a hot breakfast, pool, or spa but…. The property is well kept, quiet, the rooms are very clean, and Denise (the manager) will go out of her way to accommodate you, including loaning you a skillet, egg turner, coffee mug, and paper plates so that you can fix breakfast in your room.

Affordable Suites of Shelby, NC is my favorite place to stay in Shelby! Always clean, comfortable, peaceful and quiet. This is the 2nd time I've stayed and won't be the last. Also the prices are unbeatable! Thank you Denise for your hospitality and kindness!

Quiet, clean, safe, close to restaurants, grocery and a Walmart. Laundry on site. Full size fridge, real kitchen sink, 4 burner range with oven. Dining table with 2 chairs. Bring your own cookware and dishes. It’s perfect for longer stays when eating in is preferred.

Denise made everything easy. Very clean, quiet. Good location.

Staff there is awesome

We just needed a room for the night after a visit in Charlotte and we were very happy with our accommodations. The value was excellent. Denise went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Denise, the manager, is awesome… she make you feel welcome and at home….if there is a problem trust me she will fix it…..if you need a place like home …. This is it…..

Travel nurse, my 2 main things that i look for are clean and safe, at a reasonable price, this property is perfect. I also work nights, and have no issues at all sleeping here during the day, always quiet! The manager is absolutely the greatest, so sweet and always available. When other travelers at my facility ask where I'm staying, i don't hesitate to tell them Affordable Suites! I return every other week and will anytime I'm working here!

We had a one-night stay here. This is a clean, spacious and comfortable property. We arrived late, so we arranged a no-contact check-in, which we appreciated. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. No breakfast, but it was easy to find well-rated breakfast places nearby.

Wonderful property for a longer visit. There are many people who I believe live here full time but it's very clean and quiet. The property manager is very hands on and the housekeeper is excellent. Very nice and communicative and friendly. If I am ever in this area, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Walmart within walking distance as well as an Aldi. Very clean apartment.

Only disadvantage was the unstoppable and noisy air condition...

It was quite and clean but definitely in need of refurbishment especially carpets and furniture.

The suite is perfect for extended stays. You have full refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker. There is a sitting room/kitchen/dining area. Down the hall is bathroom with tub/shower with good water pressure and lots of hot water. The bedroom is in the back away from parking area. It has nice sized closet, dresser. Our unit had queen size bed. We have family in the area,but like to have our own space to go to when we want to just be by ourselves. We are older couple and have different schedules from other family members. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They treat you like family. Lover our stay and will definitely stay again next time we visit family in NC.
