Very good - staff were very pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location great for shopping, restaurants and theatre.

Easy check in. Friendly staff. Lovely clean and comfortable room and shower. Fantastic breakfast with very attentive staff. Easy and quick check out. City centre near all shops/restaurants and pubs.

We were put into room 329 to begin with it was freezing and there was a dead moth on the ceiling. The mattress was rock hard. My husband called reception to ask about the heating and was very abruptly told they control it from there he had to ask for it to be put on. After 20 mins of sitting in a cold room we had to complain to reception at first they offered us a heater, why would we need this was there an issue with the heating of the rooms hmm unsure. We were then asvised they could move us to another room which we accepted and proceeded to go pack up our belongings to then have to go back down to reception to get another key card. Breakfast was cold and not anywhere near a full Scottish breakfast very poor choice

Smooth. Room comfortable and tidy. Staff pleasant and ever present . Breakfast, tasty as hell, just wish my appetite was big enough to finish it. I have mobility issues so I was happy that my room (314) was easily accessible. My one ignorable complaint would be that the bath was a bit on the small side. However, I am 6'2".

Same old problem as in most hotels with showers over the bath difficult getting in and out. Nice Hotel central for shops and entertainment.

Good location. No problem with room. My only comment for improvement would be the start of breakfast service being 8am had this been 6.30 am then I would give it a better rating. I would stop there again as everything else was faultless

Great staff, we had a problem with the window in the original apartment we booked. They couldn't solve the problem but were more than happy to move us to another Apartment a 2 minute walk away. Also offered for someone to come and help with our bags. Overall great experience and would happily stay again.

Central and comfortable, with friendly and efficient staff. The place could do with a bit of updating, but for the price it was fine. Quite noisy outside if you’ve got the window open, but it was a Friday in the city centre, so kind of expected! The restaurant downstairs does basic pub food, ok for a quick bite before heading out. All in all, it’s fine for a night or two, and would stay again.

Nice hotel, but the buses were loud, the buses also shaked the building as they went by. The crosswalk bell was very loud.

Parking difficult limited space to book ahead, not easy to find the parking. Property could provide better directions and instructions.

Arrived late at night, tired and hungry only to be met with a «less than friendly» receptionist, I got the distinct impression that she wanted me out of sight as soon as possible. No smile, no hospitality whatsoever. Really? Where do they find these people?
The staff I met in the morning was nice and polite. No complaints.

Breakfast at the hotel was good. Molly’s Restaurant also offered tasty dinners. Parking was nearby as advertised. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Getting to our room was like going through a maze but the room was clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Had a lovely 3 night stay at The Douglas. Which was less than an 5 minute walk from many amenities. Arrived 2 hours early for check in but our room was ready and we managed to check in right away, receptionist very helpful and friendly. Our room albeit a bit dated, was clean and fresh. The buffet breakfast, had plenty choice, and everything was of good quality. Dining staff extremely attentive and made sure nothing was running out. All in all a great experience at this hotel, and would have no reason to not recommend it. My partner and I will certainly be staying here on our next trip to Aberdeen.

Our stay was pleasant enough. The hotel is clean and well presented after some recent re-decoration. It is well placed in downtown Aberdeen. Breakfast isn’t great as the ingredients are not top quality.

A lot of reviews of this property say it is dated and too hot; I don’t disagree that the room had an old-time charm about it, but it wasn’t a bad thing, it was however very warm, and a provided fan for the room wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Wonderful place. Staff was awesome and extremely helpful. Thank you charlotte for helping us navigate to your car park!! Breakfast was good and smoke. Room was comfortable. A bit of outside noise but it stopped before it got too late. Nice location. Our room was big.

Very nicely decorated big bedroom & bathroom, big comfy bed.

Located on a busy street with no area to park for check-in, better pre-check-in instructions needed for arriving travellers, night parking inadequate. But all staff were friendly and helpful. Close to the very good maritime museum.

Condition of the room was at best poor room was hot and stuffy so you had to open the window and the noise from outside was absolutely appalling the room was small with cracks on the walls window ingos were rotten and the tiles on the bathroom floor were missing grout and the finish of the room was incredibly poor

Close to bus station and train station, nice hotel, no fans in the room, so on a hot day, room will be stuffy. Nice restaurant, very helpful staff.

Staff were great, as was the room (very spacious). Hotel is located in a convenient area with lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. My only issue was that there was some sort of benefit dinner/event being held in the event hall on the main floor, so it was very loud in our room late into the night.

Nice hotel in an older building in a central part of the city close to many points of interest and shopping. There are close by bars down the ally at the side/rear which were a bit noisy at night and made it more difficult for my light sleeping wife to get to sleep but otherwise it was comfortable. Would recommend getting a room higher up and not at the back if louder noises keep anyone up.
