I like a firm bed. It was very comfortable. The bathroom was a little cramped. I asked for a tall toilet with grab bars. I guess they didn't have these. If accessibility is needed call before booking. Be specific as to what is needed.

I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s a decent place to stay. Nice to be able to park outside your door to unload. Bring a chip clip or hair clip to keep the drapes closed. Got a total of 9 emails for this 1 night stay. That seems excessive, but can’t complain that they don’t communicate.

Carpet is in desperate need of replacing. Otherwise staff was excellent along with the motel.

The staff were so very helpful. From an upgrade in room type even as we arrived early. They also helped us with two other things that day.
This locally owned inn was all about us. The rooms are very recently renovated and were wonderful. Incredible property.

The front desk guy was polite and very helpful. He left the key in a lockbox on the door because I called and said I was checking in late.
The room was another story. Every penny they had for the remodel budget went into the shower. The rest of the room had uneven floors, old warn down carpet and obvious patches on the walls.

The rooms are older which is fine. The king bed had pillows that were smaller then queen pillows. Was not explained wifi or breakfast at check in. I guess you could look online and find some stuff out on your own. Everything was through text message and not in person. All in all it’s an older motel but was clean and somewhat updated.

This property is an older facility remodeled. It was clean and quiet. The staff was very accommodating . We needed sleeping spaces for a group and they provided. Pool was immaculate. Hot tub was cleaned while we were there so it was also clean. Good place to stay while visiting the area.

Room was dated, furniture was well used up and ready to retire. A few loud dogs barking in room below didn’t help my nerves after driving all day. Hot tub was taken over by young kids. You are paying for location close to Salida.

The floors in the rooms are disgusting take out the old carpet!! There is a broken transition strip from the fake wood floors to the crummy carpet, trip and fall hazard. My feet were black from walking without shoes!! Also the hide a bed is all busted up, so it didn't pull out and set up correctly. Staff or a guest at some point tried to fix it with the throw pillows from the couch lol didn't work. This place needs TLC and some paint, as well as a real thorough cleaning throughout.

Thank you for being pet friendly! My dog and I loved staying there. She liked the nearby yard to do her business. Great accommodating staff, especially Red and Bob, always friendly and willing to assist.

The check in was easy, staff was so friendly and helpful. Our team truly enjoyed our experience at the salida inn & monarch suites, they made sure we were comfortable and the best part the breakfast they made sure everything was stocked at all times and all the guest staying with them would be happy and fed. Definitely coming back next year for heart of the Rockies rampage and staying with them again. See ya next year

The property is old, but loved. The owners have clearly tried to improve the rooms to stay up with newer hotels. The staff are so nice. Beds are comfortable. And so welcoming of pets…amazing as most hotels do not accommodate pets. I truly enjoyed my stay…and I wasn’t expecting too!

We had a great stay as a family of 3. Check-in was easy and stayed in room 203. The views were stunning from anywhere on property and the room was quiet. My husband had the best night’s sleep of our vacation so far. We picnicked by the hot tub and took in the mountain air. Breakfast was quick and we were happy to have bagels and cinnamon raisin bread. Make sure and enjoy a cup of coffee before you head out for the day. It’s fantastic.

It was ok except for the outside walkway light was directly above our window and even with the drapes closed our room was flooded with bright light. The other lights were not directly in front of the other rooms.

As a family of 5 it is hard to get one room for all of us, usually we have to get two rooms, which is hard when we are trying to do things as a family. I appreciated that we were able to be together as a family.
The facility we were in had a few issues, the shower didn't seem to have much pressure, and the cold and hot buttons were not in the right spots. Those are things we were able to deal with. Enjoyed the jets in the tub.
Staff when we checked in was super friendly. They gave us good suggestions on where to eat.
