The associate at the front desk was very pleasant and the property itself was as described. My reason for the 3 star rating is due to the unexpected deposit I was required to pay in order to stay. I had to pay $250 (refundable upon inspection after check out) in order to keep my reservation as planned. I had to pay more than 3 times the rate of my room, just to be able to keep my room. I was fortunate I had the funds, but that was only due to timing. This fee was never disclosed to me, and was "because I'm a local resident." I won't be returning to this location for this reason, which is unfortunate because I enjoyed my stay otherwise.

The first room we were checked in to smelled so perfumy and heavily frangranced that it gave my husband and I a headache and started giving us a sore throat. It smelled like a grandma who smoked lived in that room and you tried to mask the smoke smell with her perfume.
We finally got moved to a different room and it just smelled very strongly of wood polish, which was an upgrade but still not ideal. The beds felt very old and worn down or maybe just very cheap. Will not be staying here again, dispite the sign out front that said the rooms had been newly renovated.
The 2 ladies at the front desk were very kind and helpful but they told us they were helping out from the hotel next door. But I'm so happy they were there because she said the normal lady would be mad that she moved us to a new room.

We were put in a handicap accessible room right beside the elevator. Unfortunately we got to hear the coming and going of most people in the inn. The room had food crumbs and dirt scattered across the floor under and around the desk along with allover the seat of the recliner. The rest of the room was clean. We do have a suggestion. Staff needs to stay off their cellphones while working. While eating breakfast a guest kept blowing her nose up by the food, threw her tissue in the trash and started wiping her nose on her hand. From there she started touching the door on the refrigerator, the bagel/bread boxes and the toaster along with trailing her fingers over the countertops. If staff hadn't been on her cell phone she would have seen and been able to wipe down all surfaces so another guest wasn't exposed to who knows what. Nice hotel, but not likely to stay there again based totally off of the lack of cleanliness.

Front desk staff very friendly. Easy check-in, nice room, quiet, clean, comfortable. Easy access to main highways. I will definitely consider staying at this property again. I wish every hotel stay was this pleasant.

for the price I paid ($86 per night), I think I got what I expected. stayed here as part of a layover during a 10 hour car drive to Pittusburg. So no complaints. decent hotel, provided a decent breakfast even though not a hot breakfast, its ok. will consider this for break journeys.

I am a Platinum Marriott and Diamond Hilton member. But needed an affordable place in this location last minute. The place was great. Seemed very Clean, friendly staff, decent typical free breakfast. I'd stay here again no problem. The rooms have been recently renovated. Bed was not very luxurious, but was perfectly fine.

It is advertised as pet friendly, but then didn't want to honor my prepaid reservation because we had one small caged bird. The clerk, who was very unpleasant, finally let us check in, but only with a $250 deposit. Add to this the hard beds, and it was a horrible stay. I will never stay at another Quality Inn.

This place has great reviews so I expected it to be great. The staff was super nice. The beds were clean and nice. I don’t know what is “art deco” about the property. I have never known fake wood grain to represent art deco, nor any of the decor in this hotel. The tub wasn’t clean - there was hair in it when we arrived. And the towels were threadbare. One also had a blood stain on it. It is a good location, and they accept pets (we didn’t have a pet with us) for a low price, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

We arrived in the pouring rain, So we didn’t pay much attention to the area around the hotel. It was convenient to the highway. It took three rooms for us to be assigned a room that was clean; the first room had hairs all over the bed covering the top sheet, the second room had multiple stains on the inside of the bed of unknown origin and hair in the bed, the third room was clean enough to sleep. The hotel did not match the reviews and images we saw when booking online. However, the staff were pleasant and ready to help us. The breakfast was basic and had fewer options than similar hotels we’ve stayed in the past, Traveling with children the breakfast was very disappointing. Would I stay here again? No, I would find another hotel.

Checking in was easy. Unlocking my room, however, was not. I had to carry my bags back to the lobby to ask for help. The person helping me, Leroy, was very nice but had problems unlocking the door as well. We finally got it figured out (you have to pull the door towards you so the lock can slide free) and everything else was fine. The bed was too soft for my taste, but everyone's taste is different. The room was clean, everything worked well. By the amount of people at breakfast the next morning I can say that it's a popular hotel.
