I booked this hotel because it was advertised as having air conditioned rooms. The reality is that, only the reception area and the lifts have got air conditioning. I was unable to sleep for two nights because the temperature in my room was hotter than it was outside. The staff kindly offered two different rooms but they were equally hot if not hotter. Although they refunded me for the unused nights, I felt that it was not fair to charge for nights that I haven’t been able to sleep. One pays for a hotel to ‘sleep’ so if the guest is unable to sleep because the hotel room is unfit for purpose then it is not fair to charge that guest.
The three rooms that I had seen and stayed at were very dated, the beds were small, and the bathrooms did not look fresh. The rooms were also very dusty, the carpets were stained and the kettles were dirty. If there is one positive thing about this hotel, the location is convenient as it is close to the cafes and restaurants. However, Manheim is such a small place that everything is within walking distance anyway.

I had booked in for 2 nights as a solo female guest. When i got there they advised the restaurant and bar were closed and there were plenty places around that i could use. I specifically booked this as there was a restaurant and bar as i was travelling solo and didnt want to be going out alone at night

It was not clean, the staff wasnt helpful, checkin was later due to a technical issue, no housekeeping for 4 days or change of towels.

After my stay at Maritim hotel mannheim, i have sent them email many times for requesting proof of stay but they never give me reply. Same is happening for Maritime group contact form. I dont know what is going on with them.
Btw, the room did not have an air conditioner and it was hot.

I only stayed here for the last day of my trip but I likely wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel is old but beautiful, there was a very smokey smell as well but I understand this is often an issue, my issue was the a/c in the room wasn’t working and staff insisted that it did. So instead of offering to switch the room or accommodate they just repeatedly gave me the same instructions.

Hotel's location is unbeatable next to the Water Tower, the fountain, and many good cafes. The room was spacious and comfortable and clean. The bar off the lobby is old-school with great cocktails and service. The price was right. The front desk was friendly. The decor is classic and well-maintained. Street parking is easy, and the railway station is close by. We will be returning.

Great location right across from the Water Tower, clean and confortable beds, friendly staff. Lots of restaurant's in the area.

Very small room and initially poor service from reception. Spoke to duty manager next day. He was very helpful and resolved issues for our second night. Overall very clean and comfortable but both restaurants and swimming pool were closed.

This place is beyond outdated and old. Their computer system and check in process was beyond inconvenient for me! I booked and paid through Expedia and they claimed that I didn’t when I was getting ready to check out. They were trying to charge my credit again for an outrageous amount of money. When I showed them my phone/ proof of booking online they claimed it wasn’t showing on their computer system. Their computer system is outdated and their customer service is nonexistent! Go to a more modern and updated hotel. They also have zero amenities and their rooms are covered in dust and grime! Disgusting!

The hotel was probably very good once, but needs some upgrade now. No warm water the first day of our stay and no air condition for the whole stay in the whole hotel, it was very hot in the rooms during the night.

Excellent location (right across from the “Wasserturm”.) Hotel is ideal for the traveler who prefers the old, traditional architecture and touches. By and large very well preserved. Staff is not very friendly.

Our impression was that the hotel had a lot of charm but could use some updates. We stayed for two nights in the family room. We liked the feather pillows, the small refrigerator and the general space of the room. However we felt new carpet and some repairs on the furnishings would be beneficial. The bathroom in general could use some updating but to add to that, upon arrival the toilet paper roll was practically empty and there was only one tissue in holder. We liked the large balcony but found it strange there was no furniture to sit on. Our favorite part was the pool, which we were lucky to have completely to ourselves. I think my biggest complaint would be that there was no coffee machine (I believe due to Covid).

Great location, beautiful building, but the rooms were very outdated, with electrical installations hanging from the tables and no light in the lamps by the bed. There was no shampoo at the bathroom, only two lotions.

Very old furniture, Housekeeping didn't change the bedsheets every day, no Iron!, Metall keys! No smart Keys!. The only positive thing is the location.
