This is an “Ok” hotel, breakfast isn’t the best. Overall, just an average hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are friendly and speak English. Excellent parking space. Only a 10 to 15 min. walk from the city center. Beautiful surroundings near the hotel. Nice, clean room and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended for a city trip.

The staff were incredibly helpful and made sure all of my needs were taken care of. The food at the hotel was also amazing - I couldn't get enough of the delicious meals they served. I will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The room was a bit outdated, but an excellent experience: great breakfast buffet, and wonderful and friendly staff. I would stay there again without hesitating.

Nice atmosphere, great location 10 min. walkcentre. And parking when you are on time. We had a twin room quite spacious on the 3rd floor. Only when opening windows for fresh air at night music comes up the atrium. And note: bathtub was very high getting in for a shower. Hotel should mention this by booking! We had no problem but older people...And there is a safety handel missing in the bath to hold when you get out it is bit unsafe.

Very good value for money, with all one needs, including air conditioning, comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities, and a safe. In an excellent position as well.

The hotel opened 33 years ago and it shows. It’s like time had stopped. Everything is tired and rundown, the floor carpet in the worst condition I have ever seen, the whole architecture concept old fashioned to say the least. All for the price of a four star that the hotel still claims to be. Just avoid it until they renovate it (construction to start next year, they told me). For info: parking overnight costs 21 euros (which we were not properly informed about at arrival).

The hotel was ideal for a stay in Lille

I cannot understand the positive reviews for this hotel. I paid for an upgraded deluxe room which was around £60 more than rooms in the other 4 star properties in Lille. Sadly despite being moved by a very accommodating-but embarrassed receptionist the rooms were dated, poorly maintained and cleaned - two different beds are in my images. I had no choice due to logistics but to stay. No manager available all weekend. It then took a week to respond to my complaint. Eventually an offer of a refund but a week later Hotels.com have still not had this authorised by the hotel. I now know that the hotel is due a full refurb. It so needs it. The carpets in common areas, like the bedrooms, are all stained. Basic maintenance has not been carried out and to have chairs as battered as they were shows a very badly run hotel. As a business owner I know that some customers use reviews as a weapon which is why I have taken 2 weeks to post this review to see if the management could resolve it speedily. Sadly not! How can a large hotel never have a manager available for Expedia to resolve an issue?

The hotel is conveniently located. It is very close to the historic Citadel, now a large park with a zoo and amusement park, and fantastic for walks and runs. The hotel is a short walk to the centre of Lille and about a 20 mins leisurely walk from the Eurostar station. The hotel has been modernised. The rooms are clean and welcoming and very quiet. The bar served a good range of alocollic and non-alcoholic cocktails and drinks. Breakfast was included in our booking and there was a good variety. We found the staff friendly.

Beautiful hotel, with interesting history. Mix of old with modern. Very happy employees made the stay pleasant to our family.

Have you ever stayed in a hotel that was BETTER than the photos? Neither had I... until I stayed here. It's stunning inside and out. Large,spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast. Fab area to explore Lille a pied.

In a ancient monastery. Nice hotel, good rooms, staff is almost non existent. When we asked for a glass of water in the lobby we were told we can find one in the bar or the toilet..

We had a great stay at the hotel. The apartment suite was spacious for a family of four. The hotel was also conveniently based with a short walk to a lovely park and also to Lille’s city centre. The breakfast was amazing and we also had good weather. I would love to be back in the near future.

Perfectly situated to access dining, retail or outdoor areas. Having seating in the room made it more comfortable to relax between activities. Very spacious room. 1st and 2nd floor carpets and facade looked new and fresh, 3rd floor was dinghy looking with stained carpet and lighting on/off along corridor making it dark.

Great location just on the edge of the old town so able to walk everywhere. Great restoration of an historic building, good sized rooms and very clean. Wonderful champagne bar.

We checked in to the very impressive hotel after a long drive from Lyon. When i put the card into the electricity box in the wall nothing happened. I took it out and put it in again and there was a loud bang and a long of sparks. I gound myself on the other side of the room im literal shock! We went straight back to receptuon who gave us the key to another room straight away. When we got to the new room it was clear that the half a bottle of complimentary water hadn't been replaced from the previous guest and there were signs of poor workmanship in the bathroom, especially in thenside panel which was left open to access plumbing.
