We loved staying at Dogwoog Dunes! It was very close to the beach, it had a golf cart that could be used if rented with the house, and a pool! It was on a quiet street, but close to so many shops and restaurants! We enjoyed our stay so much and would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing vacation. The house is better than we could have expected. Great location. Walking distance to beach yet on a quite street. We would definitely rent again.

We chose this house because it was pet friendly. It was so much more than that though. Very open and lots of space for family time in living room. Each bedroom had own bath plus a half bath for family that came for Thanksgiving dinner but not staying! Golf cart was an added bonus. The strip of Surfside restaurants were close and fun!

Could not ask for more. The golf cart was a plus and the beach just a short walk away. We had a wonderful time and after beach time soaking up some sun we enjoyed the pool. Ann was quick to respond to any questions. Thank you so much for opening your home to us, we really enjoyed our stay.

The house and pool were located well, however, the cleaning crew and inspector were "asleep at the wheel". The owner quickly stopped by and made arrangements for a rapid cleaning, but that took a couple of hours to complete. We did receive a day's rent refund for our troubles. Would i book with VRBO again? Maybe

Family living area is roomy, plenty of seating.

We totally enjoyed our stay. The home is roomy and comfy. The kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen I have seen. Lots of silverware and utensils. It is close. to the beach. The golf cart is a plus too. We will be back!

Great house for a family wanting to be close to everything you need. We enjoyed our week and the proximity to the beach. The golf cart was a plus! The property owners were great to work with and would definitely book this property again!

We were visiting SC for our april break. Two families and there was plenty of room for all. Bathrooms in each bedroom is a definite plus. Very close to the beach. Two minute walk. Close to restaurants shops and other attractions. Pool was an added benefit, refreshing and perfect size for the kids. Pool cleaning service came while we were there to treat but did not vacuum or net. Anne was a great host and fast communicator. No serious issues that needed to be addressed while we were there. I let Anne know on our departure of minor things that were not an inconvenience at all. Having the golfcart come with the property was a huge help and money saver. Would definitely recommend this gem, would stay again!

We came down for fall bike week and had an amazing time!! Even with the hurricane! The owner is such an amazing host! Ty so much!

Nice property one block from beach in quiet neighborhood.

The home is exactly as described. Pool service came while we were there twice; once to clean and once to test water. The water was clean but I was hoping it would be warmer but that is my personal preference. Pool and backyard gets much sun in the afternoons. We used the golf cart for quick trips to the beach and for fishing. which was very convenient. One block in from the beach which was ideal. Ocean temps in the low 80s. Weather was fantastic during my stay. Close to restaurants, route 17, food stores, etc. Even have a Dairy Queen on the corner. Any concerns were addressed immediately with Ann. She is quite easy to communicate with. Especially loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom.

The house was great, location fantastic

The property was a great fit for us but did not appear to have been vacuumed before we arrived. Bathroom and kitchen was clean but the floors and rugs were very sandy and gritty. Also we had ants in the kitchen so instead of calling anyone, we bought ant traps which took care of the problem. The pool was wonderful, the size and style of the house worked great. Also the golf cart had a couple of problems - no lights and weak brakes but we used it anyway. We had a wonderful week and overall the house was great with just these issues.

My family described this as their "favorite" place that we have stayed! 1 block from the beautiful beach, a golf cart, a pool and plenty of space for all of us to sleep comfortably. The neighborhood was so nice and peaceful and you could drive your golf cart to pretty much any place you wanted to go (they have a farmers market on Tuesday there). Right now the pier is being worked on but there is another one 2 miles away. We just had an amazing time together and truly appreciate Ann allowing us to stay here. Her communication and response was excellent and helped me to prepare for our stay.

Our past trip to Surfside was canceled due to Covid. This was a perfect house for our family and two dogs. I appreciate that we did not need to go to a different location to get keys. THANK YOU! The house was perfect. And we would definitely stay again. It was a perfect vacation - just sad it's over.

booked it two years in a row and love it! can wait to come again. only thing i would change it cutting down the two trees in the front as they block the gorgeous view. but house is gorgeous and jept up well!

