the hotel was catered for sports enthusiasts such as cyclists swimmers in the months of April and October and a family hotel for the summer months overall stay was decent, food was good with a large variety

Big spacious rooms nice pool and excellent bike garage
Poor facility’s in room, not even a kettle... tv wonky and my friend had an identical room but paid €200 less for the same stay

The location is perfect. Breakfast buffet is amazingly varied and of good quality
Rooms are nice and comfortable
The walls are very thin so we could hear what was happening next door. Bring earplugs if you're are a light sleeper.
4.5
Lovely hotel! Great for families. Loved all the beautiful plants and little extra touches like the giant chess board. There were always enough sun beds. Sandy beach is so close by with such clear water. Each pool offered something different.
5.0
Great facilities and fun family activities. Friendly staff, some of whom are a real asset to the company, esp Elias and the pirate girls!
Mosquitoes! hard to get rid, even with spray

Check out isn't until midday. Rooms were spacious and had everything you need. Staff were helpful. There was plenty of free parking behind the hotel. The adults only pool and lane pool were good added extras (although we did have to convince them to let us use the lane pool). Probably the best hotel gym I've used. Good pool towels incuded
Needs another entrance/exit. The property is so big and going through reception to walk around the where the car was, or to a restaurant was annoying. Added 5-10 mins to any journey. They had a rule that pool towels will be removed if used for sacing a sunbed. This wasn't enforced.

Comfortable rooms.
Great set up for families.

Apartment was excellent, good facilities.
Pool and things to do for kids were great.
Perfect for families (I wouldn't recommend for those without kids).
We were self catering, and found the staff relatively unhelpful at times. My wife asked for buy a coffee at 9am as we hadn't pad for the breakfast buffet - she was refused, much to our confusion.

the location is very good (the best part of playa de muro in my opinion). we specifically booked this hotel with our 2 year old in mind and he loved it, especially the water slides and the play area with bouncing bed and soft play. lots of other children to play with, as well! there’s also +18 swimming pool and plenty of place for adults to chill as well. the space is very well designed and laid out.
the flooring by the swimming pools is extremely slippery and the main stain in this lovely 4 star hotel. it definitely needs replacing asap as it is almost like walking in wet glass, and being a family hotel with lots of kids one can imagine the consequences (we witnessed a few children falling). the pirate disco for the kids is also not the most dynamic (at all) we’ve seen in other hotels.

Everything, staff, food and accomodation were excellent
Entertainment hours for children could have started a bit Earlier. Every night kids show started 9pm which is very late for children in general
5.0
Fantastic hotel, great food, and lots of great and fun activities for kids. Evening mini disco and entertainment program was great. Also very close to the beach which is nice.
3.5
Sports facilities were excellent
Seperate 18+ pool
Staff super friendly
Big comfortable beds
Curtains let in an obscene anount of light, wake up instantly at 7am.
Hallway and walls are extremely noisy, so when people are not quiet with doors you can hear then slam.
Some parts of the resort seem outdated.

Fantastic place for cyclists/triathletes! All the best cycling routes are within reach from here. The facilities are unbelievable, especially the spa area. Our room had a beautiful view, especially during sunset. The buffet was great.
There are so many kids! But understandable as it is a family friendly hotel. We were woken by kids running above us a few mornings, luckily we got up early to cycle anyway. The aircon also didn't switch on as it was a transition between winter and summer I believe? So our little room got quite warm.

Spa: very good spa with a hamam, a sauna and a cold-hot bath. Ideal for recovery afeter training
Training pool (25m)
Bike washing station
Staff was friendly
Building n°1, main entrance view
Housekeeping not every day so do not be surprised when you come back in the evening after a full cycling day...
The food (breakfast and dinner): olala, what a disappointment !!!
I had stayed at the Viva blue in 2018 and if the food had been so poor then, never I would have come back.
So this has undoubtedly changed since.
After 9:15pm, the restaurant is closed and even by 9pm the staff starts packing everything so don't be late...you clearly feel the pressure to make haste.
I am not a vegeterian but I noticed that there was a restricted choice of vegeterian options.
Bedroom: weird pillows, either too thick or too thin. Temperature hard to control with mosquitoes buzzing all night.
Living room: spacious but with an uncomfortable convertible couch
Bathroom: an intense smell of sewers was floating in the air on our first day which vanished quickly after we informed the front desk. I had to "repair" the toilets myself, even if the technical staff would have answered very quickly
Kitchen: very tiny but we had (unfortunately) half board

I loved everything about viva blue, it was spotlessly clean all over. The staff we're lovely and did everything they could to make our holiday special especially the entertainment team. Food was delicious and loads of choice, cocktails on tap and special drinks for the children.
We had a Royal Terrace Apartment, it's meant for 4 people but the were happy to add another bed for our 3rd child and we had plenty of room, we absolutely loved sunbathing up on the huge day bed on our terrace whilst the children enjoyed our private jacuzzi! Fabulous holiday!
I would have loved some better local shops but that's no reflection on the hotel and if you have a car then you don't have to drive far to find some nicer shops.
3.5
Family rooms are really good and the added bonus of a kitchen. Kids loved the splash park, swimming pools and hot tub!! Food was nice both at the breakfast buffet and pool side bar. The soft play area wasa hit as well! Location was nice, close to the beach and some shops nearby.
I must admit, for the money we paid and the overall politeness of the staff, location and facilties on offer we can't moan about anything!
4.5
excellent training pool for swimming, excellent location for cycling & excellent cycling services

Excellent Corona hygiene protocol. Super hard-working, friendly staff. Brilliant kids club and entertainers. Good food, great facilities.
Beds were pretty bad. We complained on the first day but didn't notice a change despite reception saying the bed would be changed. Soundproofing pretty rubbish which meant I couldn't sleep without ear plugs, as our neighbours were super noisy. Not much that can be done about this, other than putting families with older kids together - young kids wake up early and this meant we got woken at 6 every morning by our neighbours downstairs. At least one pool should be heated too. Expensive I know but it ruined the enjoyment for the kids as they could only stay in the water 15 minutes. If the lap pool is heated then the others should be too.
