This apartment is in a great location - walking distance to Tivoli Gardens and several metro/train stations. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the kitchen was adequate for our needs, 3 bedrooms gave us all the space we needed. Having a washer/dryer on the same floor was nice, however one of the two dryers was out of order, so it was a bit of a race to do laundry some evenings. There was quite a bit of street noise, but we were able to drown it out with the fan and our white noise machines. Except for Saturday night (our first night), when it was insanely loud at 1:30am…it sounded like someone was dragging garbage bins into the courtyard below and the noise lasted for 15-20 min. Otherwise the city noise didn’t bother us. The management company was extremely responsive and very helpful.

We were a family of 4, with two smaller kids. The placement was close to both train and walking distance to central cph and comford of having an hotel apparment was very nice. Everything worked nicely and communication and service was good and relevant. They helped with parking and we cheked in our bags though the cleaner was not done yet, No problems there. I'm sure we will return one day and use the same company.

Stayed three nights and we had everything we needed here. Netto, supermarket was within 5 min walk and you can buy food/drinks to make your stay more enjoyable. All communication was done via email and no issues. There are multiple doors to go through to enter the place and all requires security code. However, we found the procedures to be trouble free and easy. It was actually better since I didn’t have to carry keys or entry cards when entering/exiting. Now a couple of things that we noticed while we stayed: 1. Since the place was located near main roads and a business district, it isn’t the most quiet place around. It didn’t bother us much, but you will hear ambient noise during the day and gets better at night (except police/ambulance sirens going by) 2. We had 4 pillows total and all were felt tall for us. It would be better if pillows had different thickness (so we can mix and match to find out ideal neck height) At any rate, we enjoyed the stay and would visit again.

It was very good because we were travelling with young children. And we could walk to many places of interest.

We loved staying here! We had everything we needed and plenty of space. The apartment was very clean and the pull out couch was very comfortable! Any question we had was easily answered by the guide provided by Into This Place. Location was also Central/walkable.

The location was great, and it felt very quiet and safe. Communication for checkin etc was excellent. Only small issues were there were a few dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived, and the blackout shades didn't quite cover the window.

Stayed here for 5 nights. The apartment was clean and spacious. 2 large bathrooms, one with 2 sinks and 1 shower, the other with 1 sink and 2 showers - go figure! There is 1 bedroom with a door while the second bed is in an alcove off the sitting room. Both beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet as the apartment is off a side street with hardly any traffic. We walked everywhere, as it's pretty centrally located. It's a 10 minute walk from a metro station on the way to or from the airport, and the sidewalks with their cobblestones are not suitcase friendly! But with patience, you can do it. Communication was great, with a site that has all the info you'll need. I would highly recommend this place of you don't the 2nd 'bedroom' layout.

Great accommodation at great location. Well appointed apartment, close enough to main attractions and main transportation hub, while far enough to be away from crowds and congestion.

The apartment is very nice. It is well furnished with beds and sofa beds of excellent quality. Lines and pillows were also good quality and different kinds are provided. So no matter if you like a fluffy or a thin pillow, you will probably get one that suits you. The kitchen is also well furnished. Fridge is small, but it is not those micro fridges, they can fit stuff for more than a week trip. Kitchen utensils were also of very good quality. I just missed an oven because I have kids and we usually do kids food that requires oven like pizza for example. My only concern is the dish washer as it doesn't have a quick wash cycle, so even for small amount of dishes it takes more than two hours running. Not good for the environment. Nothing that affects a traveller life though. :) The street is quiet, there isn't many commerce around and one must walk at least 5 minutes to find something. But it is still good location. Bus stop nearby, train station 5 minutes walking and metro station a bit further but still walking distance. One plus for those coming by train, it is close to Copenhagen Central Station. I definitely recommend By the Lakes apartments and definitely will check it out again on my next trip to Copenhagen.

This is a great, well maintained room that has a kitchen, table, and comfortable sofa bed. As shown in the pictures, there isn't a door between the sleeping area and the living area, so it is basically a very large studio apartment. Getting in and out is very easy, and the in-building laundry was very convenient.

Nice apartment within walking distance of many Copenhagen attractions and metro line. Lots of space for our family to spread out. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. Nice place to spend last night of our trip when we were all tired and wanted a comfortable place to relax.

Quiet and with windows that opened for fresh air

This is a great place to stay. It's clean, quiet, very thoughtfully decorated and had everything we needed. It was very walkable to the old city and we had no problem orientating ourselves. There were grocery stores within a 10 minute walk as well. The elevator is a bit of an adventure, but not in a scary way. We got stuck once but trust me, Hotel management has clear instructions how to navigate it, and if you follow them you'll be fine. It was our first experience with not checking in through a front desk, but it was painless and easy. Management responded to my emails without delay, and the whole experience was transparent and stress free. One thing I would recommend is that you not use the baggage storage app that the hotel offers and store your luggage at the central train station which is at most a 15 minute walk away. The reason I'm saying this is that the app won't tell you where the storage places are located until after you've booked, and you waste a lot of time trying to locate one. Also, the storage place that we booked asked us to pay for luggage insurance on top of the storage fee - which made us question how secure it was in the first place. Save yourself time and grief by renting a locker. We came off a cruise very early in the morning, took a cab to the station, checked our bags and walked from there. It was a great experience in a wonderfully beautiful city, and I look forward to my next stay. Thanks!

Minimal amenities, but super clean, safe, quiet, comfortable

We booked a ‘1 bedroom swanky apartment.’ Pros: convenient location; clean; comfortable bed; relatively quiet for location Cons: NOT ‘swanky’, more like ‘low rent’ with sparse Ikea-grade furnishings; king bed jammed into the bedroom with little room to get in or out; flimsy coat hangers; no chest of drawers; small bathroom; no shower surround - if you take a shower you will get the entire bathroom wet; no toilet paper holder; no towel rods to hang wet towels - since there was no place to dry them, we threw our towels on the floor and used both sets provided; kitchen provides bare minimums; 45 minutes after we arrived the dishwasher popped open - lo and behold, it was full of dishes, having just completed its cycle - so we empited out the dishwasher and put away dishes, not something I expect to do while on holiday; poor state of repair - light bulb missing from one of the living room fixtures; no blind in the dining area - appeared the blind had fallen out; apartment on the 5th floor and the materials provided advise not to use the elevator as it is unreliable - be prepared to tote your luggage up and down five flights; we used the elevator once and can report it is unreliable - it refused to let us out after reaching our floor and we had to follow a set of ‘emergency instructions’ to free ourselves; Bottom line: we cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay again.

The property is conveniently located in walking distance from downtown. The only thing I suggest is the map from the closest railroad station to the apartment. We are the tourist from US and mob. Phones did not work. It was a bit confusing to realize that the apartment in 3 min. Walking distance, but you don’t know which way to walk.

Nice, spacious and inviting apartment in fantastic location considering the size. Hallway, elevator etc. Very old and not up to the standards of the apartment, but makes you appreciate the feel of the place itself even more. Warning, the extractor hood in the kitchen did not work, and the stove is very powerful, so leave the windows open if you are cooking anything which could set off a firealarm. We had a visit from the firedepartment after cooking some spices, which set off the alarms in the whole building, and as it is a hotel building the firealarms can only be turned off by the fire department if they go off. Quite an experience.. Overall a very nice stay though. Can echo the comments from others about the soft beds.. would be great to have those changed. But would still go there again.
