Alot of young people drinking with little kids all around .

Property was nice around but water on the beach wasn't what i speck (no cristal water or blue water like another beaches at lake tahoe.

If I could rate just based on the tiki hut and the DJ, I'd give this hotel a high score. However, the overall experience was disappointing due to the need for a major remodel. The rooms were dingy and unclean, with a door that wouldn’t lock securely and a malfunctioning TV that required multiple maintenance visits to fix. Additionally, the room size was quite small. The beach, which isn’t private to the hotel, was crowded over the holiday weekend, which was somewhat expected but still a drawback.

Location is great and by the beach, plus easy to get around.. the room was not super clean and the shower wasn't great. No coffee maker and the TV doesn't really work, we didn't really care about that, but some will.

I recently stayed at the Beach Retreat and Lodge, and had a disappointing experience. Our room had multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues. We found blood stains on the carpet and stains on the sheets. The AC unit had a light indicating the filter needed cleaning and did not blow cool air, making the room uncomfortable. Additionally, the soap pumps in the shower were not functional. The amenities were subpar. The pool, advertised as heated, was cold and unenjoyable. The most frustrating experience was at the sports bar. Service was terrible; we waited 15 minutes before receiving menus, didn’t get utensils with our meal, and had to ask three times for our bill. The only redeeming factor was the beach, which was beautiful and serene. However, the overall poor condition and service at the hotel overshadowed this positive aspect. I would not recommend the Beach Retreat and Lodge.

Great location near the Lake and with beautiful views. Great location with nearby things to do. I wish the bathroom had a fan because the smell stays and lingers. In the shower, the Hot water was cold and the Cold water was hot. Overall a decent hotel and near the Lake

Loved our stay here, Only downside was that we had to keep calling maintenance to turn on the fireplace in the room, hotel was clean, quiet. The hotel staff and very attentive to anything we need.

Loved the easy lake access

It was a bit outdated . The lobby lacked any type of charm

Lady who checked me in was rude.Nice room, decent view. Shower would not work, called and the maintenance man came and kinda fixed it. We went to dinner came back for a nice shower, no hot water, extremely disappointed. Only other thing was a old coffee cartridge from previous guest that housekeeping missed.

Loved access to the beach.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, and fun place to stay. We enjoyed our family holiday here, and the kids loved the pool and beach. Thanks!

Clean rooms and friendly staff!

The hotel is nice and in very good location, right next to the beach. Front desk service was excellent. Easy check in and check out. Our only complain was bed. It was bit uncomfortable and we kept waking up couple of times every night. The restaurant on the pier has nice view and friendly employees but it took forever to get our food.

The location of this hotel was amazing. And the staff in the restaurants were nice. The front desk however was not very helpful. The hotel was putting on an event down the street, and nobody knew any details about it, like the location, time etc. You’d think they’d be the ones with the info. But worst of all, our room was very dirty. The carpet would make my kids feet black! Our room was never cleaned during our stay. They gave us new towels and dumped the trash, only the first of 5 days. When we went to the pool, there were never any towels, and the pool water was so cloudy. The beach had trash all over and in the water. Very disappointed, especially for Tahoe.

Good for the price.

Excellent location, staff and amenities. Restaurants on site were very good. Pet friendly site. Can’t wait to return.

I recievd an email saying my room is ready around 1:30 pm, when I show up they said it was a 30 dlls early check! Other then that, everything was perfect

This is the worst motel I stay at. I stay there for three days and nobody comes to my room to clean up. I had to go around looking for the cleaning lady that asked for new towel. She doesn’t understand a word of English. The room was filthy dirty.. We have a big group we book 5 rooms total all the rooms was filthy dirty. We called the front desk every day. They said they were too busy to clean up because all the room was fully booked. They need to hire more cleaning workers..I never will come back here again.

Had a room on the first floor, next to the Tiki Bar, with easy access to the beach and with a great view of the lake. Sitting out on the balcony, early in the morning looking out at the lake (before the crowds arrived) was near perfection. The kiddo loved hanging out at the pool and hot tub and looked forward to the s'mores each night. We took a water taxi (boat trip) to check out a few other docks, which was fun. The water activities company is located next to the hotel - convenient. We would stay here again!

Having the beach walking distance was so convenient. It was also close to downtown, Safeway and restaurants.

Amazing resort! Beachfront unit was stunning

This is our favorite place to stay in Tahoe. It is kept up to date, is convenient to access the beach, beautiful views, and fairly quiet!

It's the first time we've ever been out to Lake Tahoe at what an amazing experience being in nature surrounded by the calmness of the lake. Me and my husband are already looking forward for the opportunity for when we have the time to come back. Also plan on bringing the grandkids they are just going to love all the hiking / fishing as well as all the lookouts opportunities they are for great photos.. we really enjoyed every morning sitting out on our balcony drinking coffee just relaxing.

Staff was accommodating

We loved the beach retreat. Beautiful location friendly staff. Fun activities available on site. The only problems we had was a lack of amenities. They were always out of towels at the pool and they ran out of propane and didn’t light all of the fire pits so it was really crowded and hard to get a turn. They had staffing issues and the restaurant we we’re counting on for breakfast wasn’t open when it was supposed to be and they closed early so no drinks at night either. They did their best to compensate, explain, and apologize for any inconvenience these things caused.

Great location. Right on the beach, but sometimes there are drunk and homeless people going crazy. We’ve got parking passes, but it seems like no one checks on them, especially during peak times- several times just random cars parked on designated parking heading to the beach. Our building was right on the beach, amazing views, but very small room, no microwave, no table, basically no place to eat. When we arrived, the floors in the room were not washed, my feet became dirty in few minutes. I asked the front desk to fix that, was promised, but they never have done it. Same applies to sheets- they didn’t feel fresh. Room service- never vacuumed our carpet in 4 days. They have several areas around the pool with fire pits and beautiful white anorak chairs. The chairs are so dirty, it seems like they weren’t cleaned in ages. I couldn’t bear to sit in there without using their pool towels. What can I say? Beautiful location, but not clean, and poorly maintained.

The staff and vicinity to the beach were incredible!! Found a few hairs in the towels/sink upon checkin :/ but otherwise fantastic! A little outdated, with an AC wall unit that was probably within an inch of its life. But would stay there again.
