We have stayed here before but it was during COVID, so the hotel was almost deserted & food available was extremely limited…So it was really lovely to see the hotel totally up & running this time, serving delicious food & booked to capacity. It was a pleasure to stay here again - thanks for a warm welcome back & a cheery goodbye.👏👍

rooms ok Hotel staff good Gym/swimming pool staff did not inform us that our half an hour slot was going to be immediately followed by a swim class which meant 10 mins getting ready time (adult, baby, 8 yr old) and swim with 5 mins to get out of the pool

Great hotel, comfortable could do with a little bit of renovating. All staff very helpful and friendly breakfast is fantastic with a capital F. They also cater for coeliac. Swimming pool is also very nice free parking.

Holiday Inn is ever reliable. Didn’t spend much time at the hotel but it did exactly what we needed. Decent shower, comfy bed, good breakfast.

Hotel in need of maintenance and repairs. Wardrobe door did not shut fully. Bathroom extractor fan didn’t work. No hotel information in the room. Non existent service at the restaurant. Ordered simple fish and chips for one person which hadn’t arrived for over 45 minutes! Had to cancel the order and eat elsewhere!

The kids wish token, children's book area were lovely touches, it's nice for a hotel to be kid friendly but they should try and cater for kids aged 8 too rather than just the little ones. Kids can eat free if a parent is dining, shame they can't make the kids meals free for all kids staying at the hotel without stipulating a parent should order a main meal too. £16.50 for macaroni cheese, overdone garlic bread and salad is very overpriced. Thankfully breakfast was good quality, fresh and lovely. Negatives from our stay included very poor soundproofing so you could hear the TV and coughing from other guests rooms, doors opening / closing, kids running and shouting so we didn't have a good night's sleep. The room was also very cold and the thermostat didn't work when we tried to make it warmer. We mentioned to the receptionist and she advised they would have a word with maintenance and offered some loyalty points, explaining she couldn't compensate us for our poor sleep as I had already paid for the room in full through Expedia, sadly not a good first impression for a family staying in holiday inn for the first time. The pool was very small and I wasn't impressed with the 30 minute slots that had to be pre booked, it's a lot of faff getting kids changed, showered and dried for just 30 minutes in the pool. I specifically booked the hotel for a family swim after diggerland so I wasn't impressed with the restricted time limit on Saturday evening.

Not overall impressed by this holiday inn hotel. Considering the price for a one-night stay, the room felt damp and dated. Having stayed in several holiday inns over the years this one ranked low and would not be a choice the next time I stay in the area.

The pool was fantastic after a long drive. The food was tasty and well presented Comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend.

Overnight stop. We checked in late at about midnight and the receptionist was very helpful. All the staff were friendly and attentive during our stay. The only minor criticism is that the bed could have been a little better but all the bed linen was lovely

We booked at a very good price. The hotel reception was pleasant. We felt we should have been told that we were allocated their disabled room for no other reason than the toilet was so high (and we are both tall) that it was difficult to use also the basin very low. Other than that the room was a lovely size and very comfortable

If you are looking for an affordable option, this hotel is much better value than a Premier Inn. The reception area is ideal for sitting in, and there were plenty of staff at all times

The Hotel and pool and gym facilities were great. The food wasn't very good apart from the Pizza and very expensive for such poor quality.

We stayed as a stop over on the way from Hertfordshire to Devon. Useful location close by the M5 and easy to find. Clean, comfortable, meals available, staff helpful and friendly. We were late down for breakfast but the young barman still sorted it for us.

It was superb value for money...clean and tidy ...very nice staff ...vefy professional.... Against......didnt like the price of breakfast on the morning we were leaving.....£16.is a silly amount for one person for breakfast

Lovely stay over the bank holiday weekend. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Swimming pool and health club were great. Tasty food served in the comfortable, modern bar area which had a great atmosphere. Rooms were fine, a bit tired in places. Free & easy parking. Convenient location.

Excellent hotel near the M6 junction. Hotel is clean and well maintained with a large car park. It looks like the hotel was recently refurbished. The room and ensuite bathroom was clean and well maintained. The leisure club has a good sized pool, spa pool and sauna. This is looks newly reburbished.
