This is a great place in the middle of the picturesque nature, where you can chill and relax, not being disturbed by any external noise. the host of the place Gilbert is a really kind and pleasant person that can share a lot of interesting information about local places.

Gilbert was very helpful and cooked a great eve meal . A lovely swimming pool which is emptied and cleaned very regularly

Loved the place, loved the host, loved the personal touch!

Corredores del Pacuare is set in hills/mountains with sugar cane fields, farms and small communities in the surrounding area. People are friendly, good humored and helpful. The host, Gilbert, was gracious and accommodating. We arrived well after lunch and Gilbert asked what we would like to eat for lunch, giving us several possibilities. We asked for vegetables and Gilbert prepared several different nicely seasoned vegetable items. He did the same for dinner even though Gilbert offered beef of fish options. There was a lovely deck and pool overlooking the valley. The bed was comfortable.

It was long drive from San Jose and Waze seemed to take us on a longer route than necessary. The drive was 4 hours or so. Your vehicle needs a high clearance as the roads are gravel and somewhat rutted. You might want to check with someone if it is the rainy season as the roads could be difficult.

I challenge anyone to find a host more wishing to please his guests than Giberth. The attention to detail, not only at the meal table, but floral and items of interest around the whole site makes you feel special (as if for you personally). The food was fantastic, fresh, interesting flavours and served with care. The pool area and viewing platform provides a really relaxing experience.

The property is 10km in any direction via gravel roads, but these are easily navigated. The cabins are not huge but adequate with good electric showers. Drive is steep but there is enough parking.

We had a fabulous time. Gilberth is a brilliant host who diligently cares for his guests. The scenery and setting is simply beautiful and Gilberth has built a wonderful pool area to relax. Gilberth helped us book white water rafting and is on hand to support for anything. Gilberth cooks lovely evening meals and being with him during the holidays we sampled some traditional celebratory rice pudding which was excellent. Thanks so much Gilberth we will be back! X
