Traveling through for one night after leaving SD where we had an excellent experience at a Country Inn & Suites on Lacrosse St. @ I-90 in Rapid City. Needed an overnight stay on our way to Colorado Springs and thought we would stay with same chain in Sidney, NE. Front desk staff was very cordial but when we got to our first room, it appeared that the room was not cleaned thoroughly as there was one waste basket in the room that was full of trash and an empty, plastic shopping bag left on the counter. This made us wonder if the room had been cleaned at all or if the bed linens had even been changed. The in-room coffee maker was dusty and the water reservoir was filthy. Notified front desk staff who immediately provided us with a new upgraded room; however noticed similar issues in the new room. In-room coffee water reservoir was filthy and there were 2 old used tea bags in the slot for brewing left from a previous guest. There were 2 empty bathroom tissue rolls left on the dispensers with a roll of tissue paper sitting above on the bathroom sink counter. There was a plastic spoon left by a previous guest under the bathroom sink counter. I took pictures in case Choice Hotels is interested. These issues make you question if other typical expected cleaning and changing of fresh linens were completed. Would definitely not recommend this property to anyone and Choice Hotels should thoroughly investigate what they need to do at this location to bring it up to acceptable standards.

Had a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom when we got there! The front desk clerk was very sweet but she walked to our room with us to make sure it was clean. Had already checked someone into a dirty room! Didn’t notice the towel until after she left— everything else appeared to have been cleaned. Carpets were very stained and dirty! Beds were ok! Breakfast was not bad — scrambled eggs, link sausage (cold) biscuits and gravy! We have stayed here numerous times while traveling and it just didn’t seem as clean and kept up! Not sure I will stay here again.

The breakfast that was offered was cold. I had to reheat in the microwave. The shower was lukewarm.

Staff was excellent but the hotel is run down and carpeting was stained and dirty.

Bed was comfortable, toilet needed plumbing attention. Breakfast was skimpy.

We went to the room and didn’t stay. Horrible. The rating is so wrong.

The lock on my room door wouldn’t open so i depended on the staff to assist me in entering my room. The room was nice and the staff was great.

Found dog hair in our bed. Pet urine stains all over the carpet. Sink and rubs are old and rusty.

We stayed two nights and the staff were amazing. They were very friendly and often offered additional services. The negative side was that the carpet and furniture in our room were stained and dirty. We could see that a lot of things around the hotel were in disrepair. The desk clerk did explain that the hotel was under new ownership and the owner was trying to fix everything.

The rooms were absolutely disgusting. Do not let the pictures deceive you. When we walked in there were stains all over the bedding and the rest of the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. We took our stuff and got out to stay somewhere else. Super disappointed.

The property was run down. The hot tube didn’t have water in it. The breakfast wasn’t ready when they said it would be.

I was expecting a little nicer when you book a country inn and suites. It wasn’t terrible but it was not the cleanest.

The hotel was tolerable. The hall smelled like mildew, maybe there had been flooding? Cause then the room smelled like carpet cleaner. There couch in our room was torn up. Otherwise it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was overpicked and pretty well empty by 745. There was someone filling things up but she was behind the need.

The room itself was fine and the beds were great, but there were several maintenance items we saw: fitness center closed because of broken A/C, ice maker, door lock didn't work and they were able to switch our room, toilet not flushing, out of coffee cups and several breakfast items.

Great location and conveniently off the highway. The rooms were decent but could be cleaner especially the bathroom. The ice maker was down and sadly this location only has one. Breakfast was limited and quickly ran out. Manager and staff were friendly which made the overall stay okay.

Only ice machine not working. Was told by staff, internet & cable has just been restored the morning of my check in. However tv stations were very limited (no national tv channels) . Received channeling like Cowboy Channel. Everything was out of date. Room was clean. . But everything was old. Shower water was just a tiny stream. Shower soap dispenser was empty. Location is across from large trck/car gas station- lots of dust. Would never have given it rating it had.

This hotel clearly showed its age. The bathrooms were not particularly clean and the ice machine was broken. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. The gentleman that was working at the time was more concerned with his phone than making more food so that the people waiting could eat. I do not find it acceptable at 8:15 am to be out of milk, eggs, sausage, potatoes, pastries, and waffle mix. Dry cereal was the only option along with bread and some gravy with no biscuits. Breakfast didn’t close until 9:00 and the gentleman working told my kids that he didn’t have any more. It wasn’t until my husband mentioned something to the lady that was just coming on shift that he started to make a couple of things, again while paying more attention to his phone. I understand that places are short staffed but put some effort into pleasing customers. This hotel was way overpriced for what we got and for the service.

Our stay started with a certain level of chaos. The check in process was very slow due to internet issues. The front desk lady had to use her personal cell phone as a hot spot in order to check people in. The free wifi was slower than when I was in highschool using dial up, so we were unable to use it. The cable TV was also not working and the only assistance we got was I'm sorry I don't normally work here. Which I believe she was doing the best she could with the crappy situation. Our only entertainment was waiting to use the washer and dryer. In the morning the Internet was still not working, but Randy Joe was awesome. He was trying his best to do three different jobs, and while he didn't have the tools that he needed to get them all done. He was working very hard. We would have asked for a refund or discount, but I don't think that would have been possible with the hotels.com app. Otherwise the room was clean, the sheets on the king bed fit like they were for a queen bed. The cookies in the lobby were also good.

The overall hotel and the room were very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. The room was spacious. We appreciated the refrigerator and microwave being available in our room.

I was told I would be receiving a refund after leaving moments after seeing my room. We will see if this will happen.

Computer was down. Reception was on phone trying to fix it. Another receptionist went to her car and got her personal phone to check me in. This took over 30 minutes. The room was ok. Beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was not. Bathtub looked like it hadnt been cleaned in months. The outside door did not lock. Not sure i would recommend this hotel.

Room had odor and bathroom so dirty that toilet had ring of dirt around water. Sink also was draping water very slow so water was filling up in sink. Would not stay here next time.

Stayed one night. Carpet was filthy. Locked broken on door. Could not work the t.v. Staff was friendly and efficient. Did not eat breakfast, but smelled amazing. Conveniently located.
