While our room had all the basic amenities and was comfortable, te decor gave it a very spartan feel. The breakfast was very good.

The hotel is well located and has a very nice decor. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was outstanding, and the value for price was very good.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Location is great! Breakfast was great! Front desk service was very helpful. Hotel in good condition and very comfortable. The only complaint was that the towels were so thin you needed 2 to dry from a shower. Goodness, I have used thicker towels in Ethiopia! Oh, one more thing. The WIFI is not secure! This should be updated!

Perfect vintage hotel set right in the middle of a medieval town.

Definitely the best place in town, well located, well maintained and good facilitues. Rooms are very large.

Friendly staff, very good food and wine, excellent bed, perfect location; walking distance to the main railway station; main attractions all nearby. I highly recommend if you like kind of Classic hotels but with a touch of moderniy, and if you prefer quiet hotels. I certainly would return!

Our stay was fantastic and the hotel was excellent. The bed linen was so soft and comfortable. The only thing negative was the parking, it was really narrow and to hard to park.

Everything is fine, nice sauna. If you have a big car, getting into the parking area may be a bit troublesome, though.

Great location. Parking on site although VERY tight if a larger vehicle like an SUV. Really good breakfast.

Just be aware that the parking lot & garage can only be accessed through a rather narrow passageway (2.10 meters wide).

I'm a little late with the review, but we loved this hotel. Beautiful staircase, nice rooms, and the location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go except Wartburg Castle, but the bus stop for the castle tour is almost right in front of the hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful and spoke English. We would absolutely stay here again.

Friendly service and most helpful. Comfortable rooms, just rather noisy with deliveries being wheeled across cobbled courtyard. No kettle in room, otherwise great. Excellent breakfast.

Reservation check in desk is not helpful or friendly. We have to ask so may questions in order to get any information. Simone is so unfriendly.

Great hotel in the middle if Eisenach. Outstanding breakfast and a good restaurant overall.

This was a beautiful old world hotel but with all the modern amenities. The hotel restaurant was fantastic and had a great selection of wines as well. Only negative is they do not have irons in the room.

We were enticed to visit Herleshausen which was a disappointment, but the hotel and neighborhood nearly made up for it. Sauna area was very nice, breakfast buffet was very good if a little expensive.

Nice hotel but one incident while there could have been better handled. I was in the lift on the ground floor with another guest and when I pressed to go up, the lift went down, gathering a little speed and then hit the floor around a foot below the exit at basement level. We pressed the emergency button and a womens voice took note of what had happened, but she did not advise us what she would be doing. We waited, admittedly only around 5 minutes, and then the lady member of staff (I presume it was the one to whom we had spoken) managed to open the lift doors and we were able to climb out - we were around one foot below the exit. She didnt apologise or ask how we were and simply disappeared into an office door leaving us both just standing by the lift in the basement corridor. The other guest thought she perhaps intended to come back but after about 5 minutes we located the staircase and walked up the stairs. When checking out a day or so later, rather surprisingly, when asked by the (different) lady on the desk if I had enjoyed my stay, when I recounted what had happened, adding that there had been no words of concern to what had been a mildly worrying experience, nor any word of apology, she made no eye contact and said nothing!

The window was very big with a nice view. The hotel is clean and we enjoyed the breakfast.

I stayed 5 days on holiday in April. The hotel looks imposing and is in a good, quiet location in a charming square. I had a standard twin room on the first floor overlooking a sort of internal 1st floor roof terrace. It was very quiet, which was just as well as I had to sleep with the windows open nearly every night because the room was very hot and did not have air conditioning. I did not sleep very well, which was exacerbated by the fact that the curtain track was not quite wide enough to stop the light coming in, so I was woken by the sunlight at about 6 am every morning. It was a large and otherwise pleasant room, and the bathroon had a bath as well as a shower. The staff were pleasant and all spoke excellent English. As I did not bring my laptop with me, I was disapointed that there was no computer terminal with internet access for guest use. I had always found such terminals provided in hotels of this class in Germany, so I had not bothered to check in advance whether there would be one. Overall, I recommend this hotel for its good, quiet, convenient location, and general pleasantness, but I would not like to stay here in the summer and would not recommend it during very hot weather.

Very spacious room, more like the US hotels we are accustomed to. Very helpful and friendly staff w/ very good English. Very close to everything in the old town including many restaurants, Wartburg Castle, train station, Bach Haus, Luther Haus, etc.... only a few blocks. I would recommend this hotel and Eisenach to anyone.
