No pool while advertising the pool!!!!

The hotel’s signs were confusing. The facility needs update.

Quick stay friendly staff nice location and stay

Room was okay didn’t get the rain shower head? Pool and hot tub was closed not sure why.

The dresser and night stand had stains in the drawers that looked gross. The swimming pool was out of order (which was very upsetting). Getting outdated and it shows.

We didn’t even spend the night ended up leaving and going to another hotel. Tv was broken, bugs in the bed, sheets didn’t look as if they had even been changed, floor hadn’t been vacuumed, door to room broken and more.

Front desk woman was very efficient.

The bed was super hard. You could feel the springs from the mattress. The parking lot and outside area has a bunch of weeds and trash. There was also a bug under one of the pillows and splatters of black on the wall in the bathroom and the bedroom area.

First off, this hotel was pretty misleading - the name made me think it was a locally-owned, independent hotel. It's a Super 8. So when we pulled in and saw that we were already a bit annoyed. Check-in was smooth, until we got into our room. There were bugs (living and dead) all over the place, and there were crumbs and dirt all over the bed linens. My friend and I are generally not the type of people to care or say something, but we knew we couldn't sleep in that bed. We went back to the front desk and asked for new linens, but they didn't have any other staff, so they just switched us to a new room. Very happy they did, as that room did not have the cleanliness and bug issues that the first one did! We had originally planned to use the pool, but once we saw the first room we knew there was no way we'd be going in there. Breakfast was mediocre - a pretty basic continental breakfast. I was also disappointed by the lack of ice maker - they have a freezer in the lobby where you can use the ice dispenser, but it was out of ice most of the times we tried to use it. The positives: staff were polite, AC/room temp worked great, shower had good water pressure, and the beds were decently comfortable. I will not be staying there again, but it is probably a decent option for a solo traveler just staying one night.

Cheap and needs an upgrade

We came to enjoy a couple of days in the area. My daughter was super excited about the pool. However, you couldn't even see the bottom for how dirty and murky. The room, was okay, but my bedspread and skirt had some white ooze on it. Will not stay here again. I am normally not one to say anything but I dont want anyone to have what we had.

The pressure washer… I mean shower, kind of hurt and I found myself myself wishing they would use it on the black stuff on the ceiling. The beds were nice and comfy and the kids enjoyed themselves

On arrival the property seems run down, the check in was good, friendly staff. The hallway to the room smells like urine but entering the room we were pleasantly surprised, very nice, clean and has a comfortable bed.

Blood stains on the carpet and blood drops on the bathroom floor and walls. Not extremely bad but not really appropriate for a motel room either.

Everything was good besides the bed. The bed was so horrible. I havent slept in a bed that bad ever in my life!!

They close every couple hours and you can’t ever get help they close at 10 and don’t answer the phone number they give for after hours

Nice and quiet. Only issue is the first night the battery in the smoke detector was dying and when I went to the front desk the gal handed me batteries so I could change it. It was 11:30pm but still.

I liked the location, the pricing, the staff, breakfast, and the pool. The hotel is really old, everything is stained and old, including the furniture, carpet, and the walls. It's not a 5* hotel, but it does work. If you go in understanding that, then it's a great stay. The staff are great. The pool was fun.

The room was not very clean at all. Property outdated and in need of a lot of TLC.

First of all, it is called Horizon but it is branded super 8. So when you arrive at night and it is completely dark there's nothing lit up that says horizon. We went past it twice before we figured out that it was one in the same . When I booked the room it was because of the few amenities that it offered. One of which was a deep soaking tub another would be the rainfall shower head. And the premium cable channels, were ALL non-existent, in fact they didn't even have cable. We had Digital television nothing more. I was looking forward to relaxing after a full day and watch my shows but... The bed was so hard that my back was hurting the entire time we were there and I just could not sleep on the bed any longer so I ended up in the desk chair. Then there was no deep soaking tub nor any rainfall shower head. It advertises a full breakfast which is anything but. They have waffles for you to make and pastries. Not much else. Also coffee pot in the room but there was no coffee.

The staff were friendly and hospitable. But there were a few electrical issues. No motor for the hot tub bubbles and the waffle iron was not able to operate correctly.

Likes: Fairy professional front desk staff. Limited staff was expected. Main floor access.Fairly nice sized room. Basic amenities were available. Dislikes: Ice machine out-of- order. Signs of dust and non vacuuming throughout hotel. We chose to spot clean our room. Opted not to use the dirty shower. Beds were stiff and needed new bedding. IF you prefer firm pillows, we recommend bringing your own.

Staff did not know basic info like cost of laundry, how to run thw hot tub or where to eat in the area. The breakfast bar looked like someone had gone to the local Costco and opened up value packs. Upon arriving home I discovered they had charged my card for the full price of the booking in addition to paying through hotels.com. When i called to get the issue corrected, they stated they would get to it in a few days and seemed shocked that I wanted them to call me when they had reversed the charges.

when we showed up at 8:30 PM the room was not ready and we had to wait an extra hour for them to clean the room - and the whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke not the best customer service

Unlikely that we would stay here ever again, it used to be a Super 8 and the sign outside shows that.

There was only one person working. She was great but one person is not enough to run a hotel. We had to wait and then eventually make two separate phone calls to get someone to the desk so we could check in, then wait some more after check in because even though we arrived hours past check in time, our room was not yet cleaned from the previous guest. There were not enough bedding or towels in our room for the number of people staying and we had a difficult time finding the one lady to get more towels and bedding. The hot tub was full but not working. (no sign posted that it was out of order) There were no towels in the pool area either. If you don't mind waiting a long time for things, then this place was fine. The beds were comfortable and we were able to control the temperature in the room. Also there weren't a lot of people at the pool so we did enjoy some time there just our family. It was ok. I would stay there again but only if there were no other options in the area. I liked the lady and everything but clearly they need more help.

Great place to stay. Good value. Family friendly. Pool noodles and toys for kids. Check in ice cream is a nice treat.

I didn't care for the garbage that was building up by the rear entrance. It accumulated the 4 days I was there.
