The best place to stay in St. Andrews! Amazing atmosphere that was topped by an incredible staff.

Great stay. One block from old course. Good food great location kind people. Great breakfast. Perfect for staying to your St Andrews it to play old course.

Very disappointed with the room we were given. Beds were comfortable enough and clean but basic cheap furnishings. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mould. Will not be returning

The Dunvegan is a legend. Check in and out if with the bartenders. The room was spacious. The people were amazing. The bar is one of the best I’ve ever been to anywhere. If you’re in town to play golf, you have to stay here. Cheers

It was such a great stay. The entire staff could not have been genuinely nicer, especially Mark . The room was perfect for our needs. The restaurant was packed but we still felt like we were treated like the only ones in the place . I will stay there on my next visit to St. Andrews without hesitation. Salute to the Dunvegan ! Vito

First the good, very clean and location was great. All the staff were every friendly. The decor was a bit tired but it was ok. Breakfast wasn't great choice wise. Describing something as the full monty which only has egg, sausage, bacon and hash brown isn't a full monty. We are in Scotland, where's the haggis, black pudding, beans and tatties scone? It's very themed to Americans which is fine but surely people are visiting for a taste of Scotland? The shower was great but don't use it at night as it kicks off a couple of hours of pipe noise. Lastly the TV could only get BBC channels and not much else. For over 200 quid a night it felt very much more like a pub with rooms and even then it wasn't great. I know St Andrews has a premium price tag sometimes but this really wasn't worth much more than £100 a night let alone more than £200.

Had another amazing stay at the dunvegan would definitely recommend…. Only downside was the TV in the room wasn’t working properly but hopefully that will be resolved

The room was so nice. Location was excellent for golf and the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Loved the friendliness of the staff and being able to walk everywhere. Having a bar to meet friends was fabulous! Such a fun and welcoming staff!

Great location for to see all St. Andrews Andrew’s to offer. We were fortunate that, our room had a problem, so on arrival we were put into a three bedroom suite across the street. What a treat! My only complaint would be a slight stale beer smell in the bar, but the staff was engaging and excellent, and the breakfast always also great.

Room was fine and good location but VERY noisy. Room was above pub and beer garden so no chance of an early night. Even throughout the night there was lots of activity (doors slamming, furniture being moved etc) so got very little sleep. Staff were friendly and accommodation was fine (although very pricy due to location) but unfortunately wont be returning.

Atmosphere was pleasing. Not having a chance to sit down for dinner was frustrating.

i had a great stay in the hotel , bar staff we're excellent , i was late for breakfast and they fitted me in with no problems , will definitely stay again

Excellent large room, good food and great service.

Wonderful hotel, great pub, friendly and helpful staff, a long put from the golf course. Would recommend it to anyone interested in St Andrews town or courses.

Good friendly service. Accommodation good, beds very comfy. A self and somewhere to put your toothbrush by the sink would have been handy plus a toiler brush :)

Not a hotel as such more a restaurant & bar with rooms. The twin room we had was immaculately clean & the Dyson fan was a great touch. Shower room was very clean. I felt £200 a night was overpriced for the accommodation but tough times for hoteliers.
