We loved the property! Beach was just beautiful with stunning views. The management was responsive and the house was clean and lovely.

We had a delightful week with our extended family staying at Wakita Wave. The home was exactly as pictured. It was clean and spacious, and the ocean views were incredible. The kitchen, dining room, and living room were perfect for gathering, and the decks were well-appointed with furniture for sitting and enjoying the beautiful view. The beachfront was very quiet, and it was an easy drive to shops and restaurants on Folly Beach.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay with my large group. The island is lovely. Everything was as expected and the kitchen was pretty well appointed. We appreciated the provided pool/beach towels. It would be nice if there was a collection of loose blankets for the couches etc.

Great house and location! Just as pictured, very clean, comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. Pleasantly surprised how comfortable the beds were as most rentals tend to have very uncomfortable beds. Quiet location and close to town and only 20 minutes to Charleston, I would definitely be renting this house again.

This place is amazing! It was clean, well stocked, beds are comfortable, and the views are wonderful! Its far enough from town so you have the quiet but close enough that you can go and enjoy the bars and shops. And Charleston is only about 30 minutes away if you are interested in sightseeing. The Property manager responded quickly with any questions and check-in was easy! We went for my birthday and there were 9 of us. My family and I would all love to stay here again!

Beautiful, clean, modern house in an unbelievable location on the beach! The agency was responsive to questions leading up to our visit, and kept all promises. All good!

We had a spectacular time. There was a total of 11 family members and everyone had plenty of room. The house was located right on the beach and was spacious and very comfortable. We loved the open space on the main floor that had the large kitchen, dining area and family room with large TV. 3 levels of decks offered great views of the beach and marsh. The kids enjoyed the game room and the adults appreciated the large comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Property management was very helpful and responsive. We would absolutely stay here again.

The good? Amazing ocean views from all floors of the house! Breathtaking. Plenty of room to spread out and relax, with the kitchen/living room serving as a central gathering hub. While too cold to swim, the petite pool looks inviting. Beautiful wood floors. Heating and cooling was solid. The “needing attention”? Interior walls have flat (versus satin) paint and show every scuff/stain/handprint/etc. Pantry door needs replaced. Several toilets require either holding the handle and/or repeated attempts to get a full flush. Address on the unit is not visible after dark, creating a bit of stress at arrival. Parking under the unit is easy, but there needs to be a motion light or nightlight to assist in finding the entry stairs after dark. While there is a light switch 6-foot up on a pole, good luck finding it in the dark. I understand ocean water is hard on a house, but the number of rusted air vents and can lights was surprising. The upstairs game room was a bust with only 2 dart’s having tips and the pool cues being junk. Spare pillows in closet are stained and need tossed. Air filters coated in dirt. Tape/string attached to island lights from a previous guest. While many of these concerns taken alone seem minor, the totality reduces a potentially amazing experience into just a good experience. It’s all in the details.

Maryland and Florida convened on Folly Beach for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Great location, great view and I would definitely stay here again. Would have preferred warmer weather but I still managed a round of golf. House has a great layout and slept 12 of us comfortably. There are a few minor repairs that should be addressed (most notably the wobbly hand rails) but nothing interfered with our stay. All of the needed information was provided before and during the stay to remove any guess-work. And, even though we brought some of our own cooking supplies for Thanksgiving dinner, we would have been fine without them. Thank you for a memorable time! Z Family

We’ve stayed at many homes on Folly. This is one of the best accommodations so far! Super easy check in & check out. Loved the “extras” like ice machine, beach towels, 2 dishwashers! Home is beautifully decorated with spacious rooms & an open floor plan…spectacular views & a pool! What more could you want! We were grateful for our time here!

We loved the upper deck views! The ocean is right in your back door! We didn’t get to use the pool which was a huge part of the reason we rented this home. A hurricane had come through a day before and there were lots of debris in the pool.

We had a great time at wakita wave. Everything was clean and perfect for us. We used Instacart for a few snacks and drinks. We didn’t use any kitchen appliances or cooked at the home as we wanted to try all the different restaurants in Folly. Views, cleanliness and proximity to the beach was our main concern and those were terrific. We used the beach chair rental recommendations as well and it worked out great!

We had a great time celebrating my Bachelorette weekend in Folly Beach here! All the girls loved the house and pool so much. Such a nice view and a lot of nice outdoor space. House is roomy and plenty of sleeping options.

Nice place right on the ocean with private walkway and small but nice pool. We had some issues with the AC in two rooms (very hot weather) but management was very responsive and brought portable AC units for two rooms that solved the problem. Well laid out for a large extended family, nice kitchen and a table that easily seated 10. Six bedrooms, four down and two up on the floor with the kitchen, dining and family/TV room.

