We were staying for a large conference and the delegates stayed here and at 2 sister hotels nearby. Room was excellent, comfortable and complimentary water, tea/coffee and evening turn down service. Breakfast was good quality albeit not a massive range but more than enough choice. Food served for the confernece dinners was very good and service was polite and excellent. Swam in outdoor pool which was heated and indoor pool is more for relaxation and smaller. Did not have time to try the spa or other facilities.

Beautiful location on the amazing La Baule beach. Amazing views across the beach from the balcony. Especially loved the free bikes to allow for exploring the surrounding area.

brilliant hotel !

I just got married and they didn’t do anything which is surprising for a 5 stars hotel.

Hotel = Beautiful 5 star hotel, worthy of price. Service = The service is really good, I have rarely seen such a good hotel with such good service. I have seen this only in hotels where the price per night is above or around 1000 euro. Food = Was OK, and above average of what you would expect of such an hotel. However, the fish/sea restaurant was amazingly good! Breakfast was one-sided, and not tasty. Me, and my wife did not enjoy it once. Moreover, I think that after 12:00 at night sufficient and decent food must be available. This was not the case, through the room service only lasagna and such, (which was often finished), and everything else is closed after 12/1 at night in the hotel. Do not let this stop you from visiting this hotel and the other hotels of the Barriere group. The service was so formidable that we even left around 500 euros TIP in total (if not more). We are guaranteed to visit these, and other hotels of the Barriere group once again, and this time for a longer period than the one week we have been there. Especially for couples this hotel is perfect, we really did enjoy our time there.

Newly renovated large hotel. Good location and good service. Room was lovely with comfortable bed. Beach restaurant could be better, however breakfast was excellent. Free bikes were brilliant. Loungers on beach we’re expensive and quite uncomfortable with no mattress. Overall though an enjoyable stay.

Certainly lives up to it’s 5* rating, perhaps the patio area could do with some greenery, but that may be arriving

FIrst class restaurant friendly staff.very good first experience

Unfortunately the hotel did not meet our expectations. We were travelling by motorbike and one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel was its promotion of secure parking - this turned out to be park by the window of the reception of the hotel on the pavement. The hotel is very dark inside with everything painted dark brown the rooms continue this theme and are very small.

This is a classic "five" star in excellent condition. Unusually fir europe, a bellman greets you and takes your bags to your room. The location is lovely, 10 steps onto the beach.

Received a free upgrade through Expedia so stayed in a spacious superior room. Only one minor complaint - the shower hose was not tilted so you either soaked the floor or held the hose yourself! Other than that, everything was wonderful, including the service. Ate in the restaurant by the beach and had a fantastic meal. Would definately go back.
