Good location in town. Right behind the main street, so no noise, but convenient. Mountain views all around. Great service from ALL staff.
1.5
Nice hotel, severely overpriced for what it actually is. This is a 3 star hotel pretending it is a 5 star hotel. All of the staff however are wonderful and the service was excellent which almost made up for the uncomfortable bed and lumpy pillows.

I asked for a receipt from the reception who told me they would email and I have yet to receive it two weeks later. Impossible to get hold of the reception afterwards.

Great location, good size room and good shower. Could have better lighting in the room, found room dark

Hotel is absolutely gorgeous again my only issue when we stayed in the suite was the cleanliness of the shower

They charge you a $35 a night resort fee which is not disclosed when you book the hotel through hotels.com. I called the front desk and there is fine print at the bottom of your receipt after you have already booked that says they are allowed to charge this fee. Dishonest.

Ok, someone needs to call this out. There is NO parking at the property. Valet is $40! (Your car isn’t even located at the property so you have to wait for the valet to bring your car offsite.) If you don’t valet, you have to park a block or 2 down in residential. This was just a huge deal for me. There are also stairs to get into the property to carry your luggage up. It’s just not convenient for long stays or if you have a lot of luggage. Pool is also small and underwhelming. Only 3 small couches surrounding the pool.
Pros: I do want to mention the service was amazing! Everyone is really nice. They offer a complimentary happy hour with wine for a few hours. The room was spacious.

We stayed on a Sunday night and the hotel did not seem busy. However, they put us in a 3rd floor room right next to the elevators with a view of the A/C unit on a part of the roof. The room had a partial wall separating an area with a Peloton bike (?). Because of the wall, there were only small windows offering very little light and no view. They also charge $40/night for parking in Bozeman, MT.

Beautiful hotel, loved the rooftop pool.

Poor customer service at check-in. Front desk lady did not greet us and was very standoffish. Also very odd showers as they have no doors. Only a shower curtain. Water got all over the floor. What a mess! Whoever designed the showers for this hotel needs to be fired. No way this is considered a "high end" hotel. Most Hampton Inns or Hiltons are significantly better.

The Kimpton Brand reputation was what brought us to this hotel, even though it’s the most expensive hotel in Bozeman. Rooms were very nice and clean. We rolled into town for our one night stay after 8 pm and no restaurants were open after 9 pm so we had to go offsite for a 9 pm reso which was almost impossible to find in Bozeman. It wasn’t even dark yet!!!

I was disappointed with the housekeeping like not vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom with product, but redeemed yourselves with finding my jewelry and Louis wallet!

Pool was misadvertised -- not available at stated times. Staff did not resolve problems. TV was terrible. All food service stopped at 9 pm.

Fantastic location and views from the roof bar and pool. Great water pressure and coffee machine, ample charging station options and mini bar. Cozy lounge.

I recently stayed here and was extremely disappointed with my experience. For the most expensive hotel in Bozeman, Montana, I expected top-notch service and accommodations, but what I encountered was far from acceptable.
Firstly, upon arriving in our room, we discovered a blanket on the bed that had blood stains on it. This is an unacceptable biohazard and a clear indication of poor housekeeping standards. Blood-stained linens pose serious health risks as they can carry pathogens that may lead to infections. While the staff did replace the blanket and bedding when we brought it to their attention, this incident left us feeling incredibly uncomfortable and concerned about the overall cleanliness of the room.
Additionally, our check-in experience was frustrating. Although the check-in time was stated as 3:00 PM, we did not receive our room until 4:45 PM. The manager claimed to have texted us when the room was ready but we never received any such notification. After a long day of travel, having to wait nearly two hours past the designated check-in time was highly inconvenient and unacceptable.
Overall, this experience was a major letdown. For a hotel that charges premium prices, I expected much better standards of cleanliness and service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and worry-free stay in Bozeman.

Excellent hotel and experience, only slight negative was a noisy AC unit at night. Great location and would stay again.

I reached out to the property prior to posting, as I hoped for a better resolution than "whoops" as we spent extra to stay at this property because of the amenities. Below is the email I sent and response: Thank you for reaching out. I wanted to express our frustration with our recent stay, particularly since we chose the most expensive hotel in Bozeman primarily for its amenities. While we understand that unexpected issues can arise, we were misled by your receptionist, who assured us the issue would be resolved by the weekend. When I visited the restaurant/bar, it was clear that the extensive work required couldn't possibly be completed within 48 hours of our arrival.
We called the hotel multiple times beforehand to ensure our stay would be comfortable and to maximize our enjoyment of the property. Given the amount we spent, my friend and I are disappointed that we missed out on the full experience we were expecting.
And in response, I received:
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman.
Unfortunately, our emergency maintenance on our pool uncovered some additional work that needed to be done. This was unexpected on our end.
Please know that your feedback is extremely valuable to us.
My expectation was a partial refund or crediting of additional points to my account. This response screams, shrug we don't care from this business.

Liked the overall location and hotel vibe. The pool wasnt available throughout entire stay. 3 nights 4 days. Parking challenging or expensive if chose valet
3.0
Not really a 5-star hotel. Perhaps the best Bozeman has to offer but hardly comparable to 5-star hotels we have stayed at within the US and internationally. Bed was fine (King) but the room was on the small size, and the bathroom facilities were very average. Three-star hotels in Japan have better bathrooms. Pool was closed. Check-in staff efficient. Not clear why designated with this rating. So not worth the price they charge.

Have stayed in Bozeman several times and Kimpton was a splurge this visit. Pool closed (one feature that prompted this booking), light fixture in bathroom not working, glasses and toilet paper not replaced, carpet outside room needed vacuuming. Room on the small side. For such a high price for a room, these details make a difference. That said, staff friendly and courteous, rooftop bar very nice, and generally a cool hotel, but we will not be staying there in future. Will go back to my regular hotel with a much better price, value and attention to detail.

Was good. Not great.

Dirty room, had to request for room change

This was an average stay. Room itself and bed was comfortable but views were exaggerated. Pool wasn’t functional. One elevator was broken. Rooftop bar wasn’t impressive and the food was embarrassingly bad. The charcuterie “board” was on a small plate with 5 slices of one meat and 4 small strips of one cheese with some jam and mustard and grocery store pickles. I’m ordinarily not fussy but at 650 bucks with no parking and no breakfast, I expect perfection. Montana people are nice and friendly so that was the saving grace.