The property manager (Ann) was absolutely amazing and such a quick responder. CONS: We had a few issues (pool pump was insanely loud and when we arrived there was glass in the garbage disposal). She got someone out within hours for the garbage disposal and the pool pump took a few days but she was very open telling me she was having issues with the company. Typically when we stay at a place with a pool it gets cleaned mid week, this one did not. Not sure if this was normal or bc of the company issues. You can not see anything off any balcony due to the overgrown trees - which scratches on the window of the bedroom on the main floor when you’re trying to sleep. The whole house smelled like moth balls pretty bad. One cockroach found inside and a few outside but not completely unheard of at a beach house. House is outdated but we didn’t care. King size bed upstairs dips in the middle and makes a V shape. PROS: Living space was amazing, plenty of space for the 12 people who stayed. Kitchen had plenty of space and kitchen utensils. Bedrooms were basically soundproof - couldn’t hear anything that was happening in any other room once the door to the bedroom was shut. I have rented many houses where it was the opposite problem which was terrible - esp when little kids were staying in the house. The electric golf cart that was $175 extra was sufficient.. very slow but did its job and is 1/2 the cost of a rental. Bathrooms in every bedroom were great - good sizes too and we never had any issues with running out of hot water and there were lots of showers happening. Pool area was small but you can tell they did what they could with the space they had and we made it work. Great distance to the beach (but we couldn’t see it). Would we rent this house again? Nice roomy house. Well equipped. Had everything we needed. Owners were quick to respond with a couple of minor things. I highly recommend this property.

Pool wasn’t working when we got there but they got right on it and had us swimming the next day!!

Overall, a very nice house and location with a lot of amenities. The pictures on the VRBO site are a bit outdated and misleading. The trees are much taller and block the view and the grill shown in the pictures is not the one that’s on-site. A nice, airy and clean place; we’d definitely consider this place again! Thank you for a memorable stay.

I'd have to say the pictures don't do this place any justice. It's more beautiful in person. However, there are a few things I wanted to share. It took us 3 days for someone to get out there and get the pool to be cleaned and clear. Everytime they would send someone out they would take pictures of it, like we were lying about it., mind you not the owners, its the reality company that was used. Messages were sent to the owner and she was quick to respond at first. She had said that she called the pool medic and dunes and by what they said it was cleaned and clear. I sent her a picture of it myself. Later that day it was cleaned and cleared, 3rd day. It had leaves all in it and was VERY cloudy which was a disappointment because it should've been swim ready the day we got there. There is also NO toilet paper, hand soap, dish detergent, paper towels, etc provided. We also had stains on our comforter and there was another blanket that had stains as well. But as far as everything else, location wise, golf cart, outdoor shower was great and perfect weather.

The house was clean. Kitchen cabinets were labeled with contents. I selected this house because every bedroom had its own bathroom which was great. Only negatives for our family was: 2 tall trees in front of house covered all views of anything, need to cut them down. Need a railing on right side of stairs on outside going up into house.. Especially for the older adults, it becomes a safety issue . There is nothing to hold on to going up. Pool was dirty, no one came to clean it. we enjoyed the golf cart and the short walk to the beach.

House needs a little TLC, renters have been hard on some of the walls. Some pool furniture needs updating/power washing. Pool only gets a couple hours of sun. Close to beach. Option to rent golf cart nice. I bought a couple cleaning supplies, should have gotten windex. Love that its pet friendly and the entire first floor is tile and laminate. Will return at a warmer time. Owner responsive.

The house was perfectly located near the beach so that my family could walk there. The updated first level flooring was a nice surprise as I was expecting carpeting. I was worried about keeping the carpet clean and free from sand. The new laminate flooring there was easy to keep clean. I think the only issue my family had was all the stairs. We definitely got our exercise!

We loved the beautiful house. Weather was perfect. Enjoyed being with our family. One of the best vacations we've had. Thank you for helping us with the house. May God bless you all.