Spacious rental with private access to the beach. The beach was pristine, not crowded, & the water was amazing. We loved having the pool to get in when we came up from the beach. The 3 decks offered beautiful views of the ocean. I also loved the porches in the front but the ocean view from the back was too good not to sit & enjoy. Space is very functional. Lots of stairs so if you have someone that has difficulty with them this probably wouldn’t be the best fit. There is an elevator but not available for guest use. It would have been nice to use it to get our heavy luggage up the steep garage stairs. Not a deal breaker but just something to keep in mind. The house is well furnished but some furniture looks worn & stained & could use a little “refresh.” We did enjoy our stay here & my kids said they want to come back.

Fantastic property on Folly to host a big group. The pool was perfect for cooling down, and the house sits on a beautiful stretch of beach. Incredible views of the lightning storms from the upper deck. Zero complaints, would book again.

Incredible Beach House in Folly Beach SC. Excellent location.... 3 Beach front decks with a pool... extremely clean house that brings everyone together in a spacious kitchen, dining and living room. Large bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. We loved our weekend together. Definitely coming back!!

The house was great, very clean and just as advertised. Right on the beach and had great views.

The house was in a great location to the beach, and the dining room table and living room furniture were perfect for a large group. We had to communicate a lot with the host, and they were very responsive. Initially, before we arrived, we were told to communicate through iTrip and noticed the bed count was off from the description on VRBO (2 bunkbeds vs 1). We asked host which was correct, and they apologized and fixed the VRBO description. The kitchen was not a good fit for our "foodie" group. The quality of the kitchenware was around a "C". You had the basics and a blender. The extra ice machine was a nice plus. The grill was all the way down in the garage area without good ventilation - it was old and didn't work well. No one wanted to grill because it was far from the group (two flights below in a secluded, not nice area). There was a leak under the sink, the refrigerator/freezer was dying, and the water filter change light was on (communicated with host who offered to send maintenance man, but we didn't want to deal with that during our vacation). The bed slats had moved off of one bed which required us to take off the mattress and fix it (not a huge deal - just another inconvenience). The view from the top was amazing! We wish they had more furniture up there as it would be a great spot to sit in the evening. Unfortunately, view of the ocean from the balcony off the kitchen/dining/living area was partially obstructed by the leaves of palm tree and two houses that are closer to the beach. Nothing the host could do about this, but just wanting others know that the view is partially obstructed because it disappointed us. They provided plenty of beach towels and some beach toys. The pool was nice - like a plunge pool style. We didn't use it much as it was easier for our big group to hang out by the ocean. We won't stay here again, but it could be a great place for you. It just depends on what matters to your group. For us, it was over-priced for what we got.

The house is gorgeous, well-equipped, even more beautiful in person than the photos! I had 11 of my closest girlfriends stay from Thursday to Sunday. Steven was easy to get in touch with and we were even able to check in 2 hours early as the cleaning crews work fast! The pool is so nice and well-kept. The private dock leading out to the beach is perfect, and bonus for the rinse off station for when you come off the beach. The house is massive and there was so much room for all of my girls--everyone was impressed. We've even discussed coming back for an annual trip! If you have a chance to book Wakita Wave, absolutely do it!! We never wanted to leave!

Our family of 5 adults, 2 teenagers and a 4 year old stayed here for five days. What a spectacular spot! The boardwalk from the deck to the beach was great. The pool was right on the deck and we could enjoy the view while the kids played in the pool. Lots of room for everyone! The bedrooms never quit! The teens especially loved the pool table upstairs. The absolutely only drawback to the house is a design flaw - When you want to go out on the deck to the pool and/or out to the beach, you have to walk through one of the bedrooms. There is a spiral metal staircase coming down from the living area floor, but we felt it was too unsafe for the 4 year old and one of the adults with balance issues. I would have designed the house to have the living area as you come in from the garage and the bedrooms upstairs. But there is nothing the homeowner can do about that and just an issue to be aware of. No one wanted to leave and all the kids thought we should buy the house so we could come here all the time. So I guess you could say it was a hit. Definitely a great place to stay!

Host was attentive and very responsive. Beautiful home with tasteful decors. Quiet, peaceful and wonderful location. Perfect for family gatherings and retreats.

Set the stage wonderfully for a family weekend.

We had a wonderful time. The location of the home makes you feel like you are on a private beach. The home was very roomy, and well equipped. There were ample spaces to retreat too when we wanted privacy and when we gathered as a group the common areas were comfortably furnished. The only drawback was the number of steps from the ground level to the main level of the home. We'll be back.

The property owners have zero care for you and your health and well being. They are cutthroat. We wanted to be at this spot so badly but hurricane Ian came through during our timeframe. I reached out to them and they not only wouldn’t give me my money back, but they had zero care for our health and wanted us to “board the windows and bring in their furniture from the storm.” Like what?!?! I will never recommend this to anyone.

Beautiful beach and house! My friends and I had a blast! House had everything we needed and they even had treats waiting for us when we arrived. Would highly recommend a golf cart rental to get to downtown area!

This home was beautiful, spacious and right on the beach. A little far from town (about 3.5 miles), but a nice bike ride and short car ride away. It doesn’t get much better being right on the beach, and the plunge pool on the deck was a nice treat of the beach gets too hot.
