Guests stucked in the lift didn't wait long for help but reaction of the staff shown it wasn't the first time it happened. The lift should have been out of service but wasn't and five minutes later it happened again to another guest. Rooms very comfortable and clean.

Lovely, helpful staff (both before & during our stay). Took delivery of tickets for us, and also took our bags to our room after we left them there when we arrived in Dortmund but before check-in opened. Hotel had great transport links as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Dortmund is a fabulous city with great parks and lovely people. The hotel was exceptionally helpful, spoke fluent English. I was travelling with my daughter and because I could not leave the hotel at night the hotel offered me a couple of free beers for the room. Could not rate them highly enough

Clean hotel and near stadium. Was charged for “business package “ that includes breakfast incorrectly ($76 euro)and when I called them to make the adjustments, was advised had to email in the request. Odd that she couldn’t just credit it. Haven’t receive any responses to my email yet. One morning, someone came into room while we were sleeping , could have been cleaning staff but we’re not too sure.

Amazing location if you are going to a futbol game. Easily accessible from subway and train station and only about a 10 min cab ride from central train station in Dortmund.

This is the second time I've booked this hotel whilst attending a Borussia Dortmund football match. Location could not be better. Stadium is literally a 2 minute walk. Hotel has everything you need, including friendly staff. Would stay here again if I return in the future.

We were here with my wife for the star trek convention. Hotel is great. Very quite and in a nice place. A bit far away from the city but there are nice restaurants within walking distance

My son and I booked this hotel as we were going to watch the Dortmund football match against Schalke. The hotel was in the perfect location as it offered car parking, a decent room to stay in and a very short walk to the football stadium. It was absolutely perfect for us and I would definitely recommend the hotel if you are going to the match. Staff at the hotel were excellent and all spoke English, which helped us out!

The hotel is very quiet with great sound proofing so a good nights sleep is easily achieved. The breakfast is good but expensive at 18 Euros. The only downside to this hotel is that its a few miles from the centre and can feel a little isolated. A taxi to the train station is around €10 and there is the underground, but its not the ideal place to stay if youre on a lads weekend. There are a few decent restaurants nearby but not too many bars

The hotel and location were great. I booked the room through Expedia and paid for breakfast included. When I checked out I was again charged Euro 18 for breakfast which in Germany is included with the booking. Euro 18 for breakfast is a ridiculous price that is charged in the first place and then twice is too much. I caution all people travelling and using the site to double check what they are getting and make sure to have everything in writing before accepting the offer.

Perfect hotel for business trip

Hotel is ideal if attending a Borussia Dortmund match, as we did. The stadium is less than a 5 minute walk. Perfect locationIt is also 5 minutes from the metro station to get into the centre of Dortmund

Nice quiet area next to Signal Iduna Stadium ...easy access to city center by using the U-45 & 46

We had a fabulous stay at the hotel, staff were excellent. Close to public transport and the signal iduna park. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone

Good location for the football ground. Hotel is spotless, staff are very friendly and the breakfast is lovely. I would highly recommend this place

We used the Mercure Dortmund to break up a long drive from Germany to the UK, the roads around the hotel are a bit of a maze but it was found ok with sat-nav. Some of the hotel's parking was out of use so we had to wait for someone to leave to get a space, but it was free. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English, room was a nice size with free mini-bar items, and good bed & bathroom. Starting to look a tiny bit tired around the edges but still good standard for the price. Unfortunately we were given a room overlooking renovation works and the work started at 7am, including pneumatic drilling... so not the most relaxing wake-up call ever! In hindsight I should have asked for a room higher up or on the other side of the hotel, but as the hotel didn't seem hugely busy it would've been better if they sited guests away from the building works or had them start the 'heavy stuff' later, as after a couple of hours the workers started quietly gardening! The air-con also seemed not to be able to cool the room sufficiently, and we had to have the windows closed due to the building work. We weren't there to see football or a concert, but this hotel would be a perfect choice if you were.

What a fabulous hotel. Very relaxed atmosphere, the welcome and friendliness of the waiter in the restaurant was second to none and also accommodating with the menu options for children. First rate
