Beautiful area close to Alto Shilcayu, large room and quiet at night

I liked the scenery. that’s about it this place has going for it.

I didn’t like that it was far from the city. on top of that, whenever I wanted to go into town to grab dinner, I’d have to call this taxi driver the hotel set me up with that charged me 10 soles for 5 mins ride into town. then another 10 to bring me back. so leaving the property cost me 20 soles minimum each time. on top of that, there wasn’t even any water bottles in the room. also, the staff was almost never at the front desk which made it hard to leave because the gate would be locked.

Location was perfect for enjoying a natural setting with monkeys, birds, trail to a lookout point, and heavenly flower scents. Breakfast was very good with fresh juices, fruits, eggs, and breads. The employees are fabulous! They made the stay exceptional. So friendly!

Really nothing. The hotel is a little far from the town, so plan early for a motor taxi if you want dinner or a trip to town. You can also order takeout. There are no restaurants nearby for dinner.

The place is magical and well beyond my expectations. What a nice place to get away from the town and traffic yet be very close to it!!! Very cool animals everywhere and excellent staff, breakfast and wifi!!!

the cabana was awesome- very clean, heated shower, great patio. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. There is a covered area with hammocks. Walking distance to Urku animal preserve. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet, which if you know Tarapoto is almost unheard of. Great views.

Our booking was suddenly cancelled: I've booked the bungalow 3 months in advance. One! day before arrival, they are telling us, that they have no water connection for several days due to some work which is ongoing - that's just poor customer service. My wife and me were really looking forward to visit Tarapoto and especially your place for 4 nights! Next time inform your customers early - especially tourists who are coming from far to visit you!
