Had a wonderful stay. We will be back

Bewarre, photos are very misleading. This hotel is a wreck, and needs significant updating. Shag carpets in rooms was old and dirty, We didn't dare walk on it in bare feet. Door to room showed multiple signs of someone kicking in door. Exterior door stop/safety lock was gone from door frame, and showed numerous holes where it had been reattached multiple times. Breakfast and conference area was just creepy. It was like the scene from a horror movie.

Old and dingy motel

I loved that it was a unique and historical building. I realized they are still updating the property. Overall it looked good but the attention to detail seemed to be lacking. I notified the desk after my first night about 5 small items and they offered to move me to another room. I declined because most were easy fixes. I guess I assumed they would fix at least 2 items, light bulb/fixture didn't work and stain on the coverlet. Well neither were addressed.

Love the atrium. The pool and the play area are perfect for toddlers and young children. Thanks for fulfilling my request and giving us a room inside. The last time we stayed was outside in the back. The hotel rooms could use a few upgrades. We would stay again, especially when we have the grandchildren.

Upon arrival, my daughter and I were given a room in the very back of the hotel. Sharing the parking lot was another facility, I’m not sure what it was but it didn’t feel safe with the people there. There were a few dead bugs in that room and it felt more like a motel than a hotel. The toilet overflowed so they arranged for us to get another room. They first wanted to give us a room next door to the previous room but I explained to the front desk person that I really didn’t feel safe and she accommodated me to a room in the front of the hotel. The new room was much nicer and felt a lot more safe! There were no more bugs but our shower was dirty. Overall I can tell that the staff is really trying, and our stay wasn’t terrible, just needs a little work in those areas.

For the price it lacked amenities for the suite, even though it was under construction I’m not sure if my room was redone recently. If it was, they need a new contractor.

Always amazing take great care of property

Great place to spend the night. The pool area was very nice, and the location is convenient to the downtown area.

Rooms are old and run down. I won’t stay here again. For the same money I can stay at the Hilton

Rooms were small, dirt and bed were uncomfortable.

I stayed with my two daughters ages 6 and 4 and this place is amazing for kids, the pool is wonderful. Definitely will stay again!

Great service

There is remodeling and updating rooms, our room was a little dated but it was overall comfortable and clean.

We stayed for two, nonconsecutive nights. The room was nice, quiet and comfortable. The carpeting could stand to be replaced. On the first night we were put in a room on the ouside that had no weather stripping or anything to keep yhe bugs from outside from getting in, and the room and desk by the door was covered in little bugs with wings. The desk clerk was kind enough to move us to a differnt room inside. In our new room our shower backed up and didn't drain. On the second night, in a differnt room, our shower draind, but slowly, and we lost power in the back half of the room. The hot breakfast was okay. They had coffee, orange and cranberry juice avaliable. We stayed on a weekday, and there was hardly anyone else there and we had the whole atrium mostly to ourselves. The staff was mostly very friendly, (except for one grumpy gentleman) and they allowed for us to have a late check-out. The pool was really nice, clean and heated. The games were good, and my kiddo had a lot of fun running around in a safe, cool space to play. Everything said, we would stay there again.

unique that has a play area but the bleach on the pool was very strong you can feel it without getting in and on top of that i saw a rat 🐀 walking around by the stairs

Nice hotel, nice location. Needs a little work, but overall a very pleasant stay.

This is an older hotel, but the room was clean. The common areas were not very clean, but they were remodeling. The indoor pool, playground, arcade & pool tables were very convenient for people with children.

Never stayed at a motel like this, that had so many activities for my kids to stay busy.

Love it

I wasn't expecting this based on the 8 rating this hotel has. Our first room had a leaky bathroom ceiling and smelled of old cigarette smoke. Second room smelled really bad of old cigarette smoke but was otherwise clean. The hotel itself was neat, but the conditions that the rooms were in were terrible and I would not recommend staying here. I understand they are doing renovations so I would wait until they are done before booking this place.

The atrium was the best

This is an older property which has decent cleanliness but the acoustics should be improved to block out noise from the outside and adjacent rooms. I understand that they will be doing a renovation of the facility which should help with this issue. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

Pool was great. Amazing place to bring kids. Breakfast was top notch. Highly recommend.
