I arrived a bit early which turned out to be no problem. My room was ready and check in was a breeze. The room was clean and all the things I was looking for were there, fridge, a window that opens, a nice table and chair for my computer work.
There were a couple of problems that cropped up the next morning. The shower head was so encrusted with ick that I actually had to clean it before there was enough water to take a shower. And the hair dryer did not work. It was early and there was a person at the desk who said he would get one to me. I had to leave before it arrived.
I spoke with the front desk about the shower head and the hair dryer and they got it fixed by the time I got back to the room in the afternoon.
Comfy bed. Clean room. Prompt repairs.

Clean, quaint with a helpful staff. Small microwave, fridge, blow dryer, iron & board. Coffee and machine in the room. Shampoo, conditioner and body soaps, all Tommy Bahama, provided. Parking off the street $20 a night not included. Near restaurants and market and a gas station. Plenty of usb plug ins. Swimming pool is closed for the season. 9 min from University District shopping. WiFi was good, tv channels too. Bathroom was handicap accessible. A small safe and bathrobes were provided. Beds were comfortable with separate comforters per person. A/C worked really good. There’s also a cafe on each end of the block.

I love the University Inn!! I had a large tub in my room and took a long bubble bath before relaxing with a glass of wine after a very stressful day. I slept well, had wonderful dreams and was on my way early in the morning!!

We loved our stay here, it’s a great location and fun little hotel. We really appreciated the amenities such as the free water and drink. The check in staff were very helpful and kind. They were able to switch our room so we could be next to our friends that were also staying here.

Great location and on site parking. We unfortunately had our car window smashed out while we were at a concert (car was not parked at the hotel at the time).
When we returned to the hotel we explained our issue and they were kind enough to allow us to park in a loading area so the car was visible to prevent further issues.
In the morning, the maintenance team vacuumed all the broken glass out of the car and even put plastic on the window so we could drive home. They went above and beyond to help us at a really low point. Check in and out was fast and easy and room was simple but clean. Would definitely stay again. They really cared about our situation and tried to make it a bit better.

We had a great stay at The University Inn. The front desk staff were very helpful at checkin. Room was spacious and we had everything we needed. Parking was $20 and had both covered and uncovered spaces. Overall, it’s a dated hotel and did smell a bit like dogs but they advertise they’re super dog friendly so it shouldn’t be a surprise. The staff and comfortable room easily make up for this. Would stay again

Resort fee for a non resort is ridiculous plus being charged for parking. I’ve been coming to University inn for years- the extra fees are the definition of junk fees. Disappointed that the Pineapple does this to their customers.

this was a great property! walking distance to LRT and lots of great restaurants. it was also pretty safe and quiet. staff was fantastic too.

The hotel was very boutique and unique. The pool was awesome, super deep and loved the free beverage and unlimited water. The beds said queen size but were actually smaller (a double size). Some extra hidden fees came up as well, so check that out before you go but otherwise would be worth going again.

University Inn Staypineapple was a really nice stay for the price. We needed to be at University of Washington, so the location was perfect! We loved the afternoon cookies and welcome drink along with the two European duvets. Although it was really warm, the pool was too cold to enjoy and we wish there would have been some food options. But overall a great stay and we’ll look for a Staypineapple in the future!

Our dog GYPSY was treated on arrival with a welcome board, treats, her own bed and water dish. Great convenient location. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The welcome beverage / snack per guest is a great touch for a hotel in this range.... and always available cookies / flat or sparkling water was nice for the kids. The double duvets on the queen beds also made it extra comfortable
