Needs small renovation like the carpets there is a smell I think it’s from the old carpets and painting. But other than that clean and a good stay.

Our room was clean and nice. The hallways had an odd smell but not overpowering. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We would stay here again for sure.

We had the best time. The Grand Shores West is the best beach front hotel within miles!! Sun, sunsets, sand, pool and hot tub - plus sand bar every day = THE BEST. Thank you GSW!

Let’s start with ROACHES. Not A roach, roaches. The parking situation is either fighting for a spot on property or across the road in a pothole filled gravel area or 1/4 of a mile down the other direction. And they do not offer any type of shuttle service.
Place is dated and they did try to update with paint and new bathroom sink and toilet. That is about it. Patio door took a bodybuilder’s strength to open and close. The walls are PAPER thin and you can hear people in every room around and above you. Every step, yell, baby cry and kids that run up and down the hallway.
No offering of a snack bar or food of any kind. Only lobby coffee. If you want anything you have to go across the street to other locations. Not even a snack vending machine.
The property has a nice pool, wonderful beach location and access to water sport items & beach chairs. The only thing that didn’t make us demand a refund and leave.
Staff was friendly. I wouldn’t stay here again but, if you are on a budget and unfazed by the above, the price is reasonable.

Our room was spacious; however, the good ends there. The room was not clean, was in need of repair in the bathroom and it reeked of mildew/mold smell. We contacted the front desk to ask for a different room due to being allergic to mold and was advised there were no other rooms available. They did bring in a little machine that cleaned the air while we had to be out of the room but the smell was back within an hour of the machine being gone. The staff was amazing, the location is perfect and the beach chairs are a great bonus, but I will not be staying here again.

I checked in and the young man at the desk was absolutely and totally rude. We could not even get ice and he was just rude. I was advised about additional charges once I arrived. The bathroom was not very clean, not enough toilet paper, tub kinda filthy. I thought it was very noisy at all hours of the night, children running and yelling in the hours all hours of the night. Whoever was above us was banging and moving furniture at all hours of the night. When we checked out, the woman at the front desk was wonderful.

The staff are amazing and it's a little outdated but clean and very fairly priced. My only complaint is you hear every step from the room above you, anyone talking in other rooms and hallways. I got absolutely no sleep during my stay.

The room had a kitchen sticked with plates, etc. and was literally a few steps away from the beach. We relaxed in the cabanas and watched the sun set. If you are wanting to get away as a couple, please know you will be sharing the pool and hot tub with a lot of kids.
This is a quaint Mom and Pop resort. Parking is limited, so you might be parking across the street if you leave to go out in the evening. The studio bathroom was small and a little rusty. However, the friendly staff and beach access made it a great stay.

The parking situation is bad. They also need a ramp for disabled. The staff was great especially Jesse. Our room was awesome with a balcony overlooking the pool and the beach. It needed a full length mirror. We would stay there again in the future and bring more people.

Everything was good and this resort. The only issue was the parking. They have a small parking lot therefore you would have to park about a block and a half and walk back to the resort.

It was ok. It's no luxury property. So set your expectations accordingly. The bad parts are that Housekeeping does not come at all during your stay. They only clean the room after you checkout. Parking is a NIGHTMARE. There are VERY FEW parking spaces on the property (maybe 10 total) and the other parking lots are several blocks away so be prepared to walk. Also it's a time share and the kids can be pretty obnoxious because none of their parents watch them. They let them do whatever they want, and cause a lot of trouble. On the positive side, Sean, the water activity guy is nice. He handles the free rentals of the paddle boards, kayaks and a small sailboat that seats 3 people. The free cabanas and beach towels were nice too. The property is pretty quiet at night and in the day time it's a family friendly party type of atmosphere. Overall we had fun. I would consider staying here again.

The couch bed and bed pillows are very uncomfortable. Our room was facing another part of the building so we had no view of anything but the building. The glass doors do not open up all the way and there is no balcony since the glass sliding doors are blocked with wood railing. Customer service is great. I don't plan on staying here again unless I have a room with a balcony and maybe an extra pad for the couch bed and my own pillows to sleep on.

