It was inexpensive and the suite was large. That's the only pros. Site and room were dirty. Very old appliances with rust spots all over them. No smoking but all the full time residents sit in chairs on the walkway smoking so it doesn't mean much. I stayed here because of the price and good reviews. All I can figure is the full time residents must flood with good reviews. I'll never stay there again.

I had the opportunity to stay with Denise and her staff for 13 weeks. Everyone was friendly, eager to offer anything that would make my stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are well kept, the staff is friendly, the area is well lighted and monitored. I was greeted every week by my first name and sent off each week with well wishes for a safe return. Thank you to Denise, CJ and all her staff for making my time with you all feel like I was welcomed and safe. I would and have recommended you all to anyone who asks where I have stayed while in Shelby, NC. Thank you again.

This was our second stay at Affordable Suites in Shelby and we have truly enjoyed both stays. The manager, Denise, is a very kind and professional person. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The hotel is quiet and relaxing. There’s many restaurants nearby and grocery stores are a very short drive. Thank you, Denise.

Room was cleaner than rooms I’ve stayed in at places that are much more expensive. Yes, it is an older property with carpet stains and few amenities. But it was quiet and clean, near the uptown area, and management is pleasant and always helpful. I would stay here again.

Affordable Suites is a great choice for a long-term stay. The manager takes care of guests. Quiet, safe, close to grocery and some restaurants. Uptown Shelby is close by.

I appreciated the full size stove, full size fridge/freezer, the central air and the furniture. And, oooooooh THE WATER PRESSURE!! Shower is a bit cramped, but that water felt SOOOOOO good!! There's a spacious closet in the bedroom, 2 TVs, and a back door in the bedroom that you can leave open for fresh air!!
Shelby is a sweet little town and an absolute pleasure!! 40 minutes to CLT. 12 miles to the SC border!! The Suite is available for long term stays. It is a unique and valuable upgrade from traditional m/hotels!! I would absolutely stay here again!! There's demonstrated integrity in their quality and their name.

This is not a 5 star property so don’t expect a hot breakfast, pool, or spa but…. The property is well kept, quiet, the rooms are very clean, and Denise (the manager) will go out of her way to accommodate you, including loaning you a skillet, egg turner, coffee mug, and paper plates so that you can fix breakfast in your room.

Affordable Suites of Shelby, NC is my favorite place to stay in Shelby! Always clean, comfortable, peaceful and quiet. This is the 2nd time I've stayed and won't be the last. Also the prices are unbeatable! Thank you Denise for your hospitality and kindness!

Quiet, clean, safe, close to restaurants, grocery and a Walmart. Laundry on site. Full size fridge, real kitchen sink, 4 burner range with oven. Dining table with 2 chairs.
Bring your own cookware and dishes.
It’s perfect for longer stays when eating in is preferred.

We just needed a room for the night after a visit in Charlotte and we were very happy with our accommodations. The value was excellent. Denise went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We will definitely be staying here again.
