Rooms clean, but thin walls allows sounds from other rooms and downstairs to migrate into your room, attractive garden area, breakfast room turns into Indian restaurant at night then back to breakfast room in morning, electronic numerical keypad bedroom door locks a nice addition,

We were very positively surprised by this hotel.
Didn´t expect much, but the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was super.
The rooms were clean and checkin and checkout was easy.
We will definately come back if we ever come back to Middlesbrough.

It was ok for a quick nap before night shift. Couldn’t face a van nap and no shower so well worth the convenience. I’ve stayed in better hotels for a similar price. But Middlesbrough is very limited. Room very basic shower took ages to get hot, but for a budget place I wouldn’t say it’s the worst I’ve used. The photos on the profile are clearly the better rooms or dressed for the photoshoot.

Trying to contact the hotel was near impossible. When i managed to get through to advise of an emergency and to see if they would move the dates as it was out of our control they were not empathetic of compassionate at all and it was just a blunt NO. I will not book with this hotel chain again.

Hotel was an automatic reception and room doors that was not what I’m used to. Room was sparse which white walls with no pictures that looked like a prison cell.
No wardrobes only a put together frame to hang your clothes on coat hangers (not very pleasant. The bathroom could do wit upgrading (toilet holder falling off the wall) bad grouting around shower tray!

The staff were friendly, but the hotel is now with Oyo which it doesn't state in Hotels.com.
The breakfast was not great, but just about adequate if your really hungry. My son passed it up completely. The room was clean, but a bit tired, and the shower was warm.

We found the Baltimore a really friendly and exceptionally clean hotel for our stay. The staff were always available and ready to solve any queries we had , We would definitely use it again next time we visit this area

Check-in was completed via WhatsApp, and I was given my door code. Luckily, someone was around outside when I arrived close to midnight, because he was able to tell me the door code had changed...
I couldn't give a full five stars for service etc, because beyond that I hardly saw anyone other than the waitress at breakfast. Also, the room didn't have a bin! But it was well stocked with tea, coffee, wash minis, etc, and the breakfast had all the staples – unless, like me, you're vegetarian, and would appreciate a little more than just beans, hard-boiled eggs, and fried mushrooms, tomatoes, and bread...
The room itself was comfy for the price range, though, and the building relatively quiet.

Nightmare Hotel. Noisy men in hotel late at night. Complained at midnight, 1.30am and still noisy at 3.30 am. Promised a refund face to face at the reception desk and now they deny this to you. Run by amateurs and a dodgy atmosphere at night. 6 men hanging around at 3.30 am !! that's not right

Had mosquitoes so carry fly spray

Nice hotel, clean and the staff were really nice. Night staff opened the main door and welcomed you in throughout the night.
The room was very small but was comfortable for the two nights we stayed.
Breakfast is included and was good choice of cereal, fruit and full cooked breakfast.
The only down sides were that a double room only offered one bath towel for 2 people to have showers and no toilet roll in the bathroom. We had to find someone to get toilet roll and another towel.

Waste of time and money! there was stains on the bed sheets bathroom was unclean, there was men hanging around the corridors that made me feel uneasy so our little romantic night away was ruined we stayed in the room for a matter of 10 mins and left, I will say the man on reception was nice and offered us another room but my partner also didn't want me to feel unsafe so we booked a travel lodge and stayed there. Felt more like a hostel than a hotel

toilet ring broken I have to beg for clean towels and shampoo terrible noises till 3 a.m breakfast time not even tissues or paper towel to wipe your mouth ,food incomplete the first day not fresh fruits not even fruit salad the room smell really bad I have to ask twice for toilet paper not the staff fault I believe the don't like to spend money on basics to be honest you pay less to stay at travelodge or premier inn not good value for money in any area really bad i will never come back or recomended.

This was a business trip. Wanted somewhere a short distance from the middle of town, which it was. The hotel was, therefore, well situated. Importantly, staff were police and professional. The hotel was clean and the room that I had been allocated was tidy. Good value for money. Would recommend. Also, had a decent breakfast.

Room was shabby and incredibly cold. Put the heater on and went out for a couple of hours, came back and still freezing due to a draft from the window. Complained and got moved to another room. Have it over 2 hours to warm up and still freezing cold. The toilet seats in both room were not attached to the toilets, most of the tiles cracked - just over all a tired and shabby building that needs a total revamp. And suitable sized heaters. The heaters were tiny.

I'm not one to write negative reviews. However i believe it's necessary to forewarn others.
The hotel is dirty, the room we were allocated had a faulty electric box, doors hanging off the wardrobe. It was dusty, smelt of weed.
The receptionist follows you to your room, that was after taking my ID and a £50 cash deposit, this wasnt advertised.
It was uncomfortable and unsafe.
No surprise then, that we didn't stay. I left the property within 5 minutes. Never to return again.
The rude, argumentative staff member refused to refund us, despite this we left, booked elsewhere and are out of pocket. 100% the right decision to leave. And we remained polite, despite their argumentative demeanour.
We were told we wouldn't get the breakfast we had paid for, thry said it wasn't included. I had the booking details showing breakfast.
It's worth paying more for somewhere inhabitable.

This is my second stay at Baltimore hotel. Great central location, very clean and very friendly polite staff. A bit minimalistic but staff are happy to provide anything required on request. On a main road but feels quiet. Parking and breakfast were included , overall great value for money.

Very happy with our stay. Our room was very clean and had plenty of space. Shower was great and the added extras were there. i forgot shower gel but the was already shower gel already provided.
I noticed a strong smell of cigarettes upstairs which is a no no for me, Fire hazard!
Another negative was breakfast, I've never experienced hard boiled eggs to go with a full English. There was no toast and the bacon wasn't normal back bacon.

Dirty, rundown, broken door handles, smoke detector hanging off the roof, shower was filthy, tiles on the floor broken, Sheets dirty.

I cannot recommend this place the bathroom was falling to bits the bath had mould you could smell the unclean smell, actually felt like asking for bleach to clean the place myself.
Milk was off when at breakfast made my daughter feel sick.
They said they under new management and will give a discount on next stay but once put off I won’t go back. Health and safety issues all over.
Past the front desk is horrible.

I couldnt believe have lovely the facilities were for such a cheap price. AND they threw in breakfast, ok the breakfast was pretty average, no crossants and eggs only one way, but overall a bargain

Overall it was okay, walk distance to the centre, friendly staff I am afraid to say the room very small and nowhere to hang your clothes no wardrobe or closet I was told to hang on the door. That says it all.

We stayed for a business trip for 2 days, room wasn’t as big as we thought it would be but it did the job. The staff were very friendly, we had our toddler with us and they were very accommodating and friendly if we needed anything they would meet our needs straight away. Breakfast was fully halal and delicious, staff kept bringing us food out upon request as there wasn’t much out and they made it fresh. Overall a great experience and we will definitely book again