Only bad thing bout this property is parking. Comfortable room fully equipped so you can cook in your room. If you’re bringing a lot into hotel parking can be a burden. Outside grills great location beach cabana pool. Would recommend

Although the parking situation is very bad the rest made up for it. I would recommend getting there early to get a decent parking spot. It was very close to the beach and had a great pool with hot tub 😎. Not bad for the price.

Really bad room stuck in the corner, terrible view of the smoking area and piled up discarded patio furniture, the door to the outside at the end of the hall just outside my room is unsecured and just outside that door is 4 big dumpsters. Was exhausted from the trip plopped onto the couch to be meet by the smell of urine! Get ride of the couch and reserve this room for employees and free guests!

Our check-in process was smooth. The room was spacious and it had a full kitchen. The property is directly on the beach, which was amazing. The room charge includes the use of cabanas, kayaks a sailboat, pool and beach rafts, etc. The staff is extremely helpful, informative and friendly. It is affordable and close to Clearwater, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island and St. Pete. We have been looking for a place like this and are so happy to have found it. There is limited parking in the front, a small lot around back and they have a larger lot across the street, which is a very short walk but safe, as there is a crosswalk that all of the drivers abide by. There are places to walk to if you want to dine out but the full kitchen in the room allows you to eat in if you like. The pool is clean and the guests were all respectful about the one car per room rule, which is awesome. We will be back!

Staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean. It was great to be able to walk right onto the beach. The cabanas & lounge chairs were a nice amenity. The room had been completely updated, giving it a modern look in an older structured building. Parking is very minimal. If there isn't a parking spot in the immediate front by the entrance to the building, which has less than 20 spots, you have to park 2 blocks away. Fortunately, we found a spot with the assistance of the lady checking us in. However, we didn't use our vehicle during our overnight stay because we didn’t want to lose the parking spot. We found a close restaurant, so we walked to dinner.

We had an issue with our room the day we arrived and the staff was very helpful in resolving the issue. We could see that our satisfaction was very important to them. The only thing that I did not like was the parking situation but I understand there is not much they could do with such a densely populated area. We will be back for sure, thank you Grand Shores West!

Nice place to stay. It’s an older beach property and needs some updating, but good for the most part. Beach access is very nice and staff were super friendly.

We took a trip to visit family and rented a standard studio at Grand Shores West for 5 nights. The photos of the studio were very accurate- I was pleased with the authenticity. The room had a BEAUTIFUL ocean view! It was very convenient having a kitchenette so we didn't have to leave just to eat breakfast. Each room has its own heating/AC unit, which made the late-January stay very comfortable. The hotel is close to many restaurants & bars, and of course, the beach! Being RIGHT on the beach is a definite perk. Though it was difficult to get a parking spot at the hotel itself, they allow use of a lot across the street that is easy to access. The street is safe to cross and the area is walkable. The entire Grand Shores West staff was incredibly friendly, and very pleasant to work with. I would definitely come back!

Laurie at the front desk was really friendly and looked after us well. The studio was clean and had just been updated with new appliances and bathroom fixtures. There were 3 of us and the person on the pullout couch was not very comfortable but the room is great for 2 people. It is a cozy little hotel right on the beach. Couldnt ask for more.

Very quiet and cooking utensils, very suitable for leisure and vacation, beautiful white sand beach, and various BBQ and hot spring swimming pools, which have been here for the second time.

The location of this place is absolutely amazing. The room itself was OK at best. I don't want to take away from the amazing staff that was very friendly. The room had a very old mattress and it was not clean upon arrival. The pool and hot tub were very nice and clean as well. Next to the beach so it's hard to complain about anything else.

North Redington Beach is an amazing area and Grand Shores West is a great place to stay! House keeping and front desk are great! Wonderful amenities especially for the price. Would definitely stay here again!
