Front desk staff was quite nice and helpful. Parking garage was a little difficult to find from the outside, but once in (after ringing the bell for admission), it was clear where to park. The price was reasonable and the room was lovely.

My hotel was not to be at Frankenthal / Pfal. I sign up for my hotel to at Bad Durkheim ACHAT.

I always stay at the Achat when I visit Frankenthal. It's ideally located near the town centre and in walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. There's also a nice Italian restaurant right beside the hotel where we had dinner twice during our stay. This hotel is very reasonably priced and comfortable. All the staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful so I can only recommend it.

It is a plaine but very clean hotel, well made for an overnight-stay, no additional amenities, only rooms, parking, breakfast and some beverages at the reception available. But they love dogs and have an affectionate stuff who cares for their customers in a very nice way.

An honest, basic, hotel. No frills, a little dated, but very clean, and standard of buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise. I had a single bed but the duvet was too small for it. Sparkling water bottle and champagne flute in room also a puzzle, especially as there was also a small kitchenette but with no crockery at all (I just wanted a glass / cup for some water!).

Fine stay for good price.

There is a private parking lot outside the hotel. The room is clean. Free WIFI is offered in the guestroom but the WIFI signal is not so strong.

Checked in late had no problems because I phoned in advance, i was so hungry luckily had some euros, crisp and chocolat, beer and soft drinks were available from the vending machine you can't get food from anywhere at late times. The hotel wasn't amazing but it was the cheapest one avaible and its value for money plus it's 15 minutes away from Mannheim centre.

Our immediate impression was that the hotel was "tired". But our room, on the 5th floor, was clean and bright. The room and bathroom are small and dated. A small kitchen was also included. As a place to, sleep it was fine.

Achat is a no frills hotel yet everything one needs is in place. A real bathtub was a treat. The kitchenette was useful and the staff gladly supplied a couple of pots.

This is a great place to stay. 5 minute walk to the train station. Then a 10 minute ride to Worms. The personnel were extremely friendly. And since I drove, they allowed me to keep my vehicle in their secured garage until I got back from my sight seeing time. They even recommended certain places they felt were ideal to visit. The neighborhood is really nice. 5 minutes and you are at one of their town gates. The price I thought was fantastic! Oh, and breakfast, you have many options, and it is a fairly formal setting. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. The shower in my room was tiny, other than that, I could not complain of anything.

It was a place to sleep, but that is about it. The best part was the breakfast, which was included in the price. We were on the top floor and the bed was tucked under the slanting ceiling, so don't sit up too fast in bed! Clean and fairly comfortable. A good budget option.

We actually wanted a hotel in Heidelburg but the Hotels.com search result actually recommended me this hotel. I thought it wouldn't be much of a trouble but it was pretty far. Other than that everything was great! Loved the breakfast and the Italian restaurant beneath the hotel. Thank you!

easy access from major road ways. despite location near main roadway noise was not too bad and allowed for a good nights rest. Hotel is comfortable and hotel rates are very reasonable

Unfortunately we did not receive the two wake-up calls we requested, but it may have been a communication problem as we do not speak German. Suggest travellers that need a wake up call, make a personal visit to the front desk and give the hotel clerk the time of the call in writing.

Clean bed Cons: No A/C or fan. Carpet a little dirty. Open window to cool down = noisy street. Smells.... a little. Booger on the wall in my room. I wouldnt stay here again unless it was colder out and there was no where else to go. If its above 70 find a park or a car to sleep in. Not the worst hotel Ive stayed in but definitely in the top 5.

I was pleased with this hotel because: 1. It provided secure parking for the bikes 2. The staff were polite and helpful 3. The rooms were very comfortable, clean, tidy and spacious - plenty of room for bike gear 4. The breakfast was excellent yet cheaper than most similar hotels that we stayed in

It was fine, staff helpful and friendly, room was like a bedist, good, breakfast fine, restaurant next door, but not tried. Hotel a little way from the cente, although no problem to me, as I was driving. Underground car park fine, secure and well-lit etc

The receptionist speaks excellent English, and very accommodating. She allowed us to park the car in front of the hotel patio when there was no parking spaces left in the car park. The room space was good, not too tight. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was hot. The beds were comfortable and firm, although the pillows could have been a little firmer too. The price was very reasonable. Yes, I would recommend the hotel to anyone. The quietness and tranquility was superb, especially after our long drive from England.

We stay in alot of hotels because of our work and lifestyle which is difficult for me as I am very picky about my living environment. ACHAT in Frankenthal was not a dissappointment. First of all it is a very good value compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms are kept very clean by friendly staff that are very accomodating. They are also surprisingly comfortable and larger than most European hotel rooms. The hotel itself is modern and well maintained. The desk staff are friendly, helpful, wonderful people. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again.

This was a sudden weekend break and the hotel recommended by a friend as our usual one was full. It had only been opened 7 months so it was still very much on best behaviour. None of the staff appeared to be over 30 but they were all very efficient and intuitive. The hotel itself was a beautiful mix of old and new, with a large country house as the main reception rooms and the hotel rooms on 2 floors nestled into the hill behind it, connected by a corridor which also contained the actual reception. The rooms were sumptuous and faultless, the main house itself beautifully rebuilt and opened up, with a large fire roaring in the lounge, the smell of woodsmoke emanting through the building. The Infinity Pool and Gym were in a separate block to the far side of the hotel, again simply splendid. The Spa we didnt use, despite girlie bleating, I managed to cough and splutter my way through the price list. Breakfast was an excellent event but can be pricey if not inclusive. I fully recommend it.

The hotel was fine and the employees were very nice, but we picked the hottest day of the year to stay in a otel without air conditioning. The evening manager recommended a German Greek restaurant abot 2 blocks away and it was very good.

Tried the Hotel for one night as a rest point returning from Italy and found the staff charming, the breakfast superb but the hotel rooms a little dated. Would certainly use it again.

Hotel Achat in Frankenthal is a hotel very convenient to the travelers using the highway A6. I stayed there several times during my trip from Hungary to Paris. The hotel is well situated, close to the highway but inside the city. The quality of the services were very good: all the rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel has a garage which is very convenient for travelers.
