Hotel was super nice compared to similar hotels. Was only 5 more dollars and it was very comfortable and clean. Few spots they could have worked on but overall great.
Service was good but tv remote controller didn’t work besides off/on and phone in room didn’t work.

The staff that checked us in (at midnight) was very sweet. The folks we encountered in the morning were also friendly. The place was clean, but it’s got some deferred maintenance that should be addressed. Nothing major, but doors and finishes could use a sparkle. Also, because we are familiar with the area we knew about the train, which is right across the ateeet at at a horn intersection. But if something like that bothers you, pick a place not on Hwy 70.

We booked while on the road. They were ready when we arrived. Location was ideal. It was very clean. Our bathroom needs renovation. For the money it was great.

Some effort had been made to update this property, but it was more a cover up than a renovation. The neighborhood was industrial with no restaurants or shopping.

Decent facility and room. Bathtub didn’t drain well. AC wasn’t working too well. Horn-blowing trains passed through up until 11pm and restarted around 6am.

Nothing wrong with the facilty , just basic mid-quality. You get what you pay for in terms of upkept hotels/motels.
Was sad when we arrived to check in that the pool was closed. My kids had been looking forward to that, i would have stayed elsewhere if i had known the pool was closed. Nothing to do about it there, things break, just bummed.
Staff was good, check in was quick and simple.

I have two issues: 1) I’ve stayed at Sleep Inns in other locations and the rooms were somewhat modernized and clean. That’s one reason why I chose the Sleep Inn in Clovis. I postponed showering before bedtime as I was tired. This morning I opened the shower curtain to start the water and shower had not been cleaned from prior guest-body hair in the shower and grime. Ceramic coating in shower peeling off and poorly repaired. I had to clean the shower myself. 2) Expedia rate special of $29 was advertised but not honored by hotel.

What I Like about property location and ai did not like housekeeping practices.

Clean soft beds! Very limited breakfast with terrible coffee. (The Java Loft was amazing, just a few blocks north.) The pool was broken but Hillcrest Park, playground, and dog park, just two blocks north was amazing to run off energy! Room smelled strange, shower drained slowly, microwave wasn't wiped down before us, but otherwise clean. All the hotels on the south side of town are right by the train track/station, but we only heard it once overnight. Stephen at the front desk was an amazing host and apologized profusely about the pool, offered a refund/uncheck in, but we decided to stay anyway.

Check in was a disaster. Room was not cleaned. Given a second room also not clean. Finally third room was cleaned. My wife and I are in our 70’s. Our original room was upstairs about as far away from elevators and entrance as possible. The final room was much more conveniently located. Why not give us that room first? I have never given this kind of rating before. I don’t like doing this. Very disappointing.

The property was pretty old. There was a foot/vinegar smell that was strong when walking in the room. We thought it was the old carpet but found that it was coming from the air conditioner. Sprayed some Lysol in it and it seemed better. Ok breakfast.
