We had a reservation for a king room. We arrived at the hotel to find out they had over booked. We were placed in a queen room that was dirty. The room had been previously occupied and not cleaned. We turned down the bed to find it had been slept in and had hair in the bed. We checked the other bed. It was neat and made. I called the front desk and spoke to Chris. We told her about the bed and the trash in the floor. She apologized

What I was not notified about beforehand was the $100 non-refundable pet fee when I booked through Expedia! Had I known that I wouldn’t have booked this hotel, but when you’re already there for an event that has everything booked solid what other option did I have? Don’t appreciate just throwing away $100.

Very clean and good amenities

Really enjoyed our stay but was surprised and annoyed that there wasn't an area to sit and have a smoke. Also, surprised that the two trash receptacles, one under the porte-cochere, the other as you enter the hotel, were old and rusted. Out of place.

Beautiful properity. It was convenient to local attractions/shops/resturants. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast wasn't the best.

When checking in we noticed our first room the bathroom was covered in mold and smelled. They transfered us to another room and only compensated us for our parking. The problem is why isn’t housekeeping seeing these issues prior to a guest seeing it. It’s a pain to unload four people in one room then have to pick up and go to a different floor and different room at 9pm while not getting the balcony room we requested and paid for prior. Other then the room issue the stay was not horrible.

An Easy Walk to the beach and surrounding dining areas. For the price it was very wonderful stay. It was clean and friendly and accommodating. Probs the best hotel I’ve stayed in for the money I paid for it!

Nice parking & secure

Great hotel. Beachy feel, clean, nice pool, and short walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly and helped recommend a great restaurant for dinner.

Excellent location by the beach, half block away

Poor water pressure in shower and no safety bar for seniors.. No storage for clothes for an exttended stay. Room smelled bad. No room on balcony unless you sit in front of air conditioner where it got hot.

Loved the cleanliness. Parking can be included with the booking

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was clean, big, convenient. The pool was great, the room was spacious, clean, smelled good, and seemed recently updated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is close to beach, fort clinch, and food options. Pet friendly! It was everything our family of 4 and a pup needed and more!

This hotel was clean and very comfortable. The only thing I did it like was all the babies in diapers. I feel is not hygienic. Bar by the pool has good 😊 food

This review comes from our experience, not a one time event, as we have stayed here since the bldg opened. To begin with the security was lacking as the parking gates were left open and the exit doors were zipped tied open;thus allowing the locals to park for free as we had to pay $15 a night. And, for the first time, the locals were allowed to and encouraged to visit the poolside bar and to eat there....we understand the need to generate business, but not to the detriment of the paying customers Not to mention there were dogs everywhere(we're dog lovers), but for them to be by the pool, in the eating areas, and smelling up the elevators---bad idea. The hotel used to be and smell clean, but this time the mop water smelled like "wet dog", the walls needed cleaning or repainting, the shower in our room had mold growing in it and there was dog sh#t in the parking lot & on the sidewalk, not to mention the grounds outside smelled of it. It's too bad that the current management is going to let a formerly great respite turn into a dog-smelling, nasty place overrun with locals who get to park free and hog the pool and generally make a mess of things. The one plus was the food staff monitored their area, they were efficient and extremely friendly and eager to help. Our hope is that the managers will read this review and then correct the mistakes that have turned a quality facility into a doggy daycare with non-paying customers overrun the place

Great place to stay but the breakfast wasn’t on point

Enjoyed amenities and had a great time! Only negative was the bathroom shower which had no shelf/seat/foot rest for leg shaving, etc. and no vent fan. Otherwise great!

Plenty of parking. Easy to get to beach and other things to do.

Fernandina Beach is one of my favorite places in all of Florida and the Springhill Suites there is a fantastic property from which to enjoy the locale!

Loved the property and staff! The room was spacious and clean. The pool area was large and never felt too crowded. The staff made check in easy and were very helpful.

Great beach vacation spot but maybe a little too family friendly - tons of noisy kids in pool, hallways, room overhead.

I enjoyed the area and there is plenty of things in walking distance. My only dislike was with the cleanliness of the room. When we got there the room had dog food and popcorn on the floor and the room in general smelled like a dog shelter.

I was awakened at 4 am by a Palmetto bug that crawled over my arm. There were two of those bugs in the room and I packed my things up, went to the lobby and the desk clerk put me in another room. I know this is Florida but I would not have expected these bugs on the 3rd floor.
