Run down and outdated
2.0 / 10.0
Novotel usually stands for consistent quality although without any fantasy. This one is an exception for the worse. Our "superior" room was dated, painted dark green and depressive without sufficient lighting and a view on a deteriorated parking lot. Rain shower was broken, no coffee in the room (only tea). Absolutely the worst value for money in my past 10 years of hotel experience. I assume the only reason why they have 4 stars is because of the swimming pool and the restaurant which probably has a good chef but poor staff (food was good quality but not served warm). There was a smell of waste bins in the garden and from the two EV charging points, one was completely broken down and unusable (the other being occupied continously). Staff was very helpful but absolutely junior both at the reception and in the restaurant.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only complaints i have is that this hotel dosent look or feel like a 4 star hotel. The staff and the service and attention they gave were 4 star but the hotel is maybe a 3 star.

The stay at the hotel was good. However there was a coach trip from Germany and some of those guests were very rude which affected our visit. It was a great shame. The hotel staff did a great job in trying to handle them.,

Old rooms and outdated facilities. AC did not work and had a terrible nights sleep. Completely over priced for what was received. Would not stay here again.

Perfect place to serve as a base to explore the Loire Valley. Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice restaurant in the hotel, beautiful area around the hotel.

We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) with half board €39. Its not clear when you book that this doesnt include the children. You have to pay extra for them which is surely a nonsense, why would the booking system assume we wouldnt feed the children. There are good fscilities for the kids, tennis, ping pong etc.
Breakfast was shambolic with lots of things running out and the area being too small to cope with the number of families.
Overall it was a nice stay.

It's a perfectly good family vacation place, not for business or serious travelers.

The hotel was good with friendly staff.
Unfortunately food served at the restaurant was poor.
The main course of Pollock gratin contained 90% potato

So many fun options for kids: playground, games room, pool... it made for a great visit. Breakfast had lots of great options, but was often crowded and disorganized. We also had dinner in the restaurant, it was okay, but not great.

Very nice place for a stopover with the family, decent rooms and great public spaces, outdoor pool and grounds. Breakfast quality was excellent!

A great "simple and practical" hotel.

Great for us with dogs although thought 10euros each for small dog was a lot. Disappointed by breakfast. Lack of implements to serve food. Poor fruit. Very little and rock hard. No Covid measures. No orange juice. Poor meat selection. No distancing

only disappointment was the restaurant. Lunch was below average.

Great overnight family stop - super clean, fast check in, good restaurant (with kids menu) and a decent breakfast buffet that catered to all tastes. Would definitely stop there again.

Looked like it was on a Nature reserve, but we didn’t have time to explore. Hotel was good, but restaurant was flavorless and my husband got food poisoning.

Newly refurbished, clean comfy rooms ideal for families. Nice pool area.
Good breakfast.

Not liking the recent refit - now looks like a Legoland hotel. Gave the food a miss this year as overpriced for what is basically a pretty average meal. better to take yourself off into town and get a decent dinner. Very convenient place to stop off on the way down south. On the whole what you expect from a Novotel - Clean and tidy with comfy beds.

A lovely surprise. Good facilities, kept both tired adults and overactive children happy. The perfect overnight to break up a long journey.

Very clean family room, beds comfy, lovely small pool for cooling off after a 4 hour drive from Calais. Staff a bit slow with drinks but oh well, we are on hols, whats the rush!!

Nice room with lots of extras and comfy bed but it was cold in the room and the thermostat didn’t work.

Hotel was in great location for stopover on way back to UK from Dordogne. It was full of families with children doing the same thing. Surprisingly quiet considering number of guests. Only negative was the sofa-bed was not set out when we arrived so we had to do it ourselves.

Ideally situated midway from ferry ports and SW France. Very helpful staff who speak English. Restaurant service was excellent with good food.

We spent a couple of days in Orleans as part of a week long Loire Valley trip.

This was an over night stop over on a 9 hr car journey. Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Kids loved their gifts and the family room was comfortable. A great location out of town with a large choice of restaurants near by.
2.0 / 10.0
Restaurant is buffet style and as you're in the middle of nowhere you are limited therefore with food choices unless you want to drive to a restaurant (we did but many were closed) eventually we ate in a chain restaurant as I simply don't do buffet meals that have been left out to fester for god knows how long.
The hallway leading to our room really smelled of damp and the decor is really tired and old.
