Toilet was way too low for a handicapped person. We also asked for a room by the elevator but we were way down the hall. The breakfast was very good.

Lovely, clean hotel. Great pool and gym. Breakfast is amazing. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, waffles, cereal, juice, coffee etc. definitely will stay again.

I never leave reviews typically, but I feel like it is warranted for our stay at La Quinta in Salem, Or. First thing when we arrived at 3:00 pm (check-in time) we were told our room was not ready and that we had to wait 30 minutes. Fine, so we waited and after 30 minutes asked again if it was ready yet and we got a “No” again. Then another reception attendant came out and asked us what were waiting for about 15 minutes later. Well we told her and she said “oh, we have rooms available on the second floor,” which we were surprised to hear because we thought there were no rooms ready! I’m not sure what the miscommunication was, but at that point we felt we were being jerked around by the first person I dealt with (lady with grey hair and glasses). She was unpleasant, had a bad attitude all around and seemed more interested in her phone than anything else. At another point during our stay I was looking for someone at the front desk to buy some snacks along with another patron who wanted to check-in and we had no idea where the front desk attendant was. Then, here comes the same attendant about ten minutes later who mentioned she was making coffee and getting water. I understand that you need to refresh this stuff for guests, but there should be either someone at the front desk at all times or you should be checking to see if there’s customers waiting to be helped out periodically. Room was semi-clean, need new towels and bed was pretty firm as well. Breakfast was good.

It was interesting Upon arrival. The front desk clerk wasn’t used to people with diversity, but that’s OK. We’re used to the treatment and it was OK for the area we were in the only problem with the room was the toilet seat was broken and very little towels.

Lady at Check-in was kind and friendly. Room was spacious. The lighting in the room was horrible though. Breakfast was great. Great location by the highway.

I was Charged $100 for a bathroom fan I didn’t break. In fact I brought it up to the front office that it wasn’t working. And second, the smoke alarm was going off in the middle of the night.

The property is modern and clean. Easy access to and from the freeway. Easy dining nearby. Pet friendly and well kept grounds.

A little more attention in the room service

The essence of mediocrity. Dated, moldy and smelly rooms with paper thin walls. Power tools at 5am in the morning. Avoid this place

Area was okay. Hotel itself was good. Rooms and common areas were clean. Carpets could use a good cleaning. Beds were comfortable but pillows were terrible - flat, hard pillows. Biggest complaint (not the hotel’s fault, of course) was some irresponsible woman who brought some dog that barked at all hours of the day and night. I have pets, 3 cats and a dog, and I would never allow my dog to be that disruptive in a hotel. So disrespectful to other travelers. All I can say is if you’re sensitive to noise while sleeping, maybe go elsewhere or hope you don’t get stuck with a crap neighbor like we did. Lesson learned…I will look for non pet friendly hotels when traveling without my dog.

Everything was excellent! Staff and room were beyond our expectations!

I liked this place but the only thing I could say is that we were on the bottom floor closest to the pool and it was loud. But I would stay again but not on the bottom floor.

Location

LaQuinta prides itself on being pet friendly but charges you $25 per pet even when no clean up is required. This should be refunded if nothing is required.

Clean

I liked the view from my room. I didn't like other guests room doors slamming too much day and night.

The cost of bringing your pet with you has gone to very expensive. La Quinta used to be 0 cost and has increased to 25.00. That’s outrageous! We have stayed at quite a few LaQuinta’s in several states. They are slowly going downhill . We will not be staying there again. We will miss it but!!!

The man at the front desk when I checked in was friendly & professional & he remembered me from a previous stay. The room was very clean & welcoming!

The La Quinta is a quiet and clean hotel close to restaurants and shopping.

Shower didnt get hot. Room didnt have office chair and took asking 3 times to get one. I was checked in under wrong name originally and had to be moved and was moved into worse room. Mediocre hotel. Clean though.
