My BFF and I traveled down to Turkey Bay to do a bit of off road riding and wanted something in a quite area. This house was just the ticket. It was easy to find and the owners replied quickly to our questions. It was very clean inside and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. I did have a bit of trouble in the driveway but I am new to backing a trailer and I am sure someone with more experience would have no issue. We would recommend to others and enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time. Felt like it was a good proximity to the activities that we had planned. The deck was a great spot to come back to after a day on the water and have a couple of drinks and burgers. Beds nice and comfortable. And the spilt unit was nice and ccool.The kids also enjoyed the board games provided.

We stayed at this property for four nights at the beginning of July. I was nervous about booking it because we are from Chicago and have no knowledge of this area. Boy, did I make a great decision!! They call this property a cottage but my husband and I saw it more like a small house with striking blue siding and modern wraparound porch and sturdy staircase. It sits atop a hill and we spent hours looking out from our porch perch with coffee in hand or a drink at the end of a fun day. We could truly decompress because it was so peaceful with little to no traffic. It's perfect for two but not sure about 3 or more because I have no experience with that. It's fairly close to the main road through Cadiz but you don't feel isolated, just comfortably alone. We visited all the attractions in the Land Between the Lakes and even found pickle ball courts in Benton! There is WIFI so there were no problems getting in touch with anyone. The property's hosts are great at communicating and have your comfort and safety in mind. We made delicious dinners in the fully stocked kitchen and visited Hancock's Market in Cadiz for all our food (easy drive). We spent hours just listening to birds and you could even see the lake. We didn't make a fire in the fire pit but it's there on the property. Our beds was really comfortable and the whole place was clean and tidy. We HIGHLY recommend this property and wish we had booked more time in the "treehouse."

Really enjoyed my stay at On The Rocks! It was a perfect place to relax after exploring Land Between the Lakes each day. Quiet nature, peaceful. Lots of birds to enjoy from the deck.

The home is very privately located, clean and kitchen is great. Bathroom is not convenient with 2 adult couples having to intrude going through the bedroom. That was not made clear. Another bathroom I would rent again, but recommend more comfortable chairs or a sectional; lamps would be nice overhead lights a little much all the time and toaster would be helpful. Loved the visiting dogs. Few changes it would be perfect.

The property and house are beautiful. The bedding was cotton. The bath towels were hotel quality. Kitchen towels and dishcloth were quality. We cooked breakfast and dinner in home every day. The home was clean. The few areas of improvement would be lighter fluid in order to use the charcoal grill because the charcoal was not self lighting. All outdoor chairs were Adirondack style and not conducive to eating. Indoor seating was very comfortable. Heating/cooling very effective. Kitchen stocked well. Hand & dish soap were quality. Dishwasher worked well. Views from deck beautiful. The tub is elevated and requires stepping up in to. Not difficult for us, but may be for some. Washer/ dryer available. We also had adequate paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher tablets, bedding, towels and toilet paper.

Very homey cottage in a quiet woods just a few steps from Lake Barkley. Well equipped kitchen and bath, very comfortable beds. Delightful deck to enjoy the outdoors. Lots of outdoor activities nearby.

Nice looking property & pretty clean. Beds were pretty comfortable. Plenty of pillows for beds. Driveway is steep with gravel if you have a trailer but it’s very nice to have a place to park the trailer & a turn around (be careful at bottom turning in). Needs a different heating system to heat (& cool in summer, I’m sure) family room & bedrooms. Owner was prompt to answer questions. Good stay!

We booked the weekend to rest. The beds were comfortable. Home has minimal kitchen utensils/dishes buy was sufficient. Planned on grilling - needed to bring your own briquettes. Close vicinity to parks and trails. Beautiful scenery. Enjoyed the time there.

Overall it was nice and clean however, it was very basic with bare minimum amenities. The driveway was a little rough and steep. We did enjoy our stay.

Perfect spot for us while we were hunting at LBL. Everything was easy and clean and simple! Wish we could have stayed longer! Host was super accommodating and helpful and we would love to come back!

There’s is nothing better than waking up, fixing a cup of coffee, and watch the sun come up through the trees off the back porch! You also see a lot of wildlife deer in the evening, sometimes a groundhog in the morning, and a ton of squirrels all day!

My husband and I traveled with another couple and found this wonderful gem in the beautiful area near Land Between the Lakes. There was a slight issue upon arrival which was handled promptly by the property owner -- great response and communication. We would definitely stay there again!

This location was a great retreat for my wife and I in mid-October. The cabin was clean and the location was a bit remote(which is what we wanted). It was close enough for a day trip to Nashville, but we really enjoyed spending some time in the small town of Cadiz (make sure you try the local restaurant!) The owners were easy to communicate but we felt left alone as well. I would assume the area is busier during the summer with all the water recreation opportunities. Great place to stay and would recommend it to anyone. I

We loved our stay! The area is beautiful & the neighborhood was fantastic! The kids loved being able to make a fire in the fire pit each night. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed the solitude! Stars and trees around the property were beautiful. Only downside was WiFi signal was one bar and we never were able to figure out the TV. But on the good side we avoided any news for a couple days!

The cute cottage was nestled in the woods overlooking the lake. Beautiful deck spaces to enjoy made our trip perfect. The cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated. Suzanne was a perfect hostess. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our trip. We had a great time just relaxing by the fire and enjoying the peace. We drove around LBL and visited Pattis 1880s settlement for our anniversary. The cabin was so remote we just really loved it. Had a little issue upon arrival it was immediately addressed and taken care of. We will definitely stay again if we come Back to the area!

Great stay, only recommendation is more seating in the living room area.

We enjoyed our stay here on Lake Barkley for a few nights. The forest views are amazing with lake access across the street. The house is newly updated and clean with many amenities such as a grill, firepit, firewood, wifi and internet TV. The kitchen is spacious and fully stocked with dinnerware, drinkwear and all utensils. Nice coffee maker as well. We found the mattresses to be too soft for us and the step up to and out of the bath/shower requires some caution. There is a very nice deck and plenty of outdoor seating. The main entrance door is a set of 3 windowed patio doors with only a door knob that locks and no deadbolt. Several windows in the main living area are uncovered, but bedrooms have curtains. The house sits high on top of a hill. The driveway is pretty steep as you get closer to the house and more level closer to the road. It was very quiet and peaceful during our stay and the location is a short drive to the state and national park areas.

Great location to the Donaldson boat ramp for fishing Lake Barkley and to visit LBL. Beautiful setting with mature oaks. Extremely clean property. Only wish the bathroom was separate from the one bedroom otherwise 5 stars all the way.
