Ballater is a great spot for anyone wanting to do some walking in the Cairngroms. Steve and Beth were both great during my visit, offering advice on the area and helping me to where I needed to go. Good view, comfertable bed and a good breakfast to keep me going through the day!

The owners are lovely, wRm, welcoming. Very funny and a font of knowledge. The breakfasts were delicious. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Gorgeous guest house, lovely rooms, most comfortable bed of our entire 1-week holiday! Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, and breakfast was just superb. Rooms were quiet, and I loved the eco-friendly approach - even a recycling bin in the room, and the option of a little flask of milk for your tea, instead of little plastic pots. Lovely views of the hills around and of Ballater. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Views from our huge room, welcoming hosts who will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Lots of extras such as fresh milk and baking. Really good breakfast selection which was delicious and available from half past six! making it ideal for an early start hill walking or cycling.

Great location and wonderful staff. The room was excellent and had an amazing view. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, using lots of local produce. We had a great stay.

Wow, where to start. We had an amazing stay at The Gordon Guest House. Just wonderful. The room was large with a massive bathroom, and the bed was incredibly comfy. It's also so quiet, so a great nights sleep. The breakfast was superb and Beth and Steve have such high attention to detail on everything in the property; they have USB charging ports in the bedroom, lots of lovely snacks, weather forecast for the day laid out, endless maps of places to visit and restaurant options available. Both Beth and Steve are super knowledgeable on the area and provided really interesting and great insight on where to go and what to visit. There is also free parking out the front of the guest house as well. The wifi was also great throughout the property so if you do need to do some work this is possible. The property was very clean, and it's in a great location as well. The property is close to the end of the old railway line, which provides walks and cycle routes, it's next to a number of restaurants and Coop, and it's super quick to get out to Braemar and Balmoral Castle.

Located in the heart of the Ballater, Royal Deeside. Wonderful location to base yourself if exploring the local area. Exceptionally clean and well run establishment. Well appointed rooms. Smart TV, Wi-Fi. en-suite. Steve and Beth are fantastic hosts and make you feel very welcome. Views from bedrooms and breakfast rooms outstanding. Property has plenty of public parking outside.

easy to find, perfect location and we got a parking space right outside. Interior was warm, inviting and spacious. The room was the perfect temperature and had everything we needed.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple nights before our wedding day as a little pre-honeymoon and it truly exceeded our expectations. Steve and Beth are absolutely amazing hosts who go above and beyond at every opportunity. From giving directions to the property, recommending activities every morning during (delicious) breakfast, offering plates and cutlery when we ordered take away, etc.. They even made sure we had their contact info in case we needed anything after we checked out, and gave us a congratulations card for our wedding! We will definitely be back here to celebrate our anniversaries in the future.

Beautiful Home, Beth and Steve were the best Host’s. They were very welcoming and went out of there way for me. our conversations were enjoyable and expressed a stop at the Standing Stines which I found extremely peaceful. I will defininately stay again.

Great hosts! - Really friendly and helpful. We were offered cake on arrival too, which was really appreciated! The breakfast was delicious and the bedroom clean & comfortable, the b&b is in a great location for all the walks nearby as well.
