We loved the wall of windows to the south and east and the decks on those sides as well. Very comfortable lodgings with fully equipped kitchen and wonderful location right on the beach. We saw the full moon rise and the sun set at the same time. Golf carts worked fine. All in all a very comfortable stay.

The house was nicely situated right by the beach with fantastic views of the ocean. The process by which we entered the house was nicely documented. No issues with gaining access to the house. The house was very clean. My only complaint would be that some of the towels were stained a bit. We did have an issue with the golf carts. iTrip was very, very response and had are issue resolved in under 30 minutes. All in all we had a great time.

This was one of the best vacations we have been on. Washashore was so perfect and has beautiful views. We absolutely loved how big the windows. We look forward to staying here again.

We had a fantastic trip again this year to BHI, even with Tropical Storm Ophelia! No issues with the storm and Washashore was a great house with a fantastic panoramic view of South Beach! We will definitely rent this house again!!

The Washashore is a perfectly located home . It is well laid out and was the perfect size for two couples and kids. South beach at sunset is gorgeous ! It was great that we had the option to “Belong” to the beach club for the week.. we enjoyed our stay!

Excellent location with a fantastic panoramic view of South Beach. The beach is massive and never crowded. Open floor plan all on one level is comfortable and outside shower was a hit. Central location makes for short golf cart trips to the marina, market or East Beach. Cycling on the island is a favorite. Support from iTrip staff was always prompt.

The house needs some appliance work, and new battery chargers for the golf carts. Housekeeping left the dining table dirty (crumbs and stuff on the table), and the coffee pot wasn't clean. There's an electric outlet in one bedroom with no cover.....exposed to little hands.The washing machine ruined 2 clothing items with something looking like grease. I brought that to the manager's attention and they just said they would check it. No offer to clean or repair the ruined items. The washer makes a lot of noise and seemed to have gasket or belt problems (noise when spinning). But, all said, I would return with some adjustments due to the lost garments. Great view, close to the beach.

Week was a great experience. The House was clean and well equipped when we arrived, and the iTrip folks were very responsive. We had a minor maintenance matter that was addressed within a couple of hours, and overall was a very pleased with the house and the rental.

We had a great stay at this property overlooking the dunes and ocean. The living space, kitchen, and bedrooms all appeared relatively new, as did one of the bathrooms. The property managers were very responsive, including to an issue we had with the speed gauge/regulator on one of the golf carts.

We love the house and the view is spectacular! Two golf carts have been handy too! BHI is an amazing place to vacation. Even in off-season, there's lots to do. Everyone has been very helpful, and we're having a great time!

This property is well maintained with comfortable mattresses/furniture and the three bedrooms with full baths make it ideal for a family and a set of grandparents which is how we did it. Beautiful view of the sunset from the deck. We all enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hospitality.

What a great week at Washashore. Perfect location to the beach, to shopping and to restaurants. Washashore provided everything we needed for an enjoyable week away. Ian did have us leave a day early, but that was by our choice.

We just finished a c 2 week stay at Washashore The house was perfect for us. First week there were 5 of us (myself, wife and three kids ages 2, 6, and 8). We had three additional family members join for the second week. My BIL bunked up with the older kids using one of the the trundle beds. He was all good with the set-up, as frankly he limited time in the bedroom to just sleeping/using adjoining bathroom/shower. The deck is amazing. 180 degree views of the ocean. And ability to move around during day to optimize shade/sun depending on individual preferences. Beach access was c. 150 feet away and street is super quiet so very easy for our older kids to walk to beach in the morning and fly a kite (we could keep eye on their whereabouts with the kites while we had morning coffees on the deck.) House had everything a family could need. And the ITrip management team were awesome. The island lost power briefly on the second night. This seemed to have tripped the fuse box and a couple of rooms were without power after electricity was back up at the house. ITrip team sent out an electrician/handyman to sort out within an hour or two. South beach house was perfect for our family. Close to BHI club and maritime market and easy distances to marina and east beach. Location, house set-up and the management team were all great. We hope to visit again!

This home was great. The layout was perfect for my family with all the bedrooms in opposite corners with a great open concept living/dining/kitchen for all to enjoy. The location couldn’t have been any better with the beach right across the street with unobstructed 180 degree views. The home was well appointed which left us not wanting for anything. I would stay there again and recommend it to all.

