The WiFi was terrible. The connection was that of the old time dial up. The carpets were grimy and need replacing. The beds were fine and for the price it was acceptable. The room is very outdated and the whole place needs a renovation with brighter colors and newer furniture

Front desk worker was super nice, and super helpful. Facility is very worn and dingy. Lots of damaged walls, and poorly done touch up paint throughout. Our first room had someone else's body hair sitting on the side of the tub. We received a welcome text inviting us to let them know if we needed any assistance. Our TV did not work. I replied to the welcome text about the issue, and received a reply that said "we are unable to respond." Front desk worker tried to fix the TV, and when he couldn't, switched us to a different room. Overall, not terrible place to stay, but I would have been disappointed if we were on a pleasure trip.

We stay at this hotel because it’s the closest to my mom’s nursing home. The hotel is working on remodeling. The lobby looks great, the pool is finally done and looks good also. The rooms I’ve stayed in have been repainted and new artwork has been added. However, the painting that has been done is terrible. You can see the old color, there are streaks on the floors, and the caulk and paint spills have not been cleaned up. New painters are desperately needed. Breakfast is ok - they have 2 waffle makers. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I stay at this hotel because it’s the closest hotel to my mom’s nursing home. Breakfast is included so I can be at Highland Oaks as early as I need to be.

Of all the hotels that I have slept out ranging from 2 star to 5 star this was the best night sleep I have ever had! We had a king size suite with a separate bedroom, with a door, from a 'living room' area. All the basics were covered. The breakfast was well tendered by the staff. The staff was friendly and professional. The only thing that bothered me was the paint job in the room. Maybe the painters did not have painters tape available to use. Paint was on door hinges, handles, and other places that should not have paint on them.

The hotel was ok but definitely needed some attention. The paint job was awful; overspraying onto door knobs, wood work etc. Toilet seats peeling. Our shower curtain was ripped in several places. Towels were thin. Pillows extremely "soft". The breakfast was good and the pool looked ok. Attention to the little details would make a big difference.

The property was extremely run down. Dirty doors to rooms, stained sheets, the outlet in the bathroom did not work and there was an order. When booked it said it was an 8, truly a 6

Always appreciate some fresh breakfast options along with the standard cereal and breads. They had amenities like a small gym and indoor pool. Everything was functional and okay cleanliness, but definitely in need of a facelift.

The hotel had bed bugs. We switched rooms and both rooms had bed bugs. We asked for a refund and we're refused. We did not stay at the hotel and still had to pay full price. It was the worst hotel I have ever seen. Absolutely disgusting.

We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman on arrival and he answered all our questions. Parking was easy, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was lovely but I would have liked to get a black tea with milk. I am British! 🙂 Other than that, we were very happy with the service and accommodation. It was safe and within an easy distance of Chicago O'Hare airport.

Initially given room had a cleanliness concern. Upon informing the front desk, the staff offerred a different room but that had a clogged wash basin. There was also a stain on the comforter that felt unclean. Could not move to a third room as they said they did not have any other of that type. Upon reporting the issues to front desk in the morning again and requesting a compensation, the hotel kindly and quickly processee a refund of about half the room rate.

Strong smoke smell, very run down, elevator is scary, stairs has lights out and stains everywhere. Staff was extremely friendly and tried to be helpful- not the staffs fault the facilities is run down.

Place is very run down. Paint issues throughout the place. Nasty ceilings. Room was dirty. Cobwebs and debris from prior guests. Contacted front desk and was met with attitude about the request to clean. Why we didn’t say something the first night. We got in at midnight and no one was available at the desk. They came in and removed cobwebs but not the debris we told them about.
