This has always been our favorite place to stay and we have been coming here for over 14 years. However, this time was different, we even questioned if the Westin had been bought out due to all the differences. The lobby when you first walk in did not have the smell of the Westin that everyone has come to know and love. The shuffleboard table that so many families loved to play in the lobby had been removed. This shuffleboard gave families something else to do as they sat in the lobby and had dinner, drinks or just passing time for bad weather. They should have never removed it. The Westin has always been known to be a dog loving hotel, there were new signs put up in lobby saying service dogs only...what a shame. The overall look of the hotel was not as clean and neat or as impressive as it normally was. The staff wasn't as friendly, a couple of servers in the dining areas were great but overall not up to par. Truly disappointed this time and not sure if we will return to this location

The location is great. The property needs an overhaul and should be upgraded. The bed has a saggy and worn top pad, meaning that the bed needs an overhaul. The tea kettle was moldy and had old coffee filters. The carpet is well worm and shabby. The added fees are a thing...Don't forget about the resort fees ($60/night) and the parking fees ($45/night).

Just a short walk through the hotel to ski valet and gondola. Friendly , helpful staff. Restaurants a little pricey and all the fees, but typical of hotels. Pool and hot tubs nice. The studio was nice -great mattress and mini kitchen. Only negative was music was loud in the evening and tv didn’t work well. If wanted ice had to go quite a ways to another floor.

Wife and I stayed for our 19th wedding anniversary. Really enjoyed the property and VRBO. The room has high ceilings, a great private deck, and large bathroom. The property has a great gym, pool & hot tub deck. Starbucks on property. Also Avon has really grown since I was there.
In the summer, you can ride the free bus to Beaver Creek from (530a-1a), the pick up is a 200 yard walk from the property. Excellent hiking in Beaver Creek and Arrowhead.
We'll definitely stay again.

and while the shared patio space was mentioned in the VRBO ad, it's one of those "you have to see it" things but overall was not a problem. The compromises (shared patio, small storage, live music on Friday/Sat) where outweighed by the amenities, location and view.

The Westin is a wonderful hotel with many amenities; I will definitely stay there again. Great service throughout the hotel - loved the pool and fitness center!
However, I would not choose this unit again. Our balcony was shared with outside seating for guests at the hotel, therefore there was zero privacy. My husband wanted to keep the blinds closed the entire time we were there because there were people right outside the window who could (and did) look into our room. The fire pit seemed to always be occupied, so good luck trying to roast marshmallows, which we had all the materials for but no chance to use them.
Also, the fridge froze our food, but there were no settings to turn the temperature down. On the last night, while we were sleeping, a can of bubbly water exploded in the fridge.
The coffee pot that's listed isn't a real coffee pot; it's one of those that makes one cup at a time but doesn't use K-Cups. So we went to the onsite Starbucks every morning. The bed had about 4-5 inches of pillow top on it and was not good for my back. I am home now with a sore back. Wish I could have taken the pillow top off but there was not place to put it. The room was quite small.
Disappointed in this unit, and I would not rent it again.

Had a great stay in this condo for a summer trip. Condo was clean and comfortable. We loved having the patio and the gorgeous views. As other reviewers have commented, the patio connects to the main patio of the Westin, meaning that you have your own private space but within view and proximity of other guests enjoying the Westin patio. We did not mind this at all and actually enjoyed the convenience of the easy access to the larger balcony, firepit and main lobby. Condo was fully stocked in terms of dishes. The bed is very soft, so that could be an issue for some depending on preference. Our kids felt the sofa bed was very comfortable.

The Westin is great. I took two yoga classes and a Pilates on machine class. All were fantastic the gym is really nice as well. The room was great. Kitchen well equipped to make my breakfast and pack a lunch. Jump on the Riverfront Gondola and you are on the slopes. Now you just have to remember to get to Bachelors Gulch before 3:30 so you can ski past the ritz to the left, "leave the beav” takes you home.

First of all, I would like to say how thankful I am for Charlie. I had a reservation with another owner that was unfortunately cancelled without notice 4 days before my trip! Thankfully VRBO was able to reach out to Charlie and asked if he would be able to help accommodate me due to the circumstance. And not only did Charlie had this unit available but he was generous enough to price matched what I had paid for the property that was cancelled! Coincidently, I realized that I had actually rented from Charlie before. It was a different unit but this unit is just as beautiful as the one we rented last year. Both units are in the Westin Resort in Avon and offer all the convenience with the upscale feel and service. They were both fully equipped with all the kitchenware that you would need to make a quick meal. This unit has a semi-private balcony with table and chairs that is nice to just relax outside. The unit is clean and is conveniently located on the 1st floor. 5 star overall, from the aesthetic to the service, you can’t get any better than this. And Charlie is hands down the most responsive owner you can ever hope to do business with! So, if this unit or any units that Charlie owns is available, then you should look no more and just book with him! He will not disappoint!