We had an amazing spring break week at Washashore. House worked out perfectly for us (parents + 2 teenagers). Property is centrally located on island with easy access to market, restaurants, shops and short drive/bike to BHI club. The two golf carts for the property were great as my one child could drive (16 year old) so kids had freedom to explore island. We had rented on BHI before and these carts were really fast - easily passing others! We did team scavenger hunts with "Where's Tippy"! Great house to see both sunrise and sunsets, although we did make trips to East Beach and West Beach to view them from the shore. Beach access is really close (50 yard walk) so popping down to beach is really easy. House was well appointed and comfortable. All the appliances and outdoor grill worked great. Contacted iTrip a few times during trip for some non-urgent issues and they were quick to respond and resolve. Overall, great experience and would highly recommend and stay there again.

This traditional beach house is located just steps from the ocean and has full windows on two sides as well as a large deck, so that we could catch both the sunset as well as a peek at the sunrise over the rooftops. It was also perfect for watching two amazing thunderstorms over the ocean from the comfort of the living room. The kitchen was well equipped so that we had everything we needed for our family meals. The house also came with boogie boards and beach chairs which we used nearly every day. We made lots of family memories during our first trip to Bald Head Island!

Really nice central South Beach location with incredible 180 views -- literally from the Shoals to the West Beach shipping channel... we loved sitting out on the huge deck overlooking the ocean from sunrise to gorgeous sunset. Steps to beach accesses. Good house design for one family, and nice, powerful golf carts... very important on BHI! The house is a little older, but was generally well-outfitted and comfortable. Only negative was that the linens could really use a refresh, and the ones left for the trundles were most definitely not clean. But we'd rent again for the great location and views!

My husband and I stayed here with his sister. The house is laid out beautifully: very open space with incredible views of the ocean. The 3 bedrooms and baths are off the great room - so lots of privacy. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean. Our only disappointment was that there were no bikes as advertised. However, the management company compensated us so that we could rent bikes.

This was our second time booking Washashore on BHI. This time we booked 10 days and want to stay even longer next year. The winter sunsets are amazing and this house may have the best views this time of year. We love the private cul-de-sac street with little to no traffic. It was like we had our own private beach. The grocery market is just down the street and the two golf carts make it easy to get around and explore. We cooked dinner at the house every night and love the gas cooktop. They sell wine and beer at the market but you need to bring your own liquor or take the ferry back to South Port. Highly recommend the house to get away and unwind. Cheers

Exactly as advertised. The house is situated at 45 degrees to the beach allowing for full 180 degree beach view from anywhere of the day living areas. Depending on time of year, you can watch a sunrise AND sunset from the porch. Porch allows for sitting in the sunlight or shade pretty much any time of day. Maritime Market delivered groceries so we were stocked when we arrived. Since there’s no car traffic, you’ve got the entire island trail system for running/ jogging / cycling, and the only thing you’ll come across are friendly folks doing the same. Lots of areas for walking in shade & under tree canopy if you need to avoid the sun. Probs one of the most relaxing vacays I’ve taken & certainly one of the top three properties I’ve stayed at on VRBO. Thanks for the memories! fdt

This was a great little home, perfect size for a family of four plus 2 grandparents. The furniture was well-maintained, beds sufficiently comfortable, house was clean, and it had GORGEOUS views. The beach access was just a short walk from the house, and the hand cart made it very easy ro carry beach chairs, etc to and from access. We would have given 5 stars all-around, but for a few things that could be easily fixed: The cooktop range needs to be replaced. It seems like this has been an ongoing issue amonst renters. To clarify, only 3 of the 4 burners work but you have to manually light them with a lighter, and once lit, the clicking sound of the igniter persists on and off until you turn off the burner. 1 burner doesn't work at all, as indicated by a little sign by the cooktop. In 1 review we read that the dishwasher leaks, and it did leak for us 1 time as well (after closing it completely). Also, the front portion of the bottom rack (that you would pull to bring it forward) is severely rusted and broken. The utensil holders have several holes so that the utensils slip through the holders and get stuck. Everything else worked perfectly well. We would absolutely love to rent this property again, assuming these small adjustments could be made.

The location and set-up of the house was great for our family! We could walk across the street to the beach or take a golf cart to another beach if we wanted. We loved sitting on the porch and just enjoying the view of the ocean. Having the beach chairs and toys available was really nice, so we didn't have to plan on bringing those things with us. Management was also very good at communicating with us prior to the trip to help with logistics. Overall, a great place to vacation!

Our favorite time of day was the morning. We would drink coffee on the deck and watch the ships and groups of pelicans.
