The beach in your backyard! We had a wonderful time relaxing in the sun and having the family together. Fishing was a big hit, looking forward to returning next year.

Wow, the cottage is perfectly located on the sound. The water was calm and shallow for the kids to play safely. The beach is the backyard. The house was clean, the beds were made, there were plenty of shower and beach towels.
David responded quickly. We would love to return!

Our second summer renting this home and while the weather was not on our side it was still a wonderful time. The location really cannot be beat, especially for the price. The true sandy beachfront is enjoyable no matter the tide, so many other homes on this beach lose their beach at high tide. Fishing, the sandbar and the pier were big hits and the neighbors were very nice and friendly. The kitchen has everything you need and it’s a wonderful stay for a large group or family. We had ten adults showering in a row and never ran out of hot water! Would highly recommend this home and we look forward to coming back for summer number three. David was friendly, responsive and helpful.

upon arrival the bathroom was left used and unflushed , the downstairs bedroom was musty and smelled until we removed rug that was source of odor. The overall cleanliness was subpar. upstairs tv's either didn't work or no remote. used soaps were left in both showers. charging premium price for location is no excuse for lack of quality of cleanliness. The grill was disgustingly dirty and greasy afraid to cook on it

The property is conveniently located with the best outdoor space we have had at a beach rental. Owner has done a nice job updating the house/furniture, but you will want to spend most of your time outside! The ability to lounge by the house, grill on the large webber grill, eat at one of the outside tables, or sit by the fire at night listening to the waves was exactly what we needed. We are country folks, so after visiting with our small dog, we opted to bring her home so we wouldn't have to manage her on a leash the entire time. Plenty of sleeping in the small house for our 6-person family (although we only slept there 2 times during the week). The private beach was great. We only saw a few people walking through or heading to the jetty to fish...otherwise the beach was all ours. Perfect. Property manager was very responsive to all communications.

We enjoyed our stay at Marks home. Very relaxing, loved watching all the boats going in and out of marina. We had absolutely beautiful weather. We were able to check in a little bit early as we arrived early. Mark was accommodating in getting us in. Will stay again.

I've stayed at this property numerous times and always wish I booked it for longer. The owner has done some upgrades to the property (inside and outside) that make it more enjoyable each year. Mark is easy to work with, the location is key - right on the beach and close to the jetty. In addition, you have multiple options for nearby day trips and many great locale restaurants. Bummed I couldn't get a week for summer 2023... fingers crossed for summer 2024.

We had a wonderful time using this gorgeous beach house to gather family for a nearby graduation. The indoors is lively and very clean, but it was really the outdoor space that made it so special, especially in COVID times. Our group of 6 adults loved it.

The location was the best. Walk out your door to sandy beach. Enjoyed watching the boats in and out of the marina. Overall was a pretty good stay. Weather was beautiful during our stay. I already booked for a mini vacation next year.

We loved this house for our 5 day trip to CT. The views are amazing and the house is extremely comfortable. The beds are great and there is plenty of furniture to accommodate our group of 7. The only issue we had was with the sump pump alarm malfunctioning and alarming for hours at 2am. That was really no ones fault though and just bad luck. Dave the owner was really nice to talk to. We are already booked for next year.

Overall we had a really nice stay for our Memorial Day weekend getaway. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do much outdoors due to the weather the whole time. A couple minor issues during our stay, but as I said it was an overall nice place to stay. Would definitely come again.

My friends, their children and I have been taking this trip annually for the last 6 year (minus 2020). We LOVED this house! It was spacious for the 9 of us and the bunk bed room was a huge hit with the kids. We are all teachers, this was the perfect retreat after a long year. The private beach right outside the back door was perfection! We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at the Beach Cottage! The house is cute, but the beach, deck, and view are amazing! The kids delighted the friendly neighbors by being the first ones they'd seen go in the water this year. One thing I hadn't noticed in reviews was suggestions of places to eat nearby. We picked up Haywire Burger the first night and we all loved it so much we got it again the 2nd night. It was still good, but not quite as incredible. Eating out on the deck was just perfect. We all enjoyed seeing the sailboats head out and come back for the night - one night we counted over 20 heading out all together.
The 2nd night we drove the short drive to Ashley's Ice Cream in Madison. The neighbors highly recommended Bill's Seafood (site says cash only), and Land of Thai. We wish we'd planned ahead better as a few places we thought looked great were closed while we were there or closed earlier in the day (Still Delicious and EDD's).
And when we realized $200+ AirPods had been left behind after we were a few towns away, Mark was really great and let us right in to find them. All our questions along the way were answered quickly and helpfully.

We were so lucky to find a property available for a few days our families were available but for it to be this property was icing on the cake! The location is perfection. Right on the beach in a great neighborhood with a beautiful backyard patio/private beach right near the jetty. The house has been updated and is gorgeous. It's spacious and fit our two families easily. It was clean, comfortable and equipped with all of the essentials. Our only complaint was that we didn't have a longer stay so we booked next year's stay as soon as we got home!

Myself and four girlfriends stayed at the beach cabin for a long weekend and we had a great time. We did have a sour taste in our mouths when we arrived, ready to wipe down all door handles and surfaces with disinfecting wipes (COVID days), we didn't expect to find crumps all over the counter tops and tables. We were very dissappointed with the cleaning, especially with the cleaning fee that we paid. We spent the first hour or so cleaning the house and then went to store to get laundry soap because we didn't trust the sheets on the bed, so we cleaned them all before we went to sleep. We were in contact with property manager and sent him some pictures and he insisted that cleaning crew was there for 3 hours (doing what... we have no idea). Refrigerator, freezer, toaster, coffee pot, stairs and counter tops were all very dirty and not a great first impression.
We did enjoy our stay very much, great location and perfect size for our group. Saw the sun rise every morning and set every night... What more could you ask for? (clean)

We planned a short in-state getaway for ourselves and some family friends. All together, it was five adults, one birthday girl who was turning 8, two 4 year olds and one 18 month old. The house was the perfect size for our two families and the kids had an absolute blast!! The beach was beautiful, and the house was cozy and welcoming. Mark was a very attentive host and we will definitely be looking to rent this property again.

Beach was wonderful! House is in a great location big enough for family and friends. Was very disappointing with the cleaning especially with the cleaning fee that is added on. We had to go through and clean the house ourselves before friends and family showed up.Some of the furniture outside was broken also a umbrella!
Communication with the property manager was great he did answer all of our questions and did respond to a text rather quickly.
Overall the house was great just wish it was cleaner for us. And the furniture outside was in better shape!
